Crabtree's Kittle HouseWonderful dining experienceWe always love dining at the Kittle house. The food is delicious and the service is first rate!6/8/2013 12:00:00 AMBirthdayWe had a wonderful meal celebrating my birthday. My wine list was amazing, and the Sommelier did an excellent interpreting our taste and suggesting a wine. It had been awhile since we had been to the Kittle House, but we will be back very soon.5/31/2013 12:00:00 AMThoroughly Enjoyed! We chose Kittle House to celebrate our Wedding Anniversary. We've been here many times before, which made it an easy decision to return. The food is absolutely incredible. The service is outstanding from the minute you walk in the door throughout the entire dining experience. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking to celebrate a special occasion, or to simply enjoy a memorable night out.5/27/2013 12:00:00 AMChappaqua GemWe enjoyed the hospitality and gastronomic delights at Crabtree's Kittle House. The food, wine, and service were excellent. We would highly recommend this fabulous experience to others.5/24/2013 12:00:00 AMOutstanding! My husband and I went here recently for our wedding anniversary. We were given a really nice table with a fabulous view! The food was outstanding. Although both of us are vegetarians we were pleasantly surprised with the various options we had! The staff went out of their way to make it a memorable experience for us. It was fantastic, we highly recommend this place!5/23/2013 12:00:00 AMMother's dayWent for Mother's day brunch, which was great. A bit pricey at $55, but a ton of food options and unlimited mimosas more than made up for it. Everything was a bit hectic and loud, which is probably the norm at a buffet style brunch, but it did not detract from my experience. Lovely setting. Would like to return for a dinner, which I imagine would be more low-key.5/12/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat Place! My wife and I dined at the Kittle House for the first time on Mother's Day. We could not have been more pleased. The food was excellent, and the prix fixe menu was full of options that I wanted to try. The restaurant strikes the perfect ambiance between being informal enough to be comfortable and formal enough to be romantic and special. The service was excellent from start to finish. We look forward to many future meals here with our family and friends.5/12/2013 12:00:00 AMThumbs up.Great oysters. Bar made excellent martini. Food quality high throughout the meal and service was prompt and efficient. Would recommend it to anyone.4/29/2013 12:00:00 AMTerrific Sunday BrunchSunday brunch done the way it should be. The buffet offerings were varied, fresh and flavorful, as well as attractively presented. Service was professional and also personal; the staff were smiling and attentive. Wonderful creme brulee and pecan pie for dessert provided a great ending, just as well-made Bloody Marys were a happy way to start. All in all, a delightful experience which we plan to repeat soon.4/28/2013 12:00:00 AMWe had outstanding serviceWe had outstanding service from the waitress "Mimi L"4/20/2013 12:00:00 AMLovely, elegant ambiance andLovely, elegant ambiance and delicious food. Service was excellent.4/20/2013 12:00:00 AMIt is one of our favoriteIt is one of our favorite brunch places. However, on this recent occassion we found the staff not very attentive. The food is always terrific. Also, in the past the valet service was available. This time it was't present whe we arrived for our 12:30PM reservation, but was there when we departed around 2:45PM. It could have been they were there for a special party that we noticed was being set-up on the lawn. All-in-all we would go back again.4/14/2013 12:00:00 AM6 adults had a fantastic meal.6 adults had a fantastic meal. We sat in the bar area called The Tap Room, which was busy but not too loud. The atmosphere is more casual than in the main dining room, but the food and service remain top notch.
Standouts included chopped salad, soup, branzino, hamburger, brussel sprouts and all the desserts. Delicious options for vegetarians - the Quinoa Veggie Burger was a favorite.
Friendly and gracious service and the management/owner were available all evening. We are semi-regulars and are always welcomed with warmth and smiles. Never disappointing. We have brought our kids for brunch/dinner a few times and they are very accommodating.4/13/2013 12:00:00 AMRural PleasureWe loved our first visit to this classy New Englandy and comfortable old Westchester inn, which has a rural feel. The frog's legs, rainbow trout, wine, and Kittle House dark beer were delicious, and the service could not have been better. We will return.4/13/2013 12:00:00 AMBar dining area is preferredBar dining area is preferred due to more interesting ambiance4/3/2013 12:00:00 AMThe Kittle House will impress you.The building and grounds are a picture straight out of local history books.
From your entry and warm reception in the foyer to your departure and walk-about of the grounds, IMPRESSIVE isn't enough to describe the Kittle House experience.
The menu and wine lists are extensive; the waitstaff and sommelier will gladly discuss any item on or off the menu. Preparation and presentation of your selections are truly artistic.
Tables are located such that you need not hear a nearby conversation.
But go for the service. Impeccable without being overdone. Attentive but never 'too close'.
Overall, an outstanding experience.4/1/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat meal, the trout wasGreat meal, the trout was exceptionally good. Service wonderful. It is a bit expensive, but worth it!!3/30/2013 12:00:00 AMA GREAT RESTAURANT WEEK FIND!What a wonderful find in the midst of WEstchester County! The location and restaurant itself are charming plus the ambiance was lovely, with tables not too close together, all overlooking the wall of windows facing the beautiful countryside. We were there for Hudson Valley Restaurant Week and had some excellent selections to pick from. We all enjoyed the salad and potato confit appetisers, the cod and lamb entrees, and the desserts were to die for. What was also impressive to my friends was the wine list, as they are connoisseurs and collectors of excellent wine. It was a special dinner for us, and we will be returning next year for sure.3/24/2013 12:00:00 AMAs always, the food was OUTSTANDINGAs always, the food was OUTSTANDING!!!!! We're never disappointed there.3/24/2013 12:00:00 AMMy husband and I went forMy husband and I went for the EXCELLENT Sunday Brunch. Nice mix and just the right amount of choices. The waffles with warm berry sauce and NYS local syrup was so delicious. Service is very attentive. Plates were removed and napkins folded when you leave table. Perfect place for a larger group. The grounds would seem pretty in late spring and sumer. The main room is airy and the large windows provide a nice view of the grounds. We went at 11:30. No brunch line during our visit. However when we left at 1, we noticed the line was long and extended out of the room. If you live in NYC or surrounding area, its worth the drive.3/24/2013 12:00:00 AMHV Restaurant Week DinnerWe took advantage of the HV Rest Week special and landed a reservation for Friday, March 22nd for 7pm. This was my first time to this restaurant. First of all, the valet parking attendant was very friendly and cheerful. That set the tone for the evening. The place was packed at 7pm, which made me a little concerned, but the staff delivered. Everything went just like clockwork. Courses were delivered appropriately. No long delays and not too quickly. Our water & wine glasses were kept full. We also received a couple of extras. The chef prepared warm carrot soup tasting that was delivered before our appetizers and after desert a couple of warm choc. chop cookies and truffles. Nice touch! All in all, a fantastic, special evening.3/22/2013 12:00:00 AMOnly flaw at this luncheonOnly flaw at this luncheon meal during Westchester Restaruant Week: Chicken entree was served at room temperature.Sauce was delicious anyway.3/22/2013 12:00:00 AMAlways beHave been to Kittle House many times and always enjoyed the experience. Plus, their Restaurant Week menu offers a nice variety. Will continue to return again and again.3/22/2013 12:00:00 AMNever disappointed. To start, don't miss the soup: the white bean, roasted garlic with pancetta was extraordinary (as was the amuse-bouche carrot with ginger foam). The lamb bolagnese with minted yogurt was the best we ever had, although the table also enjoyed the vension stew. Perfect ending was Kit Kat dessert and assorted gelato/sorbet. To top it all off, the complimentary dusted truffles bites and warm mini white chocolate coconut cookies ended the meal perfectly.3/22/2013 12:00:00 AMEvery room has it's own charm.Every room has it's own charm. The staff genuinely seemed to care that you were enjoying your food. A great experience.3/20/2013 12:00:00 AMCan't Wait To Go Back!!Went for lunch with my girlfriend. Lunch menu was incredible, with choices for brunch, lunch, or dinner type entrees. Service was very good with attention to details. If I asked a question and the waiter didn't already know the answer, he made sure to find out for me. House white wine was delicious, not cheap tasting like some places. Very relaxed atmosphere. Food was incredible! Can't wait to go back there soon!3/20/2013 12:00:00 AMExcellent luncheon experience.Excellent luncheon experience. Consistently excellent food and service.
Nice setting for an outdoor wedding or event as the gardens are nice as well.
A very nice old mahogany bar that used to belong to Dutch Shultz.

I had a creative cocktail which was both tasty and appropriately potent.3/15/2013 12:00:00 AMEverything about the restaurantEverything about the restaurant was perfect, from being greeted upon entering to the servers at the table. I was disappointed in the entre selections. I was there last restaurant week and was very pleased with the selections.

A wine lover's dream!3/13/2013 12:00:00 AMHave been here several timesHave been here several times and always look forward to returning. It brings you back in time to an old New England charm.3/13/2013 12:00:00 AMWe enjoyed everything butWe enjoyed everything but only after we settled into our seats at the table. The beginning was a bit problematic. When we made the reservation, we requested 6:00 but Opentable only showed 5:30 available. We decided to accept that but when we got to the restaurant they were not able to seat us because the table wasn't ready. Strange, since every table was empty. After some time they started to vacuum, after more time, well nothing happened. Eventually, we were seated around 6:00 which was ok since that's what we wanted, but by now we were a little annoyed. Once we were seated were happy with our waiter and our food so that's why we gave it a good rating but it was not perfect because of the bumpy beginning.3/13/2013 12:00:00 AMA friend and I decided onA friend and I decided on going to Crabtree for Restaurant Week. The salad was quite tasty, the chicken was very good, and the pecan pie was quite good. The valet's were friendly, as was the staff. My boyfriend and I now have plans to go - he was jealous that I brought a friend and not him.3/13/2013 12:00:00 AMThis was our first visit andThis was our first visit and we were very impressed. My husband, adult son and I enjoyed the three course menu. There were plenty of choices and the food was fresh and "forward". Our white bean soup was poured for us at our table. My cod was perfectly cooked without being over seasoned. We were treated to a delicious amuse bouche and truffles upon receiving our check. Eventhough we went on a Tuesday night, the dining room was busy, and the wait between courses was too long. We will return since the foor and attentive service was good.3/12/2013 12:00:00 AMA very nice lunch. We enjoyed the restaurant week special. The pecan pie was a fine coda to the meal. The cod was tasty. They were trying to please. I heard a bit too much about the problems of the next table so don't expect to have "private" conversations.1/1/0001 4:00:00 PMSalad was huge and very tasty.Salad was huge and very tasty.
