  • "Lovely, warm and inviting décor which screams "chill" enjoy yourself as you walk in. Located on a street where lots of on-street parking is available. Menu makes it hard to make a selection, fantastic choices. Wine list is very complete but prices are on the high side even for the diamonds in the rough regions. All in all a very good meal. Kudos to our server Emilie who notices our Pork Porterhouse was still not cooked to our requested temperature after a second time and offered to take item off the bill. Classy!!!"

  • "My husband and I had a delicious dinner at Craft. I had noted in my reservation that we are fans of Tom Colicchio from Top Chef and wer excited to dine at Craft. I wasn't sure if this would just induce eye-rolling (and it may have) but to us the staff was so pleasant and enthusiastic, asking if it met our expectations, telling us about why they came to work at Craft, etc. The food was delicious. Nothing trendy, just comfort and classic food prepared perfectly. We enjoyed every bite. Our server was great. Attentive and knowledgeable."

  • "Tremendous food and a notable list of wines by the glass are features of Craft. As important is the communal experience. Salads and sides are served for the table, and entrees are individual. The tables are large, and easily accommodate the serving plates, and the noise level is happy without being boisterous, which lends itself to conversation. I hadn't seen by guests in over two years, and we had a wonderful catching up while sharing a meal together. Especially notable were the braised halibut and the short ribs, with a tremendous beet salad."

  • "Decently large portions so very do-able to share if you're not exceedingly hungry. We started with a sugar snap pea amuse-bouche and an orchiette lamb ragu (we highly recommend). For the entree, we shared the pork porterhouse, which is a signature of the restaurant, pole beans and truffle risotto. Pork porterhouse is huge - its a fantastic entree for two! We finished with cacao nib sorbet, toasted almond ice cream, and apricot sorbet. The cacao nib sorbet is fantastic - it has a very intense chocolate flavor but in an ice-texture."

  • "I can't say enough good things about Craft. My boyfriend and I came here for our two year anniversary this past Saturday night. When comfirming the reservation, the staff asked if we were celebrating a special occasion. I told them that my boyfriend and I were celebrating our 2 year anniversary. Upon arriving, the hostesses, our waitress and other staff all wished us a happy anniversary. We were brought a complimentary glass of champaigne to celebrate the occasion. Throughout the night, the staff celebrated our anniversary in kind and thoughtful ways. The floor management is clearly top notch (as it should be given the prices!) In addition to this, the food was amazing - i'll let the other reviews will speak to this."

We had several dietary restrictions at the table and the preparation of every dish was explained to us. The atmosphere is lively but the noise level was comfortable.   • "Besides the superior quality of the food, service, and ambience, this is the ideal place to celebrate a birthday. The menu arrives printed with a personalized birthday greeting, and the meal is topped off with a plate drizzled with ganache birthday greetings. The service is impeccable, but not pretentious. I particularly recommend a sampling of the side dishes, which vary because they are seasonal. The spring onions were heavenly. My only wish is that they include more vegetarian dishes. My son just had one option, and that was the only disappointment. Otherwise, I highly recommend Craft. I have dined there before and can't wait to return to this wonderful restaurant."

  • "The food quality, presentation, and timing were all excellent. Portions were large so no one walked away feeling unsatisfied. Flavors came together very well, Arugula salad with lemon dressing was amazing. The service was excellent, our waitress was there when we needed her with great advice. The only downside (and nit enough to diminish the overall experience) was the profiteroles, not of the quality of the rest of the meal."

  • "We have been here four times now and every time the menu is different reflecting seasonal veggies and menu items. Literally everything is good. We always get the braised short rips, risotto, carpaccio, and some veggies. Always leave sooo full and satisfied. The staff is always amazing. This place is one of my favorite places in the flatiron district, and possibly in NYC!!! Do yourself a favor and plan a romantic dinner or special occasion dinner here. Your friends will be impressed. Also their wine selection is amazing. Nothing but good things to say about craft and my experiences here."

The choices on the menu were great, but the execution came off bland and unexciting. Perhaps it was more in the choices we made, but I didn't have a single dish that made me say WOW, which at this level of dining I expect. Good, but disappointingly, not great."

  • "The food was excellent. This fact was overshadowed however by the awful service. The wait staff was disinterested at best, surly at worst. They made us feel like they were doing us a favor by serving us. I am aware that Craft is one of the hot players in town, but this no excuse for the kind of service issues they have. Case in point - I ordered the peach tarte tatin. I requested vanilla ice cream instead of the mint on the menu. Our server agreed with me that mint definitely did not go with peach. We had a discussion about this, and then the tarte came out with mint ice cream. She could have cared less about my request, which was not a big one. I hope they can solve their service issues, because the food is definitely wonderful."

  • "This is one of our fav restaurants for food and service. This past time was an off night. Waiter could not be found. Annoyed at asking questions on menu...Kurt short answers. Very slow....40 min between appetizer and main course. Main course plates rapidly placed and gone. All food ICE cold.....truffle risotto top was cold and congealed on top. Could not flag down anyone to complain. Never asked if everything was ok! Ate the food....cold....did not have dessert. Just wanted to leave! You should know this never happened before! We will return. If it happens again I will get up and go up front to the manager!!!!"

  • "We booked a reservation for our 20th anniversary and were treated to an unforgettable evening. Loved that the menu is presented in a small plates format with credit to local foods producers. The sommelier was very helpful and introduced us to an Italian wine we might otherwise have overlooked. All the dishes were delicious, and they kindly accommodated my request for a sample of dark chocolate for dessert. Highly recommend!!!"

  • "The food in general was good but not all of it. I went to Craft NYC to celebrate my birthday with my friends but it was not as I was expecting. Some dishes were excellent as the Octopus, the Foie Gras, the American Wagyu Culotte and the Mushrooms Head of the Woods; but others were just fine as the Beef Short Rib or the Monkfish that was bad. They didn't have all the dishes on the menu which is a big disappointment. The service was good but not extraordinary as this kind of restaurants should have."

  • "my husband and brother both had big birthday celebrations and we were in NYC for the weekend, so went to Craft our first night. We had been before about 12 years earlier and it was nice to see it has held up very nicely. The service was very efficient and professional, but warm. Short ribs were as good as i remembered them. Great wine as well. They remembered the birthday boys and brought a lovely dessert out for the table. They also still have the yummy muffins as a take away gift for the next morning. All in all, still a solid restaurant for a nice dinner."

  • "The first time I ate at Craft, it was a magical, seamless experience. This time, anything but. The sommelier was brusque and charmless; our waiter was good at smiling, but bad at getting us anything we needed; and the stampede of waiters back and forth behind our table (we sat near the kitchen) kept shaking my chair. Amuse bouche landed on our table 35 minutes after seating, first course nearly 45 minutes in. To be fair, the manager apologized for the slowness of the first courses, took the appetizers off our check, and promised the rest of the evening would be better. It wasn't. When your entree arrives 70 minutes into the evening and it takes 20 minutes to get coffee after the meal, not much is going to save the experience."
