  • "Service/wait staff was great, which is always great. Salad bar very nice. The meats-- which is the whole point of going, were just OK. Filet, beef rib, and flank steak were tasty... Everything else was just mediocre. Will try Rios over by Harbison to see if it's better. We don't recommend it, try another place."

  • "Went for anniversary dinner and it was wonderful. Great wait staff was very attentive and food was tasty. Sat next to a large group so a little noisy. Would definitely go back!"

  • "This was our first opportunity to visit this type of restaurant. The food was very good, fast, and salad bar was unique, interesting and tasty. We would like to visit again -- now that we know what to expect."

  • "Its not worth the money at all. Food isn't made to your specifications. Everything was bland and under flavored. Will not be attending again or recommending anyone."

  • "Service was prompt and courteous and the food was excellent. Our reservations were at 6:30 on a Saturday and there was plenty of empty space. That space was full by 7:30 so remember that when making reservations."

  • "Cowboy is all about the meat. Sure, they have a very nice salad bar spread with lots of fixins'. But you're here the meat. The House Sirloin is, in my opinion, the best meat choice. Flavorful, juicy and with the right amount of fat, it is delicious. The small regular or bacon-wrapped filets are also good. For a little bit different flavor, try the parmesan pork. It tastes exactly as its name implies. The pork sausage is also good. Tip for first timers: don't fill up on the salad bar. And I recommend skipping the chicken and lamb offerings because relatively to the beef, they're just not as good. But the beauty is you can get as much as you can stomach. A surprising dessert treat is the grilled pineapple. Always a nice way to end your meal."

  • "This has to be meat heaven! It was never ending and that cinnamon sugar pineapple in between meats was the best. This is American pigging out at it's finest. We ate everything from lamb, sirloin, filet ribs, chicken... Every piece better than the last. Soft easy to chew falling apart in your mouth savory goodness. The servers were friendly and funny. The gurachoes were polite and timely. We will bring people here and recommend anyone who wants to eat like a T-Rex to visit. Reasonable price for the great service and the never ending food. More fruit please or other sweet and juicy options when taking a break from all that delicious meat."

  • "This was my first experience dining at Cowboy. I took my wife there for our anniversary. It was a great experience for us both. Great variety. I could have stayed at the salad bar all night and been pleased. The meat choices seemed to be never-ending. When you go, make sure you're really hungry so that you will have room to sample as much as possible. Regardless, you will be very content when you leave."

  • "Be prepared to eat a lot! The prices are high, but there is lots of food. You probably want to fast a few days before going to this restaurant!"

  • "This was our first experience for the five of us and expected a dining experience. We were advised the protocol is to serve ourselves on the salad bar and the meat would be brought to us at the table..we looked at each other and thought "Buffet" and were leery that we made a bad choice. However, the salad bar was good and the meat was excellent. The biggest negative was the noise level where we all agreed was too loud to the point where it was difficult to hear our own conversation. We all ate too much due to our lack of will power on the delicious meat and were miserable later and upset at ourselves for "pigging" out! if you're wanting a lot of food this is it...If you're looking for a fine dining experience this is not for you. "

  • "My visit to Cowboy's was wonderful! My in-laws were visiting from out-of-state and had never been to a Brazilian steakhouse and enjoyed their experience. I made my family's reservation online and made some specific requests (i.e., high chair, 2 booster seats). We arrived 15 minutes prior to our scheduled time and to our surprise not only was our table ready, with the items requested, but we also were seated in a semi-private room. Our waitress was friendly and responsive, ensuring that my in-laws understood the dining concept and that the children had their beverages immediately. The salad bar was very clean with fresh selections, and the gauchos were quick with the meat selections and even provided requested meat temperatures."

  • "My wife and was there on the 18th of May for her birthday we were disappointed in the food it was not as good as it was the last time we were there. The salad bar was ok and the hot bar was ridiculous I see where you cut down on the hot bar as well as the meat you were serving. They brought some to our table that look awful I refuse to eat it. Well you can see how my wife enjoy her birthday don't start your business off great and now going down hill very disappointed in your food. Yours Truly disappointed"

  • "My wife and I had never been here before, and we didn't know what to expect. It turned out to be unlike mist if the other restaurants in the Columbia area. It was wonderful!! The salad bar was good and fresh, with some very interesting items. Best of all was the endless array if meats, served by the gauchos who came by frequently and cut irrigator your table! Best was the Parmesan pork loin. Simply delicious!!"

  • "great food. wide selection party of 7 at college graduation celebration dinner. everyone found much to like. A bit pricey and service slow and forgetful to clear plates, but an overall great experience. Valet parking a nice feature. First time using open table. Booked this a week in advance from 600 miles away based on reviews. The reservation experience was very well done. Appreciated the restaurant's call to us a day before to confirm we were coming. Very smart on their part and appreciated by us. "

  • "My boyfriend took me to Cowboy on 4/26 to meet some friends for dinner. He warned me that the food was plentiful and the servers were quick and to not be tempted by the salad bar (I didn't listen). Our waitress explained the procedure, and no sooner did she leave the table to get our drinks, the food came flying in! And it was phenomenal. Everything was cooked to perfection and there was a huge selection of meats. I really enjoyed the bacon wrapped chicken and the filet, the house special and the pork sausage was great. Also - the mashed potatoes and cheese bar? Fantastic. Well worth the price! "

The Servers bring a variety of meats and slice them right at your table. Meat selections include lamb, beef, pork, and chicken. Desserts include chocolate cake and cheese cake. Each dish is prepared with perfection. This is truly a unique and delightful dining experience. "

We definitely would return to eat our favorite foods, baked pineapple, garlic and flank steak. Service was well-timed, friendly and outstanding. Everyone was great. We loved everything."

  • "We have dined at Cowboys before and enjoyed our experience. This past Sunday evening may have proved a deal breaker for us. Customer traffic was low. The good new was that the place was not crowded or overly loud. The bad news was the offerings of beef , chicken and lamb were all dry, and over seasoned. The lamb which is usually to die for , had so much rosemary seasoning, it was inedible. Consistency is the mark of a good restuarant. Sunday night was well below what we have come to expect at Cowboys. At their prices it is tough to give them a do over."
