From our entrance into this delightful restaurant to our exit we had a friendly, comfortable, delightful experience. Great decor, helpful staff, superb food and even the other diners were smiling, happy folks. Looking forward to the next time.

My wife and I went there to spend a quiet dinner on a Saturday night together. We had been to Corner Table before, loved the food and the quiet atmosphere. We didn't know they had moved until we drove past it three times. The food was still fantastic... The atmosphere was not at all what it used to be. Loud, busy, cramped, just like any typical south Minneapolis independent restaurant. Everything that made Corner Table stand out disappeared. The service was typical, not as personable as it used to be. It seemed far more cliquey, with employees chatting it up with their regulars. Although we loved the food, as usual, we doubt we will make a return trip. Sorry to see a quiet place with good food change into a stereotypical Uptown bar.

I was hesitant to try this restaurant. I've heard mixed reviews of this place from friends whose opinions I respect. With that said our experience turned out to be great. We arrived about 10mins early and they seated us exactly at our reservation time. Our server checked to see if it was our first time here and when we said yes he proceeded to go through the whole menu. We decided to order straight off the menu instead of the 5 course tasting menu. They had just started a new fall menu after restaurant week and said they were open to feedback on any of the items we had ordered but none was required. Food tasted fresh and flavorful, just perfect. Service was great, attentive but not overbearing. We will be returning.

Corner Table consistently wows us with the flavor combinations of the menu choices, the wonderful service, and the delicious wines. We really enjoy eating here. The only thing we would change is the noise level. It's difficult to carry on a conversation, which is a shame, because it's the type of place that otherwise makes for a relaxed, superb dining experience.

I've always wanted to try corner table so when I saw they were participating in restaurant week, I thought it would be a great opportunity to try several things. The food was excellent; creative and flavorful. My friend and I both got a wine pairing with our meal and I have to say this was the only part that was slightly disappointing. I actually appreciate a smaller pour with pairings so I don't over-indulge, but these were so small we hardly got two full sips. It was $15 and I don't think I got a full glass of wine in total. I'd gladly pay more to experience the pairing but if you can't do more than that due to costs, then it shouldn't be on the menu. It detracted from an experience that was otherwise truly delightful.

Wonderful food, very inventive. Service was not great - neither of the hostesses were friendly or greeted people promptly - don't think I saw them smile once. Restaurant needs to understand that although the food may be great, it's important to make the whole experience notable.

Dined at Corner Table for the first time during restaurant week. They offered a 3 course price fixed dinner with wine pairings for additional cost. The only reason I'm not giving a 5 star rating is because the wine pours were really measly. At first I thought our server was pouring a "taste", but no...it was the pairing for that course. The rest of the courses were creative and delicious! Would definitely return, but note to self...purchase a bottle instead to go with the meal.

We visited Corner Table in their new location during restaurant week. We enjoyed everything and some things a bit more than others. The short ribs were amazing. The meat was as tender and flavorful as it gets. We also enjoyed the amazing "candy bar" dessert. My husband commented he may go back just for the dessert some time. I would go back for the short ribs. The wine pairings were also wonderful and we let our server decide. I always enjoy having servers with opinions.

My husband and I live in the neighborhood and wanted to get in to Corner table for Restaurant Week. Tuesday was the only night we could do it and 9:15 was the only time available. I made the reservation but was hesitant how late it was. We were surprised to find it still totally busy. I liked the decor inside and was pleased by the intimate setting that was loud enough so we could chat comfortable without people overhearing. The waitress recommended my choices and was a great help. The food was delicious!!! We sat in silence after the first bites because we were stunned! So glad this is close to our house because we will be back! I'm so glad we made the reservation.

We went for restaurant week, so it was busy. Overall, it was a great experience. All staff we interacted with were friendly and professional. The food was phenomenal! Started with the pork belly with chow-chow (a type of sauerkraut from the south), then for an entrée I had the short rib (excellent flavors) and my partner had the cassoulet. Finally, dessert! I had the sweet potato donuts, which were good, but my partner had the candy bar. The candy bar is made in house and just incredible! Since it was restaurant week, this was very affordable, but we would return for special occasions.

The owner, Nick, was a congenial and welcoming host and recommended a great bottle of wine. He set the tone for a personal and very satisfying experience. Our server was so convincing when describing the evening's tasting menu, that we couldn't resist. What an outstanding and impeccable meal. The pork jowl was a favorite, as were the scallops and sweet potato doughnut. Throughout the meal, the components were thoughtful, bright and expressive. A new favorite.

The space is relatively small, and the floors and ceiling are concrete, so it's like being in a tin can with one person yelling. It was so loud, none of us at our table of four could even hear each other. Our server provided a ton of information about the tasting menu, and then pretty much all but disappeared for the rest of the night. We were celebrating two birthdays and I can't think of a worse place to do it. The food, however, was inventive and delicious.

Small restaurant, big flavors. Went there for my birthday and everything was outstanding. Had to wait a little for our reservation, but only because other patrons were enjoying themselves so much they lingered over the end of their dinner. We had a pork belly appetizer that lived up to the award it apparently received as the best new dish, mushroom soup, and duck breast and crispy curried cauliflower entrees. We shared everything, and it was hard to decide what to leave for the lingering last taste. Great combinations of flavors everywhere. The chocolate dessert was also wonderful -- an unusual but very successful combination of textures and flavors. The service was great, including great recommendations on wine.

The service was excellent, server was very helpful in pointing us in the right direction and answering any questions that we had. The food itself was great! As the menu rotates with the season, it's not worth mentioning any specific meal, but the starter and both entrees were all wonderful. We arrived at 5:15pm, a bit early for our 5:30 reservation, and were able to be seated right away. The place stayed quiet for a good while and finally the people started to pack in. Overall a good place - I'd go back!

We shared a lovely bottle of wine, per his recommendation, and the food was delicious! We sat outside on the patio and everyone was very attentive. The timing of the courses was perfect as well. Their were great vegetarian/pescetarian options for my friend and I enjoyed a wonderful seasonal wild mushroom bisque, beautiful salad and ricotta gnocchi! She had the salmon which was delightful. My wife and I really enjoyed the new location of this neighborhood gem! The service was spot on, with our food coming out unbelievably fast and still top notch quality. The Alaskan salmon entree was perfectly balanced with earthy and sweet flavors the complimented a very nicely cooked piece of fish. The heirloom tomato salad was a perfect summer appetizer and the crispy duck is everything you'd ever want in a fall menu. We enjoyed the mix of seasons available to us at this transition period in our MN summer. The lamb ragu was a bit to spicy for my taste, but the plate was still left clean... Thanks for a great night out!

The décor was spare and interesting, with the silver platters on the wall. The server was friendly and very efficient, but seemed to be overworked. The food was not only incredibly delicious, but imaginative and beautiful. The wine pairings with the 5-course tasting menu were very good, especially the apricot-nosed "The Prince in His Caves." It was a fabulous meal featuring many types of fresh mushrooms. We loved the crisp cauliflower with beluga lentils (even more than the Alaskan salmon) as a main course. My only complaint is that I could barely hear our friends (and we were at a small table) due to the extreme noise level (my friends all said the same - we are middle aged, in case anyone is wondering).
