A word from Craft Los Angeles
Tom Colicchio's Craft in New York City received the James Beard Award for Best New Restaurant nationwide in 2002 & five years later brought Craft across the country to join the other "top chefs" in Los Angeles. His new American dishes marry the finest ingredients, haute cuisine and family-style service. Under the execution of Chef de Cuisine Raymond England, Craft features produce from local organic farms, all-natural meats & day-boat seafood. With the award-winning architectural design of Bentel and Bentel & under the glow of filament bulbs, diners share dishes that celebrate 'single' ingredients, expertly & simply prepared.

Awarded Three and a Half Stars by S. Irene Virbila of the Los Angeles Times, she states:

“The menu offers a master class in contemporary American cuisine. You won’t find recipes with 17 ingredients or unnecessary frills. Each dish relies on simplicity & elegance, superb ingredients & expert execution to make its point."

Diner Reviews
  • "Shared appetizer and desert, water to drink and over $200 for lunch for 2!"

  • "Food was super good and service was exemplary, I cant wait to go back for dinner."

  • "Dinner was very special and everything was great except the short ribs which were burnt. I think that was probably an anomaly because everything else was exceptional"

  • "I and my family very much enjoyed our dining experience at Craft. The food was absolutely delicious, albeit not particularly innovative."

  • "We went to Craft to celebrate our anniversary which I mentioned when making my reservation. I was a little surprised when I received a phone message requesting my wife's first name. When we were seated and given our dinner menus I discovered the reason, our menus were specially printed with a notation celebrating our anniversary. That marked the beginning of a wonderful evening. The food at Craft is fabulous. For openers we had a wonderful avocado and peanut salad as well as pork belly that melted in your mouth We had their signature Diver scallops and sublime lamb (and generously portioned) as entrees. Side dishes of mushroom and perfect Gnocchi. Their wine list is excellent and by the glass wine first rate. We shall return"

  • "The food and the desert are Always consistent and enjoyable. I always leave happy whenever I come. Ask for cinnamon bread pudding and roasted octopus when you come."
    Dined on 8/18/2014
  • "The octopus was out of this world. Also very much enjoyed the squid and chorizo salad. The scallops were delightful. I will definitely be returning for the complimentary marshmallow that comes with the cookies at the end. AMAZING DINNER!!!!"

  • "Everything about this location is great. The service was attentive enough where it was not overwhelming. The food was great in taste and not too heavy. Definitely will return again."

  • "I'd not eaten at Craft for a few years now, and this was my first - probably only - time at lunch. I had the prix fixe and my friend ordered their chicken salad. Hers was bland and soggy. My gazpacho was pretty good as a starter. The sole as a second course was bland and unimaginative. The strawberry ice cream for dessert was probably the best part of the meal. Even though we were sitting across from each other, I still had a hard time hearing my friend when she was speaking to me. Seemed like the chef (?) texted this one in - even a phone call might have been better. I am not planning on going back, because it was a huge waste of money."
    Dined on 8/15/2014
  • "Service sevice service - like an excellent restaurant should. Everyone seemed to genuinely love their job and was made the experience delightful. The food was perfect - sublime, earthy, delicious, modern, and restrained. Do not miss out and order the pork entree - it was the best best best pork I have ever tasted. Enjoy!"

  • "The food at this place was amazing. Everything cooked to perfection and the waiters very attentive. The food is innovative without being pretentious however two of our party were very ill in the night after eating here. We both ate the salmon , the other two were ok."
    Dined on 8/11/2014
  • "The staff was gracious and efficient and offered suggestions for dining throughout. The wine selections were excellent as was the expertise of the staff in their recommendations. Food was presented beautifully and was wonderful. We were very happy with our visit to Craft."

  • "I had the best time at Craft! We took my friend for her birthday, and I am so glad that we did. The service was excellent! She was greeted several times. They also put her name on the menu. Aside from the free dessert you get from other restaurants, we also got a soup, an amazing plum sorbet, a fancy smore type treat, and a cornbread that was wrapped to go! All of our food was delicious, but my favorite was the gnocchi! It was the best I've ever had!!! I would recommend this restaurant for a special occassion or to someone who just wants some amazing food. I will be back!"

  • "You can always count on great food and great service at a Tom Colicchio restaurant. No different here. Great meal, and great service."
    Dined on 8/2/2014
  • "A wonderful, impeccable dining experience that delivers on every level: fantastic food; warm, attentive staff; and elegant, inviting ambiance. Any meal here is sure to be memorable; mine has been every time without fail. I wish I resided in Los Angeles so I could go more often!"

  • "Our experience at Craft was one that still has us talking. It seems as though the rating scales for service, food, and ambiance should allow for more stars than 5 after dining at Craft. The staff is incredibly trained, friendly, and excellent at what they do. It must be a pleasure to staff a restaurant where the food is well-prepared, thoughtful, and delicious - I assume they have few complaints. The experience made a birthday celebration more special!"

  • "We came as a group of 6, everything was served family style so it was great for sharing and trying different things. I felt that the main entrees came out a little cold. We ordered the washugyu? Flat iron medium rare but it was rare. Cooked nicely, but our whole table agreed it was rare. As for it being cold, I understand meats need to rest after cooking, but maybe a little warmer would have made a big difference. The duck entree was probably my favorite, cooked perfectly medium with a crispy skin, and still warm. Mujufigi pork was cooked nicely but a little cold in the center and lacked seasoning. Overall nice place for a special occasion, lovely ambiance and top-notch service."

  • "The service was attentive and professional. The outdoor seating area was very appealing. Although it is billed as a small plate restaurant, the portions were very generous (we over-ordered)."

  • "Good restaurant, food is well prepared, but you'll leave thinking it's a bit pricey for what you get."
    Dined on 7/28/2014
  • "Great space and impeccable service. Food was phenomenal. They went out of their way to accommodate. We wished to do a wine pairing and got special treatment and got to taste of amazing wines/beer."
    Dined on 7/26/2014
  • "The restaurant is a lovely place to have a meal. The service is amazing. They are very good at taking care of their tables without being fussy. We had the DineLA menu; the heirloom tomato salad was delicious, the little gem salad was fantastic. We had the Salmon and the Pork. Both were delicious. The sauce and grits with the pork were particularly good. The dessert, cinnamon sugar doughnuts and a creme fraiche panna cotta with strawberries were absolutely fantastic, even to my friend who never eats sweets. My favorite touch we the little fun things they brought out. There was a gazpacho amuse bouche, wonderful peas and carrots with our mains, caramel popcorn and a bag of homemade granola to take for breakfast. Just perfect."

  • "What sets Craft apart from most LA restaurants is 1) the lighting is perfect and 2) the service makes you feel like royalty. The food is creative and delicious. And the outdoor patio is wonderful for cocktails."
    Dined on 7/26/2014
  • "This was my first time to Craft. The service was outstanding and I really liked the setting and the look of the restaurant. We took advantage of the Dine LA at $45. The small taste of gazpacho at the beginning was wonderful. I would give it 5 stars, however, I wasn't crazy about the cauliflower hummus. The bread was amazing and I really liked the way they had multiple appetizers and 2 desserts for the two of us that we could share. I will definitely go back, although it is pricey, but surely worth it."

  • "The service was fantastic from all the staff and the food was delicious."

  • "I was very surprised at how wonderful my experience was when I dined here, from the level of service to the impeccable quality of the food."
    Dined on 7/25/2014
  • "We were totally impressed with this restaurant; the food was spectacular, and the service was impeccable. It's a beautiful restaurant, too. We would definitely come back again. It is pricey, but the DineLA menu was more varied than most."
    Dined on 7/25/2014
  • "From the beginning I felt welcomed and not just another patron. I was walked directly to a great section on the restaurant and prompty attended too. The Place was not too packed and ambience was warming. Tables were a little close but comfortable. Food was very good. Came for the DineLA deal and left satisfied. Would definitely try this place again!"

  • "Lunched at this classy eatery with friends during Dine L.A. week. We were surprised at the limited menu. Seems the quail was taken off the advertised menu that day and left little to choose from. The avocado and peanut appetizer was merely a bowl of lettuce. Strange! Plus, unlike other Dine L.A. restaurants on the list, the dessert was extra at Craft. Not much of a bargain. The food was tasty though. Guess I would try the place again. Great location; and parking was a deal."
    Dined on 7/25/2014
  • "Just excellent! Food was outrageously good! My number 1 pick for restaurant week 2014."
    Dined on 7/23/2014
  • "I first had craft for last years dineLA week. I really enjoyed and decide to go back for a second time for dineLA this week. However, the food was not as good this time. I ordered the beef short rib and the pasta was undercooked. We had it send back, but it didn't taste the same. The appetizers were "ok" and not as good as I expected. The cheesecake dessert texture was grainy and a little blend. Overall, it was a bit disappointing."
    Dined on 7/23/2014
  • "Great food. Everything we ate was delicious. I ordered the chorizo and raisin salad. Was skeptical at first. I ended up cleaning my plate. The mushrooms and shisito peppers were a great compliment."
    Dined on 7/23/2014
  • "So many delicate flavors composed together reflecting thoughtful preparation and presentation."
    Dined on 7/23/2014
  • "This was one of the top restaurant experiences I've had and I was solo! I went for a weekday lunch during Dine LA Restaurant Week. The flavor profiles were unique and delicious. The staff were so nice and attentive. I never felt "abandoned" as I have in so many restaurants whether alone or with others. I left feeling satisfied and pleased with the choice I made, again, not a common feeling when trying a restaurant. I can't wait to bring my husband in the near future!"
    Dined on 7/22/2014
  • "I have been here a few times and after having lunch there this week I am plotting how I can get back for a meal soon! Never disappoints."
    Dined on 7/22/2014
  • "the service is outstanding...friendly and attentive. Food is terrific and I will return"
    Dined on 7/21/2014
  • "We ate at Craft for DineLA and it was spectacular. Not only was the food incredible (literally the best salmon I have ever eaten), but with DineLA they bring you multiple appetizers and desserts, plus there is a large selection of entrees. Other DineLA restaurant menus have been very limited, but not this one. We truly had a wonderful evening. One itsy-bitsy quibble -- it was my birthday, and I was hoping for a candle in my delicious cinamon-sugar donut. ;-) Oh well -- maybe they don't do that there. Still a five-star meal in my opinion."

  • "My total experience was outstanding - from an enthusiastic welcoming greeting to receiving a warm thank you farewell. The food was wonderful. We dined there during Dine L.A. Week. The selections were delicious and each one paired well with those that followed. My friend was celebrating her birthday. She received a menu with a written personalized birthday greeting and a tasty piece of chocolate cake which was large enough for us all to share. I will return. Thanks Craft for a wonderful evening!"
