A word from Corner Kitchen
Tucked into a quiet corner of Biltmore Village is one of Richard Sharp Smith's original Tudor Style cottages, and one of Asheville's most surprising restaurants. Chef Joe Scully brings years of culinary experience to bear in his special North Carolina take on Pan-American cuisine (he calls it "Caromerican"), while host Kevin Westmoreland makes you feel as welcome as an old friend at breakfast, lunch or dinner.

Dine in the sunny “Side Porch”, where tables cluster around a generous bar, or in one of the cozy fireplace rooms - upstairs or down. When the weather's right, relax on the Patio and take in the singular beauty of Historic Biltmore Village. If you are looking for the perfect spot for your next meeting, luncheon or other group function, call or email and make arrangements for an unforgettably great special event.

Diner Reviews
  • "The Corner Table in Asheville ranks as one of the best in my dining experiences! Enjoying lunch in pleasant ambience with attentive staff and a variety of delectable meal items in such a scenic location is a special treat when I travel to/through the area. The location lends itself to a leisurely walk following the meal and a visit to the top-notch shops."

  • "Lost to most of asheville because it's tucked away in biltmore village, this kitchen really has it going on. Every dish I've tried has been completely on point, and the service is always friendly and prompt."

  • "My friends had a terrific dinner here while visiting Asheville. There was a 15 minute delay for our reservation so the manager comped our dessert. The food was excellent as was the service and the soufflé dessert was to die for."

  • "The Corner Kitchen is in an old house on a corner in Biltmore Village. The atmosphere is informal and funky, the food is well-prepared and creative. We were pleased with the grouper with roasted potatoes and cucmber-fennel salad and pecan-crusted local trout with mashed sweet potatoes and green bean salad. We plan to go there again the next time we visit Biltmore Estate."

  • "Yes -- the food was good, the service was good but neither were up to par with previous visits. The bathroom was dirty and there were flies in the dining room."

  • "Open table would only allow us to make reservations for 4 people max, so my family ended up making two separate reservations. One for two and one for four. We called the restuarant to ask that we be near each other in the restuarant but were fine with separate tables. Once we got there they were very accomodating and sat us all together. They started off our meal with a chicken salad sampler which was excellent. The food overall was great and they were nice to accomodate substitutions with no problems. Our waiter was excellent and always on top of things. I would definitely go back."

  • "Corner Kitchen never disappoints. Food is good and well presented, staff provide superb service and I'm always happy when I leave. My husband had a specific meal in mind that did not appear on the menu, he mentioned this to our server who immediately made it happen. So, you can't go wrong here."

  • "Soup served shortly after drinks arrived and entree (which was tepid) arrived a minute or two after (wanted time for relaxed drinks). Service spotty and non attentive. Staff hurried us through dining experience. From being seated to leaving was 38 minutes."

  • "Cornerstone is a superb restaurant and offers a delectable menu for everyone to indulge."

  • "Food was very good but the table for two was quite small and crowded for the dishes for two people plus drinks. Servers and guests going back and forth on each side of the table was distracting. Aside from the crowded feeling, it was a delightful lunch."

  • "We stayed in a great little chalet in Asheville and had a gift certificate for Corner Kitchen. We decided to go for my 65th birthday and it was the best!! Quaint little house in the Biltmore area that has AMAZING food. I had the whole grilled snapper and my husband had the chicken breast stuffed with prosciutto. Absolutely a home run on both. It was great! We both enjoy beer, and were a little disappointed that they didn't have beer on tap but they did have a great selection of local beers and we were quite happy. We will definitely return for another meal when we are in Asheville next time. A real jewel and we are so happy we found it."

  • "We ate here on our 2013 visit to Asheville, and this year we are staying in walking distance so we've already had brunch (yum) and dinner (yum). Don't really have anything negative to say. The food is delicious and very consistent. I had the pecan crusted trout, sweet potatoes and green beans and everything was perfect. Definitely one of my favorite restaurants in Asheville, and it is always busy that's for sure!"

  • "One of the top restaurants in Asheville...well worth the trip. All of the dishes were great, but I particularly enjoyed the Gazpacho - outstanding for any restaurant but particularly for an American one. We put photos of our meal on Facebook, to great acclaim - from Miami and even from France!"

  • "We had brunch/lunch Sunday (4 family members) and were somewhat disappointed. Our server was having a bad day. 2 of our party had chicken which was greasy. The server mixed up our bills and had to change them 3 times. The visit was not up to their usual standard."

  • "The restaurant is set in a charming bold house that is restored and decorated with local artwork. The staff is friendly, knowledgeable ANC prompt. The real star, however is the excellent food on the always updating menu. Save room for bread pudding!"

  • "They seated us as soon as our party arrived but the service was slow and the upstairs room were seated in was so noisy it was hard to enjoy the meal. They are very busy for lunch and I am sure dinner . We liked the food but I would choose a quieter place for my lunch with relatives."

  • "It seems like a nice place just to have breakfast. Surprisingly, the evening meals are what you would expect from a fine dining restaurant. The area reminds you of a upscale neighborhood on a quaint street. The food selection is very good, fresh and well prepared. I highly recommend them."

  • "Made a reservation and found ourselves in the back of the breakfast area, under a dripping air conditioner and next to the pathway to the kitchen. Outside of the location of the table it was good. Everyone of the diners frequents the restaurant so we know it can be much better."

  • "For the second year in a row, we met up with old friends at the Corner Kitchen for breakfast and conversation -- a very long conversation. Three hours, in fact. The staff was patient with our long stay, never once bothering us after they had cleared the table of the dishes. Not every restaurant is this tolerant and we appreciate it, very much. The food was delicious and so was the morning with friends."

  • "Since discovering Corner Kitchen a few years ago it has become a must go destination when we come to Asheville. Always a great meal. Never the same old same old as the menus changes all the time and there are new flavors to savor each time. This time I had a grilled pork chop with habernero bbq glaze. Was a little worried it would be too spicy and too overpowering but, that was not the case. The heat was just enough to break-up the sweet of the bbq sauce and the savory pork. Then it was coupled with julienne apple, earthy green beans and rosemary sweet potato cubes, to create a perfect balance of flavors and textures to make a wonderful meal. Can't wait for our next trip."
