Corner KitchenVery good experienceThis was my 4th or 5th time having dinner at CK. Our server was excellent. He was attentive, but not intrusive. The food was very good. My BBQ pork chop was flavorful and cooked perfectly, although it was chewy. Loved the corn pudding with peach relish and Swiss Chard. Our dessert was the daily mousse, which was white chocolate with grand marnier and served with creme fraish and caramel sauces. I had asked for a nice table on our reservation and although they were unable to give us the original table that was reserved, they still made sure we had a great seat. The food was impeccable! Every bite was simply amazing. We loved the oldies music playing in the background and had a very nice dinner. Our waiter was attentive without hovering. We all enjoyed the Brie and the calamari appetizers. I particularly recommend the three meat meatloaf (with the best collard greens!) and the trout. We topped our meal off with the lemon basil creme brulee (terriffic flavor combination).

She was really interested in trying out some really great restaurants in Asheville and we chose Corner Kitchen on a whim. We were both thrilled with our food choices. Beautifully prepared and presented, not only were we delighted by the quality of the food but we kept seeing other plates go by our table for other patrons, promising ourselves that we would have to try those foods on our next visit. I can anticipate bringing all my out-of-town guests here for at least one meal, possibly more. We enjoyed every minute of our meal. The service is attentive, courteous and knowledgable... the food was way above average with options that apparently change weekly. Plating was lovely. I had the arugula salad and trout...superb, as was my husband's crab corn chowder and beef tenderloin. He talked about it all the way back to Waynesville! Only thing missing...our kids were not there with us to celebrate!

Gluten free options were very limited, but what I eventually received was tasty. Others in the group rated their food adequate to good, not quite what we had anticipated based on reviews on the web.
