  • "Unfortunately my fish monk fish was cold No one asked me if any issue , no farewell from staff Lady in charge of my table was nice Male waiter too pushy about mineral water, i run a few restaurants and know the game..."

  • "One of the best meals i have had for a long time. Very creative combination of things that tasted delicious. Service was helpful and attentive. Thank you!"

  • "Phenomenal food matched by the service. This restaurant is worth every penny (it's more expensive than most, but not in the stratosphere of some NYC restaurants). The food is prepared with minimal ingredients (ask about the menu or you won't know how any particular item is prepared) that lets each ingredient shine. You'll leave feeling very good about the entire experience. Well done."

  • "Craft is a must for perfectly seasoned food cooked in refined and flavorful jus and sauces. Fantastic bar and cocktails as we."

  • "Great dining experience. Mother was visiting from California so wanted to show her a good time. Craft did not disappoint!"

  • "Besides the superior quality of the food, service, and ambience, this is the ideal place to celebrate a birthday. The menu arrives printed with a personalized birthday greeting, and the meal is topped off with a plate drizzled with ganache birthday greetings. The service is impeccable, but not pretentious. I particularly recommend a sampling of the side dishes, which vary because they are seasonal. The spring onions were heavenly. My only wish is that they include more vegetarian dishes. My son just had one option, and that was the only disappointment. Otherwise, I highly recommend Craft. I have dined there before and can't wait to return to this wonderful restaurant."

  • "I had dinner with a young lady who styles herself as a real foodie and reality she is simply a caravan follower taking her to a house of real food was a revelation to her"

  • "The food in general was good but not all of it. I went to Craft NYC to celebrate my birthday with my friends but it was not as I was expecting. Some dishes were excellent as the Octopus, the Foie Gras, the American Wagyu Culotte and the Mushrooms Head of the Woods; but others were just fine as the Beef Short Rib or the Monkfish that was bad. They didn't have all the dishes on the menu which is a big disappointment. The service was good but not extraordinary as this kind of restaurants should have."

  • "The food quality, presentation, and timing were all excellent. Portions were large so no one walked away feeling unsatisfied. Flavors came together very well, Arugula salad with lemon dressing was amazing. The service was excellent, our waitress was there when we needed her with great advice. The only downside (and nit enough to diminish the overall experience) was the profiteroles, not of the quality of the rest of the meal."

  • "We have not been to Craft for many years, and I think it was better than ever. The food selection was varied and seasonable. The preparations were wonderful and the presentations in the copper pans brought us back to France. You really had to applaud the sauce chef, as each one was bursting with flavor. We had a very nice evening with great food!"

  • "We booked a reservation for our 20th anniversary and were treated to an unforgettable evening. Loved that the menu is presented in a small plates format with credit to local foods producers. The sommelier was very helpful and introduced us to an Italian wine we might otherwise have overlooked. All the dishes were delicious, and they kindly accommodated my request for a sample of dark chocolate for dessert. Highly recommend!!!"

  • "We went to Craft for our anniversary dinner and they treated us amazingly the whole night. The atmosphere, service, and food were all excellent. We wouldn't have changed a thing. The large salad and sides were delicious and served in a nice way for sharing. Right down to the take-home muffins, it was a perfect night!"

  • "The service is top of the line, great atmosphere and the food is divine. It doesn't get any better than this! Our favorite restaurant by far, a very special place."

  • "We have been here four times now and every time the menu is different reflecting seasonal veggies and menu items. Literally everything is good. We always get the braised short rips, risotto, carpaccio, and some veggies. Always leave sooo full and satisfied. The staff is always amazing. This place is one of my favorite places in the flatiron district, and possibly in NYC!!! Do yourself a favor and plan a romantic dinner or special occasion dinner here. Your friends will be impressed. Also their wine selection is amazing. Nothing but good things to say about craft and my experiences here."

  • "The best food and service that we had on our visit to NYC. Everything at Craft was perfect."

  • "Based on the rave reviews I had read on Open Table and others, I expected more. The wine list was amazing, borderline insane. The choices on the menu were great, but the execution came off bland and unexciting. Perhaps it was more in the choices we made, but I didn't have a single dish that made me say WOW, which at this level of dining I expect. Good, but disappointingly, not great."

  • "It was our wedding anniversary. They treated us special with nice touches as complimentary glasses of sparkling wine and personized menus. The food and service were outstanding. We were given a gift of breakfast muffins as we left. We have visited New York on several occasions and Craft has been or best dinning experience."

  • "This is the second time we have dined at Craft and once again it was a wonderful experience. We brought our daughter/step-daughter with us this time and she was blown away by just how good it was. The food was perfect. The wine was exceptional. The service was outstanding. We were celebrating an Anniversary and all the staff went out of their way to make it special for us. We will come back to this restaurant again and highly recommend it to anyone wanting a first class food experience in NYC."

  • "The food was excellent. This fact was overshadowed however by the awful service. The wait staff was disinterested at best, surly at worst. They made us feel like they were doing us a favor by serving us. I am aware that Craft is one of the hot players in town, but this no excuse for the kind of service issues they have. Case in point - I ordered the peach tarte tatin. I requested vanilla ice cream instead of the mint on the menu. Our server agreed with me that mint definitely did not go with peach. We had a discussion about this, and then the tarte came out with mint ice cream. She could have cared less about my request, which was not a big one. I hope they can solve their service issues, because the food is definitely wonderful."

  • "This is one of our fav restaurants for food and service. This past time was an off night. Waiter could not be found. Annoyed at asking questions on menu...Kurt short answers. Very slow....40 min between appetizer and main course. Main course plates rapidly placed and gone. All food ICE cold.....truffle risotto top was cold and congealed on top. Could not flag down anyone to complain. Never asked if everything was ok! Ate the food....cold....did not have dessert. Just wanted to leave! You should know this never happened before! We will return. If it happens again I will get up and go up front to the manager!!!!"

  • "my husband and brother both had big birthday celebrations and we were in NYC for the weekend, so went to Craft our first night. We had been before about 12 years earlier and it was nice to see it has held up very nicely. The service was very efficient and professional, but warm. Short ribs were as good as i remembered them. Great wine as well. They remembered the birthday boys and brought a lovely dessert out for the table. They also still have the yummy muffins as a take away gift for the next morning. All in all, still a solid restaurant for a nice dinner."

  • "Outstanding food. we were group of six for dinner, guests from Switzerland and France who are sophisticated re great restaurants. They wanted a quintessential NY food experience. and were effusive re food, wine, service and decor. Service is warm and gracious and unobtrusive. Even a simple arugula salad was absolutely delicious. The sommelier, Gregory, the hit of the evening: our guests wanted his suggestions and instructed him "don't break the bank". he nimbly matched wines to all the different dishes we were having. Acoustics excellent--a busy Friday night and even when full, easy to hear each other and communicate. Willd definitely go back."

  • "The first time I ate at Craft, it was a magical, seamless experience. This time, anything but. The sommelier was brusque and charmless; our waiter was good at smiling, but bad at getting us anything we needed; and the stampede of waiters back and forth behind our table (we sat near the kitchen) kept shaking my chair. Amuse bouche landed on our table 35 minutes after seating, first course nearly 45 minutes in. To be fair, the manager apologized for the slowness of the first courses, took the appetizers off our check, and promised the rest of the evening would be better. It wasn't. When your entree arrives 70 minutes into the evening and it takes 20 minutes to get coffee after the meal, not much is going to save the experience."

  • "I have never had a bad meal or experience at Craft. The service is always perfect, the atmosphere is perfect, the food is perfect. My favorite place to bring guests from out of town - the finest of NY dining."

  • "Found craft a few weeks ago and went twice in last 2 weeks. Everything we ordered was prepared amazingly. The Amish chicken was so good I ordered one for the table and other to go. Every at our tabke said It's The Best Meal They Had In New In years."

  • "From the moment you walk in the door you know this will be a special time. The Food - OMG - Sublime... the kind that will stay in your memory it is in my top 5... the sharing of dishes added to the feeling of connection. From the Beet Salad to the Steak with Morel's and Braised Peas, sounds simple but they took these simple dishes to a whole new level... The staff were incredibly attentive and yet gentle, well spoken and of the highest standard. What shone through with the staff was their lack of pretentiousness, they were there to genuinely make sure you had a memorable night Tables had room around them so you were not sitting in your neighbours lap as their new best friend. This is the best dining experience I can remember having..."

  • "Came here on a Sunday night with some family. Ordered the 30 day aged sirloin, with gnocchi and oyster mushrooms. Everything was delicious, the gnocchi was fantastic as was the sirloin, highly recommend. The mushrooms were salted a little unevenly but good overall. Service was polite and friendly, but pretty slow. We had to wave a server down for everything that we wanted to add after the initial order, like drinks, etc. I don't remember being offered the dessert menu either."

  • "We enjoyed our anniversary at Craft. They welcomed us with a complimentary glass of Craft Champaign and a keepsake menu. The food was perfection as was the service. My husband can't stop thinking of the roasted onions and I dream of the foie gras which had to be the best I have ever had. I wanted to try everything so I guess we will have to go again tonight."

  • "A lovely restaurant that got off to a not so good start by delivering my starter to the next table. When it finally arrived, after a diversion back to the kitchen, the beef carpacchio was wonderful. The main course of monkfish was perfectly presentable but I found nothing special about it. The banana tartin was gorgeous, especially the peanut butter ice-cream! Would definitely go again, to try out more dishes. Let down a little on the service both for me and what I witnessed with the confusion and missing components of my table neighbours."
