Coyote CafeContinued ExcellenceDinner on Saturday night was as excellent at the myriad other times we've treated ourselves at Coyote Cafe. There is still the same attention to detail by a well-oriented staff and the food is as beautiful and delicious as our other visits. When we travel we recommend CC to other travelers. We are looking forward to our next visit. K & K ABQ6/15/2013 12:00:00 AMVery good, but very expensive.Very good, but very expensive. Once a year occasion. Noise level an issue, but no worse that most restaurants.6/15/2013 12:00:00 AMFather's Day celebrationOne of Santa Fe's long-standing fine dining restaurants. Especially enjoyed the soft shell crab starter. Good wine selection. The noise level was low enough that we could talk (not yell) at the table.6/14/2013 12:00:00 AMAlready planning trip back!We just got home and are already planning a trip back to Santa Fe JUST for this restaurant. In a word, amazing. Highly recommend the lobster tails and elk tenderloin. WOW!6/8/2013 12:00:00 AMSanta Fe's Best!We had the privilege of spending a wonderful evening at the Coyote Cafe. The food was the best we had in Santa Fe, the attentiveness and food & wine knowledge of our server was very impressive. I would recommend anybody who visits Santa Fe to take the opportunity to dine at the Coyote.6/8/2013 12:00:00 AMGot to goCoyote Cafe in Santa Fe NM is classy and classic. The outdoor bar upstairs is great with a wonderful SW menu. The Quesa Fundido is the best I've ever eaten. The indoor restaurant is very classy, pricey and doesn't have any SW food. Don't get me wrong. The filet I had melted in my mouth. The wine list is extensive but what really stood out was are attentive, friendly and knowledgable waiter Carlos. I added a note that we would be there with friends to celebrate my husbands birthday At the end of our meal they brought each of us a scoop of their lavender vanilla ice cream and his had a small candle. Perfect!! A must go place6/6/2013 12:00:00 AMProbably the best restaurantProbably the best restaurant in Santa Fe. Excellent food, creative menu, and superb service. Always consistently excellent.6/4/2013 12:00:00 AMExcellent RestaurantEnjoyed the experience very much, although the spacing of the tables could be enhanced. The service was exceptional, as the food came very quickly. Our server, she was on top of her game and gave good recommendations. We got the short ribs, which were a bit pricey and appeared to be of smaller portions, but it ended up being just the right amount. Overall, a great choice.5/25/2013 12:00:00 AMA Great Night Out!The night we went, the Mixologist had just introduced a new full menu of creative cocktails. We each had one and we were not disappointed. My husband had the Osso Buco and I had the vegetarian prix fixe with the wine pairings. It was fantastic! We have always had wonderful experiences at Coyote Cafe. The service was phenomenal: just enough attention, no rush, great recommendations. We look forward to our next visit!5/17/2013 12:00:00 AMLives up to reputationWhile passing through Santa Fe, we chose Coyote Cafe for dinner based on the reviews on the Open Table site. We were extremely pleased with the choice. Very efficient, very professional service and the food scores high on both preparation and presentation. My wife had the Berkshire pork osso bucco which was fork tender and braised to perfection. I had the mesquite grilled salmon, which was also done to perfection. My only minor quibble is with the Boursin raviolis accompanying the salmon, which were a bit tough. The desserts - chocolate mousse cake with raspberry sorbet and caramelized banana creme pie with cappuccino ice cream were outstanding. Finally, the ambience was great.5/13/2013 12:00:00 AMAn EveningThe dining area is light, impressive, spacious, giving a feeling of a relaxed private dining experience. We were able to have a one on one evening without being forced to lessen to uninvited conversations. The professional staff knows how to provide positive a memorable evening. The presentation of The Famous Cowboy Cut and “Chef’s” Famous Tellicherry Pepper Elk Tenderloin afford rich desirable qualities of mental nourishment and the taste. The taste of succulent, juicy, moist, luscious, rich, lush, mellow, mouthwatering were not lost with a finish of Banana Crème Pie and Lemon Berry Crème Brulee. Thank you for a very special evening.5/12/2013 12:00:00 AMYou're crazy if you don't eat here.My girlfriend and I came to Coyote Cafe on a recent trip to Santa Fe. We'd read great reviews, and it certainly lived up to and exceeded our expectations. Our server, Zach, was outstanding. He was knowledegable, personable, and friendly without being obtrusive to our experience. The wine list offers an excellent selection of different varietals, and the dinner menu items are excellent to match. The lobster bisque is off the charts! We were celebrating a special occasion and although we didn't tell Zach that, he treated us like we were important to him. He brought us a phenomenal desert, the white chocolate strawberry parfait, which is to this day the best dessert I have ever eaten. Do NOT miss this place!5/10/2013 12:00:00 AMThe food was absolutely amazing! The food was absolutely amazing! Do not miss the elk or the prawns- delicious! This restaurant is a true gem. Great service and obviously top notch food. We were in Santa Fe for a quick weekend getaway and will definitely return to Coyote Cafe the next time we visit.5/4/2013 12:00:00 AMWisely CoyoteChoosing a restaurant in Santa Fe is difficult because of the variety and quality of the options, but we took a look at the choices and wisely selected the Coyote Cafe. The staff was excellent and the food sophisticated and tasteful. We would definitely recommend. It lives up its reputation.5/4/2013 12:00:00 AMFoodie HeavenHad Foie Gras for first time and I must say it was Spectacular with the Perfect Scallop!! It was our anniversary and we got complimentary Champagne.. very sweet touch! The speed of the service was right on. We did have an early dinner so it was completely emply in the restaurant but that just meant more attention for us :-) The bread basket was so good.4/29/2013 12:00:00 AMFood was outstanding, 3 atFood was outstanding, 3 at the table had Pork Osso Bocco which just melted off the bone and one had the Filet Mignon cooked too perfection.4/27/2013 12:00:00 AMWonderful. I had read aboutWonderful. I had read about this spot years ago in a gourmet food magazine and thought the food and the experience was to be had. Planning our trip to Santa Fe reminded me of the spot to eat. The staff was friendly, happy and smiling. This is someething that you don't see often. People seem to be enjoying themselves and sharing food items which lots of restaurants don't seem to appreciate.
My husband had the elk which he loved and I had the filet and it was tender and cooked to perfection. The surprises were an offering of the lobster soup and finished with a wonderful dessert.
We would hightly reccommend Coyote Cafe to enjoy food at its finest.

We will return!4/21/2013 12:00:00 AMDo not miss this dining opportunitySuperb service, excellent food, and a wonderful dining experience.4/19/2013 12:00:00 AMDon't rush us!Although this is a top notch restaurant with quality food and ambience, while dining there I felt that the staff had been instructed to hustle people out the door quickly and efficiently. Waiters were too quick to bring us food initially, and then seemed to keep checking up on us to determine if we had finished a course so that they could remove the dishes and bring on the next. In fact, my dining partner and I took to pretending that we were still eating every time they passed by, or when they glanced over at us, so we would not be finished the entire meal in 45 minutes flat!
This is the kind of restaurant where customers want to savor the food and enjoy the presentation and ambience.4/19/2013 12:00:00 AMSecond verse as great as the first! This was our second visit to Coyote Cafe, and the team delivered a marvelous dining experience. We were treated to a lovely corner table with a view of the entire restaurant. Our server was knowledgable, polite, efficient, friendly...in short, Zach was the perfect sever. The food was expertly prepared and true to the description. Portions are generous and the tastes and textures were wonderful! The was the perfect start to our Santa Fe holiday...we cannot wait to return!4/10/2013 12:00:00 AMCoyote Cafe was the perfectCoyote Cafe was the perfect place to celebrate our 4th anniversary.4/8/2013 12:00:00 AMFROM START TO FINISH OUR TASTEFROM START TO FINISH OUR TASTE BUDS WERE ON OVERLOAD. Not to be missed when you are in Santa Fe.3/31/2013 12:00:00 AMSame chef/owner as Geronimo.Same chef/owner as Geronimo. Food was great. Big windows let in lots of light. The music being played and the t-shirt- & sneaker-wearing guests give it a club/lounge feel, which may be a nice alternative to Geronimo (although some folks might find that all to be a bit downmarket). Service was attentive but not intrusive. Only complaint would be that the cheese course was sized for 2-3 people, when it was clear it was only being ordered for one.3/30/2013 12:00:00 AMSuper nice waitstaff. ButSuper nice waitstaff. But the food is basically just good (and expensive). My adventurous eater 8 YO son and I had very nice tuna sashimi; a cool-sounding twist on caesar salad (with radishes and horseradish) that turned out to be quite blah; spicy prawns and jasmine rice cakes - prawns not that spicy, straight out of the 80's vertical presentation, with gummy rice cakes; and boursin ravioli with two sauces which they let my son order notwithstanding that it was listed as a component of the prix fixe only. He liked the ravioli.3/29/2013 12:00:00 AMService was outstanding asService was outstanding as was the food I enjoyed the most tender prime rib short ribs of my entire life. Pricey but worth it.3/28/2013 12:00:00 AMEvery thing was done to perfection.Every thing was done to perfection. Would recommend to all. We love fine dinning and this was by far a top of the line place. My only complaint was the music. It seems most restaurants play music for the employee and not the clients. Music when enjoying fine dinning should be back ground music and not hard, loud rap, and boistorous. Sorry, I hate turn over music for fine dinning. Service was great and would recommend to any one that enjoys good, scruptious food.3/27/2013 12:00:00 AMEnjoyed a great dinner....elkEnjoyed a great dinner....elk was perfect for the carnivores in the romp and mushroom strudel a hit with the vegetarian contingent. Excellent and attentive service from our waiter Carlos....We went on a weeknight which was pleasant....not so jammed as on the weekend or in summer months.3/26/2013 12:00:00 AMSanta Fe's bestUsed to be my favorite, and after 14 years it still is !3/21/2013 12:00:00 AMSince the late 1980's we'veSince the late 1980's we've gone to the Coyote Cafe every time that we've been in Santa Fe which is once or twice per year. It is by far the most consistent restaurant that we visit for food quality and service. They never disappoint. This time, I had the filet and my good bud, had the elk. They were both cooked to incredible perfection. The wine pairings were very good. This tradition will most certainly continue!3/20/2013 12:00:00 AMDrove from Winter Park, FLDrove from Winter Park, FL to Tucson and then to Coyote Cafe' for a reserved dinner on Sat.
night. Appreciated a call to confirm our resv. Got there 1/2 hr. early and asked to sit at bar until rsvn. Two people held 4 seats so couldn't sit at bar. Bar eatery said we could not sit there because we weren't ordering food. A long way to go to get turned out!
Something needed to be addressed, but instead we begged for our table early to get a drink
before dinner. Once we explained, we were given a table early. By the way, there were only 2 people at one table at 5:30.3/16/2013 12:00:00 AMThe CC serves up awesome andThe CC serves up awesome and creative cuisine in a classy, contemporary atmosphere ... a bit pricy, but well worth it!3/14/2013 12:00:00 AMFantastic as always!!!! Sara Chapman is a true professional and Aaron gave us amazing service and creative cocktails at the bar.3/13/2013 12:00:00 AMOutstanding Dining Experience! We enjoyed an exceptional dining experience at Cayote Cafe, The cuisine was delicious, yielding complex layers of flavors, from my Crabmeat Blintz salad (with endive, avacado, & toasted pinion), to my Firery Hot & Sweet Prawns with almond sushi rice cake, scallion mint salad, & basil caper aioli. My Wife thoroughly enjoyed the Cowboy Cut Ribeye with chilie onion rings, sweet grilled onions, grilled crimini mushrooms, grilled asparagus, and horseradish rosemary butter (remarking that this was the most delicious, tender steak that she could remember having ever eaten). The service was impeccable, friendly, & attentive. The Vanilla Bean Rhubarb Creme Brûlée dessert was divine.3/8/2013 12:00:00 AMOne of Santa Fe's premierOne of Santa Fe's premier restaurants. Truly a great dining experience.2/15/2013 12:00:00 AMBest Choice is the Chef's CounterSit at the Chef's Counter and watch every meal get prepared. Have cocktail and take your time with the menu and watch the preparation, it will help with you selection; however, you make want to order everything. Reserve the counter in advance; sit to the left to watch the prep for starter and to the right to see the entre's. The attention to detail and the preparation of all of the ingredients is amazing!1/17/2013 12:00:00 AMCould not have been better.Could not have been better.
