  • Catering: Cottage Place is well known throughout the community for its upscale catered events. From extensive appetizer buffets to remarkable buffet or plated dinners, Chef Frank Branham can turn any event into a memorable occasion. He will custom build a menu for YOU; anything from an intimate dinner party for 20 to a wedding reception for 200, to a buffet party for 350. . . The food and service will blow you away!!
  • Private Party Facilities: The Cottage Place is only open for dinner five nights a week, Wednesday through Sundays. As a result we are available for private parties on Monday or Tuesday evenings and any day for lunch. Private parties require a minimum of 25 people and can accommodate a group as large as 40.

A word from Cottage Place Restaurant
The Cottage Place Restaurant is located in a historic Flagstaff residence built in 1909. Opened in 1980, The Cottage Place has been a favorite of locals & tourists alike who enjoy its intimate atmosphere, fine food, excellent service & extensive wine list.

In 2012 Cottage Place Restaurant was named one of the 100 BEST OVERALL restaurants in the country by OPEN TABLE diners. The restaurant also has "The Award of Excellence" and has been named "Best Fine Dining" by readers of the local paper for many years.

In additional to serving dinner every Wednesday through Sunday, the Cottage Place Restaurant holds a series of Cooking Classes and has published an outstanding cookbook, Cottage Place Flavors. It is indeed a very special restaurant and the owners, Frank and Nancy Branham along with their entire staff, look forward to you dining with us soon!!

  • "Right from the first step in the door I knew it would be a keeper! Lovely hostess, smiled and made us feel very comfortable. The service was outstanding. Everyone pitched in and made sure we were happy. Started with the caprese salad - beautiful heirloom tomato; our waiter brought us a taste of the mushroom soup - amazing! Tenderloin medallions with porcini - wonderful. The tenderloins we cooked perfectly and cut with a fork. We didn't have room for dessert so I will have to make a trip back to enjoy soon!"

  • "My husband and I ate at the Cottage Place Restaurant on August 13, 2014, and had requested a cozy table for 2 as we were celebrating our 31st wedding anniversary. When we arrived at our appointed reservation time, we were immediately ushered in to a beautiful little table for two in one of 2 private front window spots. It was really perfect, and the food was exquisite. I would highly reccomend this restaurant to anyone, though I would caution them that it is quite pricey. Be prepared to pay at least $100 for 2 people --- not overpriced in our opinion. The service, food and ambiance are worth every penny."

  • "We had a great dinner at Cottage Place this weekend. Food was great, service was as well. I had the tasting menu which was a really nice way to sample several different items including veggies straight from the chef's garden! My husband had the gorgonzola encrusted filet and loved it. A really nice way to spend our anniversary while in Flagstaff! The only negative was a large noisy party- the restaurant is so small you can't do much to get away."

It was not just the best overall, but every element including the atmosphere, the patrons, every member of the staff, every course from appetizer to dessert, and the wine was the best. The crab cakes were outstanding, the steelhead was delicious, the beef bourguignon was rich and tasty. The strawberry shortcake flambé was enormously entertaining. Try it for your next special occasion."

  • "This is our second time here and will be a must for us each time we visit Flagstaff. The service and food are excellent. It is a quaint little place so make reservations early. There were 5 of us on this trip, my husband and I shared the rack of lamb which is made to perfection, the sides were delicious, the cream of mushroom soup and the flambe dessert were both amazing. My mother had the lamb chops and the creme brulee and she loved both. The other couple had a pasta dish and said the pasta was made to a perfect al dente."

We opted to sit on the small patio on a delightful July night. The chef circulated tables, checking in with dinner guests about the food, sharing his techniques, and a restaurant cookbook. The service was attentive without being overbearing. We chose the rack of lamb for two with seasonal veggies. The veggies were cooked perfectly; the lamb was possibly the best I have ever eaten. Next time we visit Flagstaff, we will dine here and recommend it to Tucson friends."

Our server noted that my wife is a very much of a chocolate person. The crab filled salmon and the spinach and goat cheese strudel were served with care and attention, and tasted as good as they looked. We were treated with warmth by our server and by Frank Branham, the chef and owner. The chocolate creme brulee dessert lived up to description. We would strongly recommend the Cottage Place for any occasion or no occasion."

  • "In this college town bursting with brew pubs & hamburger joints, what a delight to enjoy a gourmet meal, beautifully prepared with fresh & local ingredients (we saw the chef at the farmer’s market the next morning!!) in a wonderful and inviting atmosphere. The staff is very professional, attentive and knowledgeable about every item on the menu. Lamb was perfectly prepared and oh, so good; Ditto for the flounder. Great selections of wine. No room for dessert this time, although we were tempted. Everytime we've been here, it seems that we are the only out-of-towners. Obviously locals love this place! Open Table is the way to go - you need a reservation at this restaurant."

We were greeted immediatedly for our 8pm reservation and promptly seated in a perfect little alcove table. We had not asked for any special service but received the best we have had in a long while. The chef must be an award winner because my wife's Gorgonzola steak and my bouillabaisse was the fabulous, the best I have had since I had it in southern France."

It is pricey but you get really excellent food and service and it's a very relaxing and enjoyable 2 hours. I rate this restaurant the top fine dining location in all of northern AZ. The chef, Frank, is always cordial and visits with diners. Every server that we've had in our multiple visits has been very good to excellent. I highly recommend Cottage Place for special dinners for couples. Making the reservation on-line worked perfectly."

  • "Scallop appetizer with cilantro crema sauce was the perfect starter for the meal. I would like to see a larger portion be an entrée on the menu. Second appetizer was a tamale wrapped in a husk with tomatillo sauce. Mushroom veloute soup was hearty with a varied collection of mushrooms. The palate cleansing sorbet was cool and refreshing before the Tenderloin with mash potatoes. The pineapple and mango flambé prepared table side finished a fabulous evening. And, I like knowing that I can attempt to prepare these dishes at home by following the recipes in "Cottage Place Flavors" cookbook. "

  • "I started my meal with the creamy Tomato Basil soup which was good to the last drop. Next I chose the Surf and Turf special that included wonderfully tender medallions of Beef Tenderloin, charbroiled, napped with an amazing Port Wine Demi-glaze. It was accompanied by 2 scrumptious crab cakes and freshly made scalloped potatoes. My date really enjoyed the Shrimp and Scallop Fettucine in a Chardonnay Cream Sauce! For dessert we shared the Chocolate Creme Brulee! Our server, Dillon was friendly and attentive without hovering, and the owner, Frank stopped by the table to see how everything was going. All in all it was a wonderful evening! Relaxing and delicious in this little spot tucked away a few blocks from the main street in Flagstaff."

  • "This is a gem! I made a reservation 3 months in advance because I didn't want to miss an opportunity to go back here. The food, service and experience is fabulous. I think it is some of the best food that I have eaten and being from Los Angeles, we have a lot to choose from. They were late seating us and gave us champagne to toast for our special occasion while we waited. Seating is limited but worth the planning. Enjoy!!"

  • "The Cottage is a must have on your next trip to Northern Arizona. This would easily rate as a Michelin 4+ Star if it were located in any major market city. Food quality was off the charts great and service explicit. I enjoyed the 6 course Chef's tasting menu along with the paired wine flight and it was fantastic. Each flight was a flavor bomb for the mouth and the Cherries Flambe, made table side, capped off a perfect meal. Meal price was very reasonable given the quality of the food and service. Manager and Chef were both present on the floor throughout the evening insuring my experience was outstanding. Don't miss "The Cottage"! "
