Not the restaurant's fault, but they are doing heavy construction all over the area. No place to park, very loud trucks going by so it's hard to talk. My food was not good. Cobb Salad. My friend said his food was good. This is the fourth or fifth time I've been there and it has never been good. This is the last time!

The $20 corkage was excessive. I ordered the King Salmon with the sauce on the side. The salmon was cooked perfectly - very moist and tasty. Not sure if that was the case because I wanted the camouflage on the side. I would say the place is more suitable for a young crowd that thrives on high background noise and loud voices.

good beer selection here. little noisy that night as Giants game was on. table we seated at wasn't great and I was wondering why we were placed there given that when we arrived there were other available tables (maybe I had asked for a quiet table????....we were definitely back by the wait staff and bathrooms.....should be the last table they seat). both times we have eaten there, food has been very, very good; however, everyone commented that the menu could be a bit bigger.....not a lot but a few more options. go there....it is good.

I had eaten here twice before and found the food to be very original and absolutely delicious—the flavor combinations and different textures were amazing. Service was great. But this time (on my third visit), the food was largely bland and ordinary. One of my dining companions ordered salmon and it was still raw inside. Another nearby table was seated after we had ordered, ordered after we did, served before us and had their dishes cleared all before our food was served.

Corners Tavern is a lovely restaurant, however, they are currently sandwiched between two major construction projects. During a "normal," dining experience outside only contending with the passing cars would be fine, but add the two large structures being built with drills, hammers, drilling, and cranes...not pleasant.

I've been here a few times, but this time was so great. Our server was like our friend, he knew how to make the right food and drink choices, immediately and was spot on! I had the chicken, which I typically don't and I'm still remembering it as the best chicken I have had in so long! It was four friends getting together, I picked Corner's and everyone was so delighted with it. I hope you keep it up during al that horrid construction in WC right now!

This place has a trendy but comfortable vibe. Every time I've been here, the food has been amazing, and this visit was no exception. I had the ale-battered flounder, which in lesser hands could be simply another fish 'n chips, but not here. At Corners Tavern, it's served with delicious tiny potatoes, and sauce they described as "piquillo aioli" and I just called delicious. My husband had the grilled pork chop, and said it was one of the best he'd ever had. We shared the chocolate stout pudding for dessert. Calling this stuff "pudding" is simply not adequate; "chocolate addiction" is more like it. The staff overheard me mention that it was my husband's birthday, and because of this comped the dessert. Unbelievable and super nice. Five stars.

Overall the food was pretty good. We had one person in our group who sent a cheeseburger back (twice) and they still couldn't cook it through. Our server was Will and we didn't see him very often. When he showed up he was pretty good, but for a table of 10 many people commented on how slow the service was. This has been a "go to" place in WC, but not sure anymore.

Food was excellent We enjoyed the Pork Chops and the Flounder. It is a little hard to find a quiet table. Your either near the bar (very loud) or near the kitchen (occasionally loud) or near the street. But, the ambiance is nice and then service is good. Also, an interesting and tasty selection of beers on tab.

Our dinner at Corners Tavern was just ok. Nothing really wrong, but nothing really good or memorable about the experience. There is absolutely nothing exciting or special about this restaurant. You'll forget you were ever there within a day or two of your visit. The food is ok, but the menu is pedestrian. Nothing you haven't seen elsewhere a hundred times. The food was well prepared, but also just the usual fare. I have the feeling that the management of this place is trying to play it safe and not upset anyone. They could use an injection of courage and imagination.

I have enjoyed dining at Corners Tavern quite a few times before and the seasonally changing menu can be a real win sometimes, others not so much. This recent visit was on a Saturday night and they gracious altered our reservation when we were held up for 20 minutes, not always the case for a group of seven. We had three kids with us and considering that, the wait for food items was long and the staff seemed life they were in the height of a Saturday night rush. Perhaps more staff would have alleviated this, but maybe it was the curse of Saturday night. Food was all prepared well and was fully enjoyed. We will return again, but perhaps on a quieter evening or for lunch.

We have always liked sitting outside to eat at a restaraunt, when the weather is fine. It is such a civilized activity. This place fit the bill, with nice outdoor seating...but we came here 3 timed, and each time the food was really bad, bordering on being inedible. In fact, we wondered why it stayed open. Seduced by the weather, we thought we'd have a drink outside and gave this place a try again....we were surprised that the food had GREATLY improved, and was overall was edible, and in fact enjoyable. The Caesar salad was overpowered by spicy croutons, my salmon was undercooked and they still don't know how to cook french fries, but even so, the food is good enough that we will return. Pretty nice wine and beer list.

This was our first time at Corners and my husband, my mother, and I all felt that it was a great meal. The food was very good; I had the flounder, my mother had the salmon and my husband had the gnocchi. We all thought our meals were well-prepared and very good. The waiter, whose name I don't know, was great. He was patient and incredibly helpful. I also had a Moscow Mule which was very good. I recommend having a flight of wines - it's a great way to try different ones and then you can pick one for dinner! We sat in a booth which was also great for my mom who doesn't hear very well. We are always looking for a place in Walnut Creek that my mom likes and that I like. Corners is a great option for us. Phew!

Wow, we had the corn gnocchi, smoked half chicken, and tuna cod ceviche appetizer which were fantastic! The flavor combinations and the use of fresh melon for the summer made the dishes. Our waiter was so friendly, engaging, and attentive it really made it a wonderful experience. The drinks were terrific too, the Mojo Rizer (minus cilantro for me I'm allergic) super refreshing. We love that they change up the food and drink menus, always trying different things and that make it even more fun.

We were greeted with a warm welcome and then seated at a table with sun blinding us. Asked to move and were given a booth. Very nice! Our waitress came to ask if we wanted a cocktail, which of course we wanted but it took a while to get. Note wine is quite expensive. Our waitress came back to take our order for dinner, no note of specials or her name. Got drinks, finally and sure enough, dinner was served. We were in and out in one hour. Not too relaxing. Probably a better fit for the younger crowd.

I have been to Corners Tavern a handful of times and enjoyed it. This last time was a dismal experience. There were 5 of us and it took a long time to get a server to take our drink orders. We finally were able to order and the server's attitude was atrocious. It was obvious he didn't want to wait on our table. When the bill came we payed a portion of cash and a portion of credit. The server didn't like the tip we left for him, which was comparable to the service we received. He told us there must have been a mistake and asked me to revise the tip, He said "the total was....you should tip off of that amount." Needless to say none of us will dine there again and we would not suggest it to anyone we know.

I had a nice lunch with a friend and the food was tasty. I ordered the shrimp role which was good and it came with a lightly dressed lemony sale which was wonderful. Service was very good and we sat in one of the few booths. They can open up the front widows completely to make the front of the restaurant indoor outdoor which is very pleasant. The biggest drawback is the noise from the local construction in nearby stores which would not be happening for a dinner or brunch meal. I enjoyed the lunch and will definitely come back again and try dinner or brunch as well. It is a nice option for the area.

Corners Tavern equals craft beers.....my son is into those. Our meal was delicious. I would know as I sampled pretty much everyone's food (I know....icky; but, good way to taste it all). They had two different flights of brews which my menfolk enjoyed and I had the Rose flight....yum. The house salad, zucchini/basil soup and sausage/spaetzle appetizers all went down well as did the flounder in ale batter along with the Thursday night special, brisket ($30 for 3 courses). My son mentioned how good the sauce was with the brisket and I know the carrot/mint puree surrounding the carrot cake dessert was to die for. With all the current construction, the outdoor dining view isn't great but still nice to sit outside.

I found the menu to be well priced and original. The fried peas were excellent and spiced right. The entrees were excellent though I did not realize my flounder would be so thickly battered, making it hard for me to consume that much oil, since I am moderate in my fried food consumption. Even though I do not eat red meat my companions gave high marks to the brisket. Desserts were not original. A light mousse instead of a heavy chocolate pudding and a light crust on the apricot would be nice after a big meal. The level of sweetness and taste/flavour were excellent. I will be back. Great ambience except the animal heads could definitely go. We don't need to promote wildlife destruction these days or promote beheaded animal as a decoration.

Beer / wine selections excellent - had a question about one of the beers - server wasn't sure so went to have the expert come over - I really appreciated the fact she didn't just make up an answer - happens a lot in restaurants. Food was timely and ingredients tasted fresh - my mixed green salad was superb. Service was there when you needed it, not when you didn't.

Great location, in that it's located close to Neiman Marcus & Nordstrom etc! A beautiful building (inside & out) but on a Friday night, it was packed which delayed service and was VERY LOUD. The food in general is good comfort food with numerous items to select from. We enjoyed 4 appetizers starting with the Fried Snap Peas with chili lemon vinaigrette ($6) = fantastic * Pan Fried Shrimp with garlic-pepper oil & sea salt ($14) = O.K. although we would not order this again (didn't seem fresh - but frozen & generic) * House Cured Charcuterie with pickled vegetables & grain mustard ($12) = very good * Smoked Chicken Wings with achiote, lime & cilantro ($10) best we've ever had. This with a nice drink was a good way to end the shopping day !

Great selections. We started with the lamb tartare, grilled spicy snap peas, and tune/cod ceviche-scrumptious. For entrees, the pork chop and the grilled lamb can’t be beat. The fettucine was a superb choice as well. Our server, Joe, was friendly, fast, and helpful. We sat at a four top close to the open air and as nice as it is to be almost outside, the rumble of voices from surrounding tables was almost deafening. If you want to have it a bit quieter, ask for a booth. Aside from the noise level, we all enjoyed the experience. Free parking is offered next door after 6pm in the Chase Bank parking lot. That’s a perk as finding parking as Broadway Plaza is remodeled is trying. Check out Corners. You won’t be disappointed. It’s a hot spot.

Three of us came from San Jose to celebrate a birthday lunch. All of us loved our selections! Our server was attentive and very pleasant. One of us had the papardelle with lamb, she raved about it. One had the Cubana sandwich and she thought it was perfect. I had the fish and chips. My only complaint was there were only two small pieces of fish. It was very tasty though and the fries were excellent! A great birthday celebration! Oh! the cocktails were delicious too!

Ate here for lunch during the week. Usually a good spot in Walnut Creek. But, I had the Cubano sandwich and the pork was really dry and overcooked. The french roll it came on was over toasted which made the sandwich even more dry. I'd go back again because it's a pretty good place. But, I wouldn't order the Cubano again.
