Wow, we had the corn gnocchi, smoked half chicken, and tuna cod ceviche appetizer which were fantastic! The flavor combinations and the use of fresh melon for the summer made the dishes. Our waiter was so friendly, engaging, and attentive it really made it a wonderful experience. The drinks were terrific too, the Mojo Rizer (minus cilantro for me I'm allergic) super refreshing. We love that they change up the food and drink menus, always trying different things and that make it even more fun.

We were greeted with a warm welcome and then seated at a table with sun blinding us. Asked to move and were given a booth. Very nice! Our waitress came to ask if we wanted a cocktail, which of course we wanted but it took a while to get. Note wine is quite expensive. Our waitress came back to take our order for dinner, no note of specials or her name. Got drinks, finally and sure enough, dinner was served. We were in and out in one hour. Not too relaxing. Probably a better fit for the younger crowd.

I have been to Corners Tavern a handful of times and enjoyed it. This last time was a dismal experience. There were 5 of us and it took a long time to get a server to take our drink orders. We finally were able to order and the server's attitude was atrocious. It was obvious he didn't want to wait on our table. When the bill came we payed a portion of cash and a portion of credit. The server didn't like the tip we left for him, which was comparable to the service we received. He told us there must have been a mistake and asked me to revise the tip, He said "the total was....you should tip off of that amount." Needless to say none of us will dine there again and we would not suggest it to anyone we know.

Service was poor, one person took order then no one checked back. Dinner for four took 45 minutes to deliver. Had seafood fettuccine , avoid it is not good despite waiters recommendation. Would recommend you try better restaurants in Walnut Creek. Others in party liked the hamburger and the lamb dish. Service very poor

I had a nice lunch with a friend and the food was tasty. I ordered the shrimp role which was good and it came with a lightly dressed lemony sale which was wonderful. Service was very good and we sat in one of the few booths. They can open up the front widows completely to make the front of the restaurant indoor outdoor which is very pleasant. The biggest drawback is the noise from the local construction in nearby stores which would not be happening for a dinner or brunch meal. I enjoyed the lunch and will definitely come back again and try dinner or brunch as well. It is a nice option for the area.

Corners Tavern equals craft beers.....my son is into those. Our meal was delicious. I would know as I sampled pretty much everyone's food (I know....icky; but, good way to taste it all). They had two different flights of brews which my menfolk enjoyed and I had the Rose flight....yum. The house salad, zucchini/basil soup and sausage/spaetzle appetizers all went down well as did the flounder in ale batter along with the Thursday night special, brisket ($30 for 3 courses). My son mentioned how good the sauce was with the brisket and I know the carrot/mint puree surrounding the carrot cake dessert was to die for. With all the current construction, the outdoor dining view isn't great but still nice to sit outside.

If the restaurant asks how my hamburger should be cooked then I expect it that way (medium rare). When it came out very well done they did replace it right away but I had to wait while everyone else are their meals to get mine. It was good in the end.

I found the menu to be well priced and original. The fried peas were excellent and spiced right. The entrees were excellent though I did not realize my flounder would be so thickly battered, making it hard for me to consume that much oil, since I am moderate in my fried food consumption. Even though I do not eat red meat my companions gave high marks to the brisket. Desserts were not original. A light mousse instead of a heavy chocolate pudding and a light crust on the apricot would be nice after a big meal. The level of sweetness and taste/flavour were excellent. I will be back. Great ambience except the animal heads could definitely go. We don't need to promote wildlife destruction these days or promote beheaded animal as a decoration.

Very personalized service. Had menu captioned with guests' names who were having a birthday. Waiter was very knowledgeable about how the food was prepared. Gave good recommendations. The smoked chicken wings were excellent appetizers. Zucchini soup was refreshing. The lamb entrée was fabulous. Try the almond ice cream--very different. Will definitely be returning.

My pal is on a diet and wanted a burger and fries (naturally) but ordered the Corners Cobb Salad - he said it was the best he'd ever had - and I can promise he has a lot of experience with Cobb Salads!! Been here a number of times for lunch, but never dinner - menu covered most of the food groups without being an onerous read. Beer / wine selections excellent - had a question about one of the beers - server wasn't sure so went to have the expert come over - I really appreciated the fact she didn't just make up an answer - happens a lot in restaurants. Food was timely and ingredients tasted fresh - my mixed green salad was superb. Service was there when you needed it, not when you didn't.

Great location, in that it's located close to Neiman Marcus & Nordstrom etc! A beautiful building (inside & out) but on a Friday night, it was packed which delayed service and was VERY LOUD. The food in general is good comfort food with numerous items to select from. We enjoyed 4 appetizers starting with the Fried Snap Peas with chili lemon vinaigrette ($6) = fantastic * Pan Fried Shrimp with garlic-pepper oil & sea salt ($14) = O.K. although we would not order this again (didn't seem fresh - but frozen & generic) * House Cured Charcuterie with pickled vegetables & grain mustard ($12) = very good * Smoked Chicken Wings with achiote, lime & cilantro ($10) best we've ever had. This with a nice drink was a good way to end the shopping day !

Great selections. We started with the lamb tartare, grilled spicy snap peas, and tune/cod ceviche-scrumptious. For entrees, the pork chop and the grilled lamb can’t be beat. The fettucine was a superb choice as well. Our server, Joe, was friendly, fast, and helpful. We sat at a four top close to the open air and as nice as it is to be almost outside, the rumble of voices from surrounding tables was almost deafening. If you want to have it a bit quieter, ask for a booth. Aside from the noise level, we all enjoyed the experience. Free parking is offered next door after 6pm in the Chase Bank parking lot. That’s a perk as finding parking as Broadway Plaza is remodeled is trying. Check out Corners. You won’t be disappointed. It’s a hot spot.

I REALLY like this place, but the Entrée consisting of 3-pieces of lamb was poor. The top piece with bone was 50% fat, the middle was perfect, the bottom was overcooked and like leather. This is the first disappointing thing I have had here. Everything else was great and I really like the eclectic selection of beers.

Three of us came from San Jose to celebrate a birthday lunch. All of us loved our selections! Our server was attentive and very pleasant. One of us had the papardelle with lamb, she raved about it. One had the Cubana sandwich and she thought it was perfect. I had the fish and chips. My only complaint was there were only two small pieces of fish. It was very tasty though and the fries were excellent! A great birthday celebration! Oh! the cocktails were delicious too!

Ate here for lunch during the week. Usually a good spot in Walnut Creek. But, I had the Cubano sandwich and the pork was really dry and overcooked. The french roll it came on was over toasted which made the sandwich even more dry. I'd go back again because it's a pretty good place. But, I wouldn't order the Cubano again.

We had two birthdays to celebrate, and we wanted to go to a "nice spot". We were hoping that the windows would have been up so we could all sit "outdoors", but that wasn't the case. We got a table outside, and really...it was very nice. It's too loud inside to chat amongst one another. Because it was Monday, they had the fried chicken special, and 3 of us enjoyed it! We stayed until it closed, and we ate and drank to our hearts content! Thank you Corners Tavern!

We dine here about once a month when we feel like a casual and convenient night out. We are unwilling to compromise on food quality and we never go away disappointed. Seems like we always try something new to eat and always try an interesting wine. Our server Brian is consistently charming and attentive. I especially love warm evenings when the wall is open! This time we tried the lamb tartare for the second time and the tweaks to the recipe were spot on. The seafood fettucine was delicious as well.

Received message from restaurant to confirm our reservation the day before we were to dine there to find out our reservation was for 1:00 pm. Was told that they would try to accommodate us at 7:30. I told them they better since I got email confirmation. The day of our dinner, we show up at 7:15. Restaurant checked us in. The computer screen shows our party to be 7 while the hostess asked if we had 6. Where did that number come from? She said she had a table for 6 waiting for us but since we have 7 they need to set another setting. Huh? Food was just ok. They ran out of steak at prime dinner time. My son was disappointed since he had his heart set on steak.

Dinner was very good and the service was good, except for one small thing. The waitress forgot to put in our salad orders that we were to have before our entrees, so we didn't get the salads but she very generously gave us our desserts for free. It worked out fine and we had plenty of food. The ale battered flounder was excellent, as was the salmon and one person had the hamburger and they said it was also excellent. Good bar and drinks, tasty appetizers (esp. the smoked chicken wings), and cool indoor/outdoor vibe (glass garage door literally lifts/lowers to expose restaurant to the street). Came here for lunch and thought the place was nice. The waitress we had provided slow service and practically forgot about us as we noticed tables that got seated after us were getting their food first. Then our waitress was MIA for a while as we were trying to get a status on our orders. Our food would have never arrived if we didn't ask another waiter who did pick up our food from the back and served it to us. The food was good but our veggies were over salted. Too bad our first impression of this spot left a bad taste for us to come back. Food selection was good, service needs a bit more training keeping tabs on their tables.

Friendly Service, vibrant yet relaxed atmosphere, interesting yet familiar dishes and just the right amount of background sound of people enjoying themselves. Always enjoy a big room outdoor feeling on a beautiful evening.
