It has been years since I have been to this restaurant and my husband and I were delighted to get a weekend evening reservation. The combination of food flavors and variety of choices that one cannot readily get in this small town make this a lovely dining place. The staff are incredibly respectful, polite and clearly professionals. Please consider this location next time you want a nice, high quality meal with a robust selection of wines.

This is the sort of place that makes you want to come back for more. A 5-star restaurant with great service but without the 5-star air. Sweatpants to suit and tie and everything in between works but it certainly lends itself to Flagstaff chic and making it an event for the evening. Expect a tableside visit from Frank the Chef! This is a regular stop for our trips to Flagstaff to relive some of our years living there. One of two or three musts for dining in Flagstaff.

Great food with great service. It's almost fine dining but worth it, especially as it is not the most expensive restaurant in the area. It can get a little loud with tables closely packed together and noise travels being that it's a converted residence but that is what creates the unique, quaint atmosphere. Undoubtedly the best restaurant in Flagstaff with friendly, knowledgeable waitstaff and I look forward to returning!

I was gifted Cottage Place Flavors Cookbook a couple of years ago... and have worked my way through a good many of these fabulous recipes. It was during this process that I fell in love with Chef Frank Branham, his co-author and wife Nancy, as well as photos of their charming and homey restaurant. My husband was not surprised when I proposed a pilgrimage to Flagstaff so that we could experience the source of my most recent culinary inspirations! (Flagstaff is wonderful.) Frank and Nancy are avid gardeners and we dined on Fall Squash Soup, Rib Eye Steak, Rack of Lamb, Warm Spinach Salad. The wine pairings were divine. The savory sauces shared at our table resulted in closed eyes and satisfied sounds. Desserts are a MUST! Oh so memorable.

Chose the smoked ribeye special that evening. The smoke flavor was good, way too much fat overall. More that half the cut was fat. The filet we had in the past far surpassed the ribeye in quality. Service was great, shrimp bisque wonderful. Pleasant atmosphere, friendly and attentive.

We've been coming here for the last several years to celebrate our anniversary. It's in a quaint house turned restaurant that is romantic and for special events or just a great meal. Frank (chef/owner) always comes up with new and exciting menu ideas using the freshest ingredients (many from his own garden) and seasonal items; visiting each table to make sure all is to your liking. I can't say enough about the wait staff, they are informative, attentive, professional and polite. Love the monthly "Taster Menus" which is a multi course meal with or without wine pairings. Reservations are highly recommended as they book up quickly (think there is only seating for 45), but they also try their best to accommodate walk-ins.

Celebrating our Anniversary -we wanted a table to ourselves, but were seated right alongside (or in between) two other couples. We had someone's backside in our faces when the hostess or the waiter were helping the other couples in the restaurant. I think there should be more separation between the tables along the wall. We ordered from the Twilight Menu, but was charged full price. We asked to split a dessert, and were charged for two desserts. The waiter was friendly, but did not pay attention to detail. The food was amazing, and we look forward to trying the chicken next time we come - but we will request a private table, specify that we are ordering from the Twilight menu, and specify we are splitting dessert!!

Our meal was excellent from the wine- dessert. Steaks were tender and succulent-- we were impressed. A find if you are in the area.

My wife found this when researching a recent trip we took to the Phoenix area. After visiting Sedona we drove up to Flagstaff for dinner - I'm glad we did. This was one of the best meals I've ever had. Not crazy fancy, just great food. I had a smoked ribeye special - it was amazing. The chef/owner stopped by our table and we chatted - he was glad to give information about how he prepared my meal - I can't wait to try it at home. My wife had the Goronzola encrusted steak - again - amazing....and the potatoes gratinee were also great. When we visit the area again we will definitely dine with them again. A bit pricey but worth it if you like great food in a cozy setting.

Right from the first step in the door I knew it would be a keeper! Lovely hostess, smiled and made us feel very comfortable. The service was outstanding. Everyone pitched in and made sure we were happy. Started with the caprese salad - beautiful heirloom tomato; our waiter brought us a taste of the mushroom soup - amazing! Tenderloin medallions with porcini - wonderful. The tenderloins we cooked perfectly and cut with a fork. We didn't have room for dessert so I will have to make a trip back to enjoy soon!

My husband and I ate at the Cottage Place Restaurant on August 13, 2014, and had requested a cozy table for 2 as we were celebrating our 31st wedding anniversary. When we arrived at our appointed reservation time, we were immediately ushered in to a beautiful little table for two in one of 2 private front window spots. It was really perfect, and the food was exquisite. I would highly reccomend this restaurant to anyone, though I would caution them that it is quite pricey. Be prepared to pay at least $100 for 2 people --- not overpriced in our opinion. The service, food and ambiance are worth every penny.

We had a great dinner at Cottage Place this weekend. Food was great, service was as well. I had the tasting menu which was a really nice way to sample several different items including veggies straight from the chef's garden! My husband had the gorgonzola encrusted filet and loved it. A really nice way to spend our anniversary while in Flagstaff! The only negative was a large noisy party- the restaurant is so small you can't do much to get away.

Cottage Place gave us the finest dining experience we have ever enjoyed. It was not just the best overall, but every element including the atmosphere, the patrons, every member of the staff, every course from appetizer to dessert, and the wine was the best. The crab cakes were outstanding, the steelhead was delicious, the beef bourguignon was rich and tasty. The strawberry shortcake flambé was enormously entertaining. Try it for your next special occasion.

This is our second time here and will be a must for us each time we visit Flagstaff. The service and food are excellent. It is a quaint little place so make reservations early. There were 5 of us on this trip, my husband and I shared the rack of lamb which is made to perfection, the sides were delicious, the cream of mushroom soup and the flambe dessert were both amazing. My mother had the lamb chops and the creme brulee and she loved both. The other couple had a pasta dish and said the pasta was made to a perfect al dente.

We have been to Flagstaff a few times of late but had not heard of Cottage Place. The reviews were strong and the summer dinner met our expectations. We opted to sit on the small patio on a delightful July night. The chef circulated tables, checking in with dinner guests about the food, sharing his techniques, and a restaurant cookbook. The service was attentive without being overbearing. We chose the rack of lamb for two with seasonal veggies. The veggies were cooked perfectly; the lamb was possibly the best I have ever eaten. Next time we visit Flagstaff, we will dine here and recommend it to Tucson friends.

We thought it would be a delightful place to celebrate our 20th anniversary dinner. Everything worked out even better than we had expected. Our server noted that my wife is a very much of a chocolate person. The crab filled salmon and the spinach and goat cheese strudel were served with care and attention, and tasted as good as they looked. We were treated with warmth by our server and by Frank Branham, the chef and owner. The chocolate creme brulee dessert lived up to description. We would strongly recommend the Cottage Place for any occasion or no occasion.
