The service was absolutely wonderful, they made us all feel welcomed and were very helpful with the menu. Order recommendations were spot on.   • "Great special dinner for our NYC trip. Food was outstanding. I had the chicken, which was among the best I ever had in my life. My wife had the halibut (and let me have a small taste.). Was also outstanding. My wife was torn between the donuts and the chocolate soufflé... Cesar, out outstanding waiter, suggested the donuts which were really yummy, and then surprised her with a small version of the soufflé as well! A great small surprise that made her feel great. Nice touch! It wasn't cheap, but for us was well worth it. "

  • "Enjoyed a very nice dinner to celebrate a birthday at Craft. We ordered two mains (roasted scallops and black bass) and three sides (gnocchi, ramps and hen of the woods mushrooms). Amuse buche was cauliflower soup. Everything was cooked to perfection. The roasted hen of the woods mushrooms were amazing. Finished with chocolate soufflé and mini cakes with a candle on a decorated plate. Craft even made a personalized menu for the birthday girl. Hope to return next time we visit NYC. "

  • "Delicious food, we shared the 30 day dry aged steak...all I cn say is: amazing! All of the ingredients were fresh and beautifully prepared. The staff was attentive without being intrusive. Although the somolier gave us a good wine recommendation, I really didn't care for his demeanor. A little too pretentious and not particularly conversational. Just ask 2 questions and went and got a bottle...no further discussion, no options. Not at all personable."

  • "I took a friend to celebrate a "big" birthday, and it was really a great meal. We had a half-bottle of champagne to start (nice) and the chef's tasting menu with wine pairing. Each course was thoughtfully prepared and presented, and the wine pairing was lovely - progressing from lighter to fuller and complimenting the courses very well. The service was attentive and friendly, and they had a few special touches for my friend's birthday - including a customized menu with "Happy Birthday" at the top. The manager was fantastic, and really made the entire experience even more memorable by giving us a quick tour of the kitchen & wine cellar, and a glimpse at the private room. Will return for another celebration for sure! "

  • "We made reservations and let the restaurant know that we were celebrating our 35th Wedding Anniversary, and that we wanted a quiet table. The management and staff all made an extraordinary effort to make this a special evening, going way over and above anything we could have imagined. And the food was prepared beautifully, and tasted delicious! We've already tried to book another reservation, but couldn't get a table. No problem, we'll most definately keep trying!"

  • "The four of us had really been looking forward to this dinner. On a scale of 1 to 10, we rated our entrees a 7. The food is a bit strange, and you have to ask lots of questions about ingredients. Portions were small, except for my pork porterhouse. It could have fed 4! And, unfortunately, it was chewy and gristley. My husband hated his $53 veal chop. Short ribs were stringy but tasty; the portion was small. The quality of the food doesn't equal the price."

  • "My wife received a $100 gift card to Craft for her birthday. So we went ahead and made a reservation. We knew Craft's reputation ahead of time and understood it's price range. So I wasn't shocked by the expensive tab. I was just disappointed by the quality of food. It was good, but it definitely did not blow us away, at all. I feel as thought I could list a dozen places in NYC on top of my head where I've had a MUCH better meal at less than half the price. Based on our experience we won't be returning to Craft anytime soon. Definitely not without a gift-card to subsidize it."

My experience EXCEEDED my every expectation. The food was truly the best meal I have ever had. The servers, floor manager, hostess--everyone was so helpful and friendly. The decor is beautiful. If I could have given more than 5 stars in my rating, I would have. I hope I get to dine here again when I am in New York. What a delicious treat and a wonderful memory. Thank you to all of the hard working staff at Craft. Chef Colicchio should be proud."

  • "Went to Craft for our anniversary and splurged on the tasting menu. From the opening course to the last course we couldn't have been more pleased. Following eating each course we'd say it was the best one and then the next course would come out and we'd have to correct ourselves and say, no, this was the best item. I've been to many restaurants over the years and at the end of our meal I told our server it was the best restaurant meal I've ever had."

  • "Craft was very generous in helping us celebrate our 35th anniversary. I mentioned it on the reservation and they reconfirmed it on the reminder call. Everyone greeted us with a happy anniversary, gave us the nice corner table, served us a complimentary sparkling wine toast, had Happy 35th Anniversary with our names printed on the menu and a little extra sweet treat at the end. They rolled up the menus to take home with us as well as a little breakfast treat for the morning. It was our first visit to Craft and the food and service was exceptional. It was really nice to see and receive the extra attention on this special day in our lives, greatly appreciated. Thanks Craft!!"

  • "My wife and I recently enjoyed dinner at Craft while on a business trip to Manhattan. Being a fan of Top Chef we decided that our "One big night out" would be to Craft for the tasting menu. I can assure you that you will not be disappointed. Te food and service were beyond excellent, the portions were perfect, even for a guy like me that appreciates a big dinner. I know that next time we will try other places but we will definitely find an opportunity to return."
