The menu selections were wonderful and we had a pleasantly difficult time deciding. We were impressed with the quality of the food and the excellent service. My son was running late on his way in from New York City, so I called the restaurant and they were very understanding. They moved our reservation back one half hour, which set the tone for the whole night. Our server was very knowledgeable about the history of the restaurant and Hess's. We shared wonderful memories with her and this added to the whole experience. The food was beyond wonderful. Every course was delicious and the wine list was very nice. We decided that this will be our "go to place" when they are able to come in for a week-end. Thanks for a special evening.5/4/2013 12:00:00 AMTRY THE WAGYU STEAK!!!Where to start? OK, go to Cosmopolitan and get the Wagyu steak. It will be THE BEST steak you have ever had. I have been to steakhouses, and this was better. Also, go on Thursday for 1/2 price bottles of wine. This is a real deal - you can either go cheap and get a bottle of wine for $20, or you can get a fabulous bottle for half price. Here are the things currently that are yummy: gnocci, crab cake, beet salad, onion soup, short ribs, chicken, and yes, the WAGYU!!!! The filet is great too. Oh and the bearnaise is perfect! Finally, if you like champagne, their house champagne is yummy. Not too bitter.
Not to mention that cosmo is THE most gorgeous restaurant in the Valley - and they have valet parking. The facilities were outstanding and quite unexpected. Everything was first class.
Lunch was served in the first floor reception area which was comfortable for the smaller lunch crowd. The upper floors were much larger and suited for a dinner crowd or banquet.
The food matched the facilities. My rib-eye steak sandwich was very tasty and my wife loved her salad. I had a house red which was more then passable. Hubby and I are always looking for a good plate of spaghetti! From the moment we got out of our car (free valet parking!) until the time we left, I have to say our evening was perfect! This restaurant is beautifully decorated and to me, felt very romantic! Our service was beyond great, it was impeccable!
