Their lobster bisque was delicious without being salty, the steak was cooked correctly and had a wonderful taste. All the side dishes were very good.. The dessert table is at the entrance which wets many appetites. There were so many stations available that it was hard to try all but what we were able to sample was very good--from the raw bar (terrific large shrimp) to breakfast items, pastas, carving station, sushi and more. Our only problem was getting more coffee without asking each time (we are large coffee drinkers).

Our reservation was noted and we were immediately seated, without any wait time. The table was roomy and the seats were very comfortable. The waiter was attentive, but not over baring. The choices of food stations were very impressive, the choices were fresh Sushi, fresh seafood, the chilled shrimp were gulf size and fresh, salad station, breakfast station, veggetables, rack of lamb, tender loin cooked perfectly and so tender I was able to cut it with my butter knife, pasta station and a devine dessert station. We were able to eat at our own pace without feeling hurried. Usually we go for a special occasion, which Council Oak is perfect for. An intimate setting or group gathering is great. Each time we've gone, they have had groups of at least 10. They know how to accommodate & integrate these parties, but able to keep intimate affairs intimate. Ambiance is very nice with music in the background, beautiful decor & a wall of windows to bring the outdoors in. The food has always been excellent with a nice selection of beef, chicken, pork & fish. Side dishes are ala carte & will serve enough for the entire group. I would have rated the food much lower than a 4 had my date not ordered the fish and risotto meal which was outstanding and the asparagus we both enjoyed as a side dish.
