  • "Great atmosphere and inviting service. As it was our first time at the restaurant, our waiter explained everything in sufficient detail, but not too much. Provided great wine and beer pairings and proper pacing of the meal. Starters of bologna sandwich (seriously good . . ) and house sausage. Entrees of Duck Heart Ragu with Pappardelle and the Duck Confit was outstanding."

  • "I had requested a special table for requested a special table for our anniversary-we were shown to a table outside next to the door. The mosquitoes were horrible and I suggest they get some candles or something to keep them away. Usually when you mention a special occasion, you at least get a greeting, if nothing else. Didn't happen. Charcuterie was wonderful, although missing the normal accoutrements-pickled veggies, fruit spreads, etc. that we have received in the past. Halibut was good, lamb gnocchi had tons of meat, but swimming in oil. The highlight was the maple Napoleon for dessert! Light and wonderful! Will come again, but some attention to detail seems lacking."

  • "Was looking for some place we hadn't been to for our anniversary dinner. Saw the Corner Table listed in Mpls-StPaul magazine as one of their top 50 restaruants. Boy, were they right. Every employee we encountered was top notch and welcoming. The servers were very helpful in describing the menu items. We started with the duck confit appetizer, and licked the platter clean. The lamb Wellington was perfect and the truffled halibut was simply extraordinary. And be sure and save room for dessert. Yes, we'll be back -- soon!"

  • "Everything was on point. We were warmly greeted as we walked in the door, and quickly shown to our table. We were able to look over menus before Jesse greeted us. He went over some signature items and then informed us of the five course tasting menu. After a debate over signature items or the tasting menu, we went for the tasting menu. It was INCREDIBLE. Every course was beautiful to look at and taste. Portions were perfect, we left very satisfied but not stuffed. The wine pairings were fantastic. I cannot think of a single thing that could improve. We will be back!"

  • "Our waiter warned us about the portions and indeed they were substantial. I think I would have rated it 5 stars if the portions were a little smaller. One entree would have been plenty for my husband and I (and we were very hungry). But we like to try a couple of thugs to share and it was way too much food. The lamb Wellington was so delicious!"

  • "My husband and I were nestled into a row of 2 top tables. The Restaraunt was energized w engaged conversations all around. Our server was only on his second night of work - but fabulous! He seemed to know the menu very well and what he didn't know the answer to he was happy to discover. His love for the place was evident. We loved the creative food and suggested wines that paired beautifully. We will be back! This is truly a neighborhood GEM!"

  • "In our first visit to the new location, we tried the five course tasting menu with wine pairing. Each course was disappointing in one way or another; for example, the "amuse-bouche" was a simple round corn fritter; the salmon mouse was oddly waxy, although its avocado filling and potato salad paring was tasty; the highly-touted pork belly was limp. The portion sizes were tiny even for a tasting menu. And the wine pairing was the smallest pour I have ever seen; when we pointed this out to the server, she condescendingly said it was a "tasting pour", as if we did not know what we were complaining about. Given how many great small plate restaurants there are in the Twin Cities, we cannot recommend a mediocre tasting menu at $200 for two."

  • "we came to celebrate my sister's birthday. everyone was very impressed and the food. so, so fantastic. there was also a family with a young child who seemed like he needed to run around a bit. they set up a separate table for them on the patio so he could stretch his legs and they wouldn't disrupt anyone else eating. i thought it was handled really well and made everyone happy. will definitely be back!"

  • "We had a good experience except that when we brought our infant daughter in her car seat, the hostess have us a mini lecture about how I should have let the restaurant know about the car seat ahead of time. There were a number of places where the car seat would have worked and we had a reservation. The comment was unnecessary and made us feel unwelcome."

  • "There were only 2 or 3 items on the menu that didn't include pork, foie gras, or meat. The only starter on the menu without meat was a green salad. Pathetically unimaginative with the trendy pork, "pork belly," or bacon in practically every dish on the menu. We asked if we could have a cheese platter as an appetizer, and that was available -- why not add it to the menu? Very disappointing, especially since we'd dined at Restaurant Alma the night before and when we asked for vegetarian options, the waitress brought us a different menu, with 9 or 10 vegetarian options (all of them delicious, I might add!) If you're a vegetarian looking for a good meal, steer clear of this restaurant and go to Restaurant Alma instead."

  • "We went on an overcast day and took a gamble with the patio. It did drizzle for a bit but we toughed it out and then the sun came out as our food arrived. The food as always was fantastic. We had duck and it was like no duck we ever had before......so good. Aspargas flan so light and yummy. Server was great also, recommended a good wine that went great with our meal and wouldn't put us in the poor hours."

  • "Six of us recently dined at Corner Table, four enjoyed their meals, two of us did not. I ordered the pasta dish (ricotta filled) with carrot puree; the meal arrived cool (along with two other meals at the table), the pasta was thick and uncooked, the ricotta filling didn't have much, if any, taste to it, and the carrot puree was bland; the entire dish was bland. I tried the 'soup of the day' (ramp/leek and potato puree), again, very bland. I'm not a fan of salt, but in this case a pinch of it would have added some excitement to the dishes. For a restaurant that's received as much 'acclaim' as this one has, I'm surprised I found two less than adequate dishes on their menu."

Entrees are not large, so order an appetizer (many of which are not to be found at other area restaurants). Service was friendly and efficient. This is our go to place when we want upscale dining that never fails to satisfy. "

  • "I took my daughter and her husband to Corner Table to celebrate her birthday. We were greeted by friendly and knowledgeable staff and seated at a table in a bright corner. We ordered the five course menu (vegetarian and not). Each course was wonderful and creative without being overly clever. The service was excellent. The only downside was that when the restaurant was full, the noise level was very high. Can't wait to go back when the open the outside dining area!"

Presented in such a way that it was filling, but not over the top filling. Fantastic. Rabbit and waffle was also a pleasure. Executed to perfection. A side of pork belly and a sweet potato long john were PERFECT sides to round out an awesome brunch. Worth it... "

  • "The whole menu, from top to bottom, is exquisite. The flavors that every dish put out are fantastic. Starting off with pork belly, crispy torchon of duck confit or the charcuterie platter and you can NOT go wrong in any way. All are fantastic. The lamb x2 was one of my new favorites, but you can't chose an entree that will not make you happy. Run here now. Enjoy their new space. Enjoy their staff and service. Every penny is well spent."

  • "Another great meal! The constantly changing menu allows you to go back frequently and always have a new experience. Chef Thomas is the most creative chef in MSP/STP. He keeps his dishes innovative using seasonal ingredients without having to resort to gimmicks. Siri kept us laughing all night while guiding us with suggestions for an overall great dining experience. The entire team achieves an elegant evening of food without pretentiousness. We've travelled the world and no other place can top Corner Table for food, service, experience, and price."

  • "Tried Corner table for the first time for my wife's birthday. The wait staff was friendly and very knowledgeable about the menu and wine list. My wife's appetizer of the yellow fin crudo with rhubarb sauce was wonderful. Her truffle crusted halibut was good but my kaesespaetzle with rabbit and pheasant's ridge reserve cheese was amazing. The rhubarb panna cotta for desert was delicious "

  • "We had the 5 course tasting menu which was superb. The taste and presentation were great. We especially liked the salmon appetizer (and I don't usually eat salmon) and the rabbit. The only miss was the beef tenderloin which was quite chewy and had little flavor. Desserts of rhubarb panna cotta (gelee was unbelievable) and candy bar finished the meal perfectly. Our server was very knowledgeable about the food and wines. She was delightful. We will go back."

  • "We had the 5-course tasting menu and it was good food, just nothing super outstandingly good. We enjoyed the variety of dishes from Salmon foie gras torchon to Ricotta Gnocchi with fiddlehead fern (my favorite) to Country Fried Rabbit to Sirloin strip with pommes roulette. Loved the desserts as well, we had the panna cotta with rhubarb and the maple Napolean something (that was fantastic). The awesome customer service was when it was discovered that the kitchen made an error and had not removed the plastic wrap around the torchon. We didn't mind too much but the manager personally apologized and comped our bottle of wine and gave us an extra dessert- signature sweet potato donuts (delicious!). That's how you go above and beyond!!"

  • "Corner Table's move to it's new digs give diners a bit more elbow room and a great view of the kitchen where all the action happens. Chef Thomas Boemer's kitchen is a pleasure to watch and surprisingly quiet! The food that comes out is nothing short of amazing. The dishes are beautifully composed looking as wonderful as they taste. Our group sampled appetizers - asparagus flan, pork belly, hushpuppies and some of the charcuterie which could have been a meal in itself. In terms of mains there is something for everyone - our vegetarian loved a main of cauliflower while the rest of us enjoyed rabbit, pork and halibut. Only disappointment was inability to order chefs tasting men. Two of us wanted it but the entire table had to order it."
