We had a group of eight and I couldn't have been happier with the experience. This is the best 4-5 star restaurant in Telluride. Food and service was great from start to finish. We were coming from Mountain Village and the access is extremely easy from the gondola. I would definitely book here again, either for a romantic dinner with my wife or for another larger group.
I give the ambiance 3 stars because we were located in the back in something that looked like a fabric covered structure. We were first seated at interior table, but were moved to a window table on request. The shrimp and calamari appetizer was delicious, ceased salad is a must!!! We had the surf and turf, duck two ways and lamb. All three were 5 star dishes and truly fabulous. We tried two desserts, creme brûlée and the coconut dish. Again, both delicious. The coconut was very unique, with a French influence and a must try. They have a solid wine list and a top notch 20 year tawny port. This was our first time dining at Cosmos and will be back.
