A word from Corner Kitchen
Tucked into a quiet corner of Biltmore Village is one of Richard Sharp Smith's original Tudor Style cottages, and one of Asheville's most surprising restaurants. Chef Joe Scully brings years of culinary experience to bear in his special North Carolina take on Pan-American cuisine (he calls it "Caromerican"), while host Kevin Westmoreland makes you feel as welcome as an old friend at breakfast, lunch or dinner.

Dine in the sunny “Side Porch”, where tables cluster around a generous bar, or in one of the cozy fireplace rooms - upstairs or down. When the weather's right, relax on the Patio and take in the singular beauty of Historic Biltmore Village. If you are looking for the perfect spot for your next meeting, luncheon or other group function, call or email and make arrangements for an unforgettably great special event.

Probably the best piece of fish (Pecan crusted Mountain Trout) that I've EVER had - period. Every bite was as delicious as the first. Their cocktails are generous and reasonably priced. Would love to come again next time I'm in Asheville.

I highly recommend Peppered N Y Strip Over Gas Station Fries with Honey Glazed Brussel Sprouts and Roasted Beets. Wow, what a great tasting entrée. I guess you don't have a go to a steak restaurant for a steak. Order the bread pudding; better than anywhere in New Orleans!

The Corner Kitchen staff is focused on great service. We have been to CK several times. Every time, it is fantastic. We had several small plates that were wonderful. For entrees all consistently innovative both in taste and presentation thanks to Chef Josh Weeks. The wine list and cocktail were right on target. I highly recommend this restaurant. Reservations are needed. Glad I had one. Been here about 10 times over the last few years, never disappointed. The braised short ribs on the menu now are awesome. One of the best meals I have ever had, anywhere, at any price. My wife had the pecan crusted trout fillet and said it was delicious and not a heavy meal. The service is excellent by a competent, friendly wait staff. I look forward to my next trip which will include an evening at the Corner Kitchen.

We met some folks in a wine shop a hundred miles away who highly recommended having dinner at Corner Kitchen once they learned we were headed to Asheville. We weren't able to get in that evening but we waited until the following evening and it was WELL worth the effort to come the following evening. Everything that all 4 of us ordered was the best it could have been. Presentation was wonderful, food was delicious and our waiter was outstanding! He was particularly knowledgeable about gluten-free options which was important to one person in our group.

Enjoyed our visit to the Corner Kitchen. Our server was excellent, which made up for the longer than expected meal prep time. I had the NC Flounder, which was excellent. My wife had the steak, and even after stressing she liked it well done, still got something less than well done. Anyway, we enjoyed our visit and will come again....

The food was delicious but too pricey. We ordered a goat cheese appetizer that was $12 and got 3 tiny slices of bread. They were delicious, but we over priced. We didn't have any drinks...appetizer, dinner for two and dessert was $93. So, go when it is a special occassion.

Atmosphere was wonderful--as was the food. Because one of the people in my party deals with hearing loss, I asked for a table where we would most likely have quieter surroundings. At first, everything was fine. But shortly after we arrived, a party of six sat at a table across from us--a group of older people who were celebrating a birthday. From that point on, my hearing-challenged friend was struggling to hear what was being said at our table. I realize this may be a next-to-impossible issue to address, but it seemed worth mentioning.

The Corner Kitchen is one of our favorite spots in the Ashville area. We have a 2nd home in Montreat and will without fail be at the Corner Kitchen at least once if not more over a three day weekend. We love lunch and all the great items you offer. Sunday lunch will be your fried chicken, greens and grits. We really don't need a menu as we are creatures of habit and know what we want. On the other hand we will try other items from the menu which have always be wonderful. It is a great experience for us and the family which makes the trip to Montreat that much more enjoyable. We are so pleased and glad you all are there.

This is maybe the 6th or 7th time we have eaten there on our trips to Asheville, and it never disappoints. It has now also become our friends' favorite place and they will always make sure we have reservations when we are all in town. The flounder was the best this time, with the stuffed chicken a close second. The meatloaf was a little tough and hard to chew like a piece of steak, but the sides make it more enjoyable. We have ordered it before and did not notice this problem. Steven, our waiter, was great!

My family dined here early on a busy Friday night, and enjoyed the experience. It was the second visit for us, and we were glad we returned. The flounder was especially delicious, and the wine selection very good. I like oaky, California Chardonnays, and I had plenty of choice. The server was great. We were pleased that we arrived early, around 5:15, so that the noise level was moderate, and the ambience was pleasant. We will look forward to returning when we next visit Asheville.

My daughter and I had lunch at Corner Kitchen on a college-tour day. We were seated upstairs by the fireplace which was perfect for the day. The artwork on the walls was a nice conversation piece to discuss and choose our favorites. The service was prompt and lovely. Not being adventurous, my daughter chose the burger and homemade veggie chips and cleared her plate. I had the Pumpkin Soup with Salad that was served with a small cheese selection, pesto baguette and pistachio pate' - all was excellent! I will look forward to a return visit

We made a stop in Asheville to eat here again. Very consistent over a two year time frame...friends also love it. The menu changes daily. The $4.00 bread basket is wonderful. We were not here for breakfast this year but LOVE the spinach salad with a fried egg in it. I make regularly at home now. My husband had the mackerel and I had a chicken dish that was rolled around salami and olives. Both were great.

We went to Corner Kitchen on the recommendation of our Innkeeper at the Reynolds Mansion. Unfortunately, we had eaten a big lunch earlier in the day so we weren't terribly hungry so our party of 3 only tried one entree. My dad had the trout, which was very good. I had corn and crab chowder and the sorbet for dessert. Both were excellent. Mom had bread pudding, which was also excellent.

Very popular restaurant for brunch so make reservations to avoid long wait times. Walk ins were quoted 45 minutes so having a reservation saved time. We asked for a few special modifications, which were received by our waiter with annoyance. Although we asked for no cheese and onions on 1 of the entrees, both were put on the dish. We also were unable to get hard boiled eggs even though the menu said eggs any style. The server said it was impossible to get hard boiled eggs and when this was questioned (because of the easiness to hard boil eggs), the waiter replied that he just said it was not possible. Perhaps because I am in the hospitality industry, I thought his approach to special requests were perhaps not appropriate.
