A word from Craft Los Angeles
Tom Colicchio's Craft in New York City received the James Beard Award for Best New Restaurant nationwide in 2002 & five years later brought Craft across the country to join the other "top chefs" in Los Angeles. His new American dishes marry the finest ingredients, haute cuisine and family-style service. Under the execution of Chef de Cuisine Raymond England, Craft features produce from local organic farms, all-natural meats & day-boat seafood. With the award-winning architectural design of Bentel and Bentel & under the glow of filament bulbs, diners share dishes that celebrate 'single' ingredients, expertly & simply prepared.

Awarded Three and a Half Stars by S. Irene Virbila of the Los Angeles Times, she states:

“The menu offers a master class in contemporary American cuisine. You won’t find recipes with 17 ingredients or unnecessary frills. Each dish relies on simplicity & elegance, superb ingredients & expert execution to make its point."

Diner Reviews
  • "Just excellent! Food was outrageously good! My number 1 pick for restaurant week 2014."

  • "This was one of the top restaurant experiences I've had and I was solo! I went for a weekday lunch during Dine LA Restaurant Week. The flavor profiles were unique and delicious. The staff were so nice and attentive. I never felt "abandoned" as I have in so many restaurants whether alone or with others. I left feeling satisfied and pleased with the choice I made, again, not a common feeling when trying a restaurant. I can't wait to bring my husband in the near future!"

  • "the service is outstanding...friendly and attentive. Food is terrific and I will return"

  • "We ate at Craft for DineLA and it was spectacular. Not only was the food incredible (literally the best salmon I have ever eaten), but with DineLA they bring you multiple appetizers and desserts, plus there is a large selection of entrees. Other DineLA restaurant menus have been very limited, but not this one. We truly had a wonderful evening. One itsy-bitsy quibble -- it was my birthday, and I was hoping for a candle in my delicious cinamon-sugar donut. ;-) Oh well -- maybe they don't do that there. Still a five-star meal in my opinion."

  • "My total experience was outstanding - from an enthusiastic welcoming greeting to receiving a warm thank you farewell. The food was wonderful. We dined there during Dine L.A. Week. The selections were delicious and each one paired well with those that followed. My friend was celebrating her birthday. She received a menu with a written personalized birthday greeting and a tasty piece of chocolate cake which was large enough for us all to share. I will return. Thanks Craft for a wonderful evening!"

  • "This was a Dine LA restaurant. The prix fixe lunch was a disappointment, as I'm sure is the case when restaurants participate in the event. We had a salad and John Dory fish as entrée. The fish was dry and overly salty. The salad was mostly lettuce. Dessert wasn't even included. That was six dollars extra per person."

  • "We had dinner at Craft during dine la week, and had a wonderful experience. The wait staff was friendly, attentive, and very knowledgeable regarding the menu options. Because we were celebrating a birthday, the chef sent over several complimentary sides. Craft is a perfect choice for a special occasion dinner."

  • "My experience on Saturday night was perfect. Parking was $1 in the structure that night. The ambiance of the restaurant is a chic, and up scale, but you do not feel out of place in jeans and heels. The music selection was amazing and in the background at the right level. The food was from the Dine LA menu. The best setup I have seen with three appetizers for the table, the main course, and two desserts for the table. We were able to try a little of everything. The gem salad, heirloom tomato, and cauliflower hummus were perfect. We added the grilled octopus for 4 apps. The main course was the pork with broccoli and grits. The pork was cooked perfectly and could be sliced with a butter knife. The short rib pasta dish was divine. Dessert done"

  • "Every dish we tried here was cooked to perfection and beautifully presented. The cocktails were inventive and outstanding. I never count on celebrity chef driven restaurants turning out exceptional food, but Craft really delivers."

  • "Everything at Craft was superb from the service (helpful, efficient, friendly) to the food to the atmosphere. We had a lovely time and loved the attention paid to every detail of the meal."

  • "Tasty and comforting. Refined without pretention."

  • "Classy and scrumptious all the way through. Every plate was beautifully plated and delicious. The service was excellent! Our waiter was so friendly and checked in with us just enough where it wasn't pestering but it wasn't rare."

  • "We arrived earlier than the rest of our party and the restaurant was so accommodating! We tried to sit outside and wait, but got too cold, so came inside and was immediately in good hands with the super attentive staff - truly had an enjoyable experience all around!"

  • "Good is not that great at all but super pricy. Boring dishes."

  • "Looking for a special place for a wonderful evening? CRAFT is our number one choice! The food, service and atmosphere are impeccable."

  • "Everything about this restaurant is top notch. The service is beyond courteous and professional. The food is amazing. Interesting takes on traditional food options as well as offerings not seen elsewhere. I've dined here three times in the past year, and have never been disappointed. Highly recommended."

  • "Flawless, friendly service. Delicious meal; the proteins were especially good as was the avocado salad and pea risotto."
    Dined on 7/12/2014
  • "The only down side was the price; the price for branded alcohol was much more expensive than in other comparable restaurants. The food was delicious but then again priced in the upper range compared to similar places."
    Dined on 7/12/2014
  • "This is my favorite place to dine when in LA...the food is always spot-on perfect. The wine selection is interesting and great. And the service is professional, friendly, and committed to ensuring a good evening. I always look forward to returning."

  • "Fantastic service all around, great food as well. A party of 8 that totally enjoyed the evening."

  • "Bright and pleasant restaurant. Loved the "family style" manner of serving. Both entrees (duck and halibut) were delicious, as were the very simple but tasty arugula salad and side dish."

  • "My husband and I had our two year anniversary dinner at Craft. They gave us a great booth in a semi-secluded spot, and had the menu's embossed with a Happy Anniversary message to us. The Diver Scallops melted in my mouth...so good!! My husband had the King salmon and loved it. For dessert we had the donuts and cookies...superb! Can't wait to go back. Craft wait staff were so attentive and all the details were perfect."

  • "Lovely restaurant. Great food. Incredibly lovely service. Amuse bouche. Extra little dessert + they give you granola to take home."

  • "We had another great evening at Craft. This restaurant is committed to perfection and deliver on that promise."

  • "Being a non-meat eater, it is clear that I may have missed out on the main attraction of Craft - short ribs for the table seemed to be all the rage. I had a salmon salad which, sadly, was pedestrian (my friend had the sole which he said was good but not spectacular). That said, the service was excellent, the ambiance was also very good. I can rave about the desserts. I went with the doughnuts, coffee ice cream, and chocolate. It was truly excellent. The prix fixe is a relatively good deal, with appetizer, entree and dessert."

  • "We chose Craft for a special milestone birthday dinner and it was excellent in every way. The cocktail I enjoyed at the bar was balanced and they were able to transfer our bar tab to our table without an issue - a big service plus. The pea risotto, the lamb and the duck were all quite memorable. I found the dishes to be well executed and flavorful without unnecessary flourishes (no foams or spheres here - just real food). The quality of the ingredients showed through. The peas in the risotto were sweet but not overly so and the risotto itself was just the right consistency (not a fan of mushy pasta). I was glad to see both lamb and duck on the menu and they did not disappoint. All in all, my best meal of the year. Highly recommend."

  • "Appetizers...side dishes, ambience, service, wine selection and presentation were excellent. Entrees were "good" but not outstanding. Halibut was good but dry...scallops were good but not memorable...short-ribs had good texture but flavor was compromised by tasting overly "fat." Not the "Craft" experience that I have enjoyed previously."

  • "Been waiting to go and went for a special occasion my husband and I can't stop talking about the hush puppies all the food was outstanding the service top knotch"

  • "Great service and a beautiful space. One of out entrees was outstanding while the other one, a fish, was dry and over-cooked."

  • "I went there with my mom when I drove up to LA from Coronado, since we had only two nights I went ahead and made reservations before hand for both days. I have to say that our late- night dinner at Craft was incredible. Everything was absolutely delicious, our waiter was outstanding and the interior decor is very nice, I study architecture so know a bit about that haha. I recommend it for special occasions though because it is a bit pricey, but absolutely worth every penny."

  • "I didn't find the petrale sole or the mushrooms side dish to be anything extraordinary. Everything tasted delicious, but SF has far better restaurants at a fraction of the price, that incorporate unique farm-to-table ingredients in more creative ways. I suppose every diner has to benchmark against their experience, but I just found this place to be somewhat underwhelming."

  • "My wife and I returned to Craft for dinner after not going for about 6 months. I won't stay away that long any more. This restaurant continues to be one of the best in L A. Outstanding service, great food what more could anyone want? I love it!"

  • "We had gone to this restaurant as a place close to where we were staying in Century City, through an internet search. What a find, you are welcomed when you arrive and from then on, you are looked after superbly. It is real gourmet dining with the staff very helpful and knowledgable about the menu and wines. We shared a starter, before our mains which left us space to share a dessert too. We asked about a local wine to go with our food and were recommended an excellent wine that was reasonable priced. We had a wonderful evening."

  • "We've been to Craft restaurants in other cities, but this was our first time in Century City. Since we were staying in a hotel a short walk away, it was very convenient, and certainly the best restaurant in the area. Service was perfect, and the food was excellent. We dined with a friend and took our time; no one rushed us, which was great for a Saturday night. Nice seating outside for those who wanted it. Very modern inside. We'll definitely be back when we're visiting the area again."

  • "Craft is so refreshing and amazing! The tables are spaced perfectly so you're away from noise and feel like you're the only ones there. The food is balanced and well-executed and made with organic and local ingredients. Definitely leave room for dessert. On top of all that, the service is delightful. I want to go back already."

  • "Craft was a last minute addition to our 25th anniversary trip and I cannot say enough about how special they treated us. Food was incredible and I would strongly recommend to others.... cocktails were also very creative and tasty...."

  • "Went here for our anniversary since it was Tom Colicchio's restaurant and have never been to any of his properties. There were surprising touches like our names being printed on our menus. The service was outstanding and probably the best we've had in LA, but the food just isn't up to snuff for the price. We did the tasting menu with the wine pairing and aside from the Halibut dish which was stellar everything else was just so-so. The steak course was super chewy, and the bone marrow pasta was by far the most disappointing dish. The wine pairings were spot on, so kudos to the sommelier. I wasn't expecting Melisse, but for the money we spent I expected to have a well crafted amazing meal. "

  • "We expected the food to be amazing and it was. We expected the service to be great & it exceeded our expectations; it was impeccable & surprisingly gracious, especially considering we arrived 20 minutes late on a Friday night. "

  • "I have eaten at 2 other Craft restaurants (Las Vegas and NY) and had big expectations for this visit. I was surprisingly let down. Avocado salad was fantastic, potato puree was on par with other locations and mushrooms were very good, but we ordered the ribeye and it just wasn't very good. It's hard to detail exactly why but meat seemed a little tough and for a ribeye there was little to no marble. Service was great. I guess I just consider Craft a steakhouse and expected more from the actual steak."
