A word from Corner Kitchen
Tucked into a quiet corner of Biltmore Village is one of Richard Sharp Smith's original Tudor Style cottages, and one of Asheville's most surprising restaurants. Chef Joe Scully brings years of culinary experience to bear in his special North Carolina take on Pan-American cuisine (he calls it "Caromerican"), while host Kevin Westmoreland makes you feel as welcome as an old friend at breakfast, lunch or dinner.

Dine in the sunny “Side Porch”, where tables cluster around a generous bar, or in one of the cozy fireplace rooms - upstairs or down. When the weather's right, relax on the Patio and take in the singular beauty of Historic Biltmore Village. If you are looking for the perfect spot for your next meeting, luncheon or other group function, call or email and make arrangements for an unforgettably great special event.

Diner Reviews
  • "I had the cornmeal dusted flounder, it was fresh, cooked to perfection and delicious....never a disappointment at the Corner!"

  • "For the second year in a row, we met up with old friends at the Corner Kitchen for breakfast and conversation -- a very long conversation. Three hours, in fact. The staff was patient with our long stay, never once bothering us after they had cleared the table of the dishes. Not every restaurant is this tolerant and we appreciate it, very much. The food was delicious and so was the morning with friends."

  • "Made a reservation and found ourselves in the back of the breakfast area, under a dripping air conditioner and next to the pathway to the kitchen. Outside of the location of the table it was good. Everyone of the diners frequents the restaurant so we know it can be much better."

  • "It seems like a nice place just to have breakfast. Surprisingly, the evening meals are what you would expect from a fine dining restaurant. The area reminds you of a upscale neighborhood on a quaint street. The food selection is very good, fresh and well prepared. I highly recommend them."

  • "My wife and I dined with another couple over the 4th of July weeekend at the Corner Kitchen. We were very pleased with the level of service and the qualithy of food. All the dishes arived toi the table at the proper atention and the server was able to make good recommendations. The cheesecake was wonderful! We will certainly be backe for an encore!"

  • "In the heart of Biltmore Village a jewel of a restaurant with fine tasting steaks and fish. Excellent choice a bit prcey but definitely worth it"

  • "Since discovering Corner Kitchen a few years ago it has become a must go destination when we come to Asheville. Always a great meal. Never the same old same old as the menus changes all the time and there are new flavors to savor each time. This time I had a grilled pork chop with habernero bbq glaze. Was a little worried it would be too spicy and too overpowering but, that was not the case. The heat was just enough to break-up the sweet of the bbq sauce and the savory pork. Then it was coupled with julienne apple, earthy green beans and rosemary sweet potato cubes, to create a perfect balance of flavors and textures to make a wonderful meal. Can't wait for our next trip."

  • "The food is outstanding! We always make the effort to stop when we visit Asheville. Plenty of fun little shops to pass the time while you wait for your table. The outdoor dining is worth the extra few minutes of waiting too."

  • "A wonderful place to celebrate our anniversary. Excellent food and excellent service"

  • "Everything was great as usual. This souffle was outstanding as expected. My only complaint, is that I had the shrimp and I felt there could have been more for the price."

  • "Second time visiting Corner Kitchen and it was just as good as the first. Reservations help a lot as there can be a wait, but the food is worth it."

  • "We enjoyed our dinner at Corner Kitchen. We all had wonderful fish dishes - the waiter's suggestion included along with our other choices - and appreciated the 1/2 price bottle of wine!"

  • "The food was delicious, from appetizers to the entree. The waiter knowledgeable about the menu and the local area. The waiter was also very attentive without being too annoying. My only quibble was the dessert the creme brûlée and cheese cake we had were not quite up to snuff."

  • "It was our first time to Asheville and we were staying at a nearby hotel. Corner Kitchen is located in Biltmore Village and was walking distance from our hotel. Fantastic describes the service we received from Lauren and the food! It was so good we returned the next morning for breakfast and the restaurant was filled up by 8:00! I highly recommend the restaurant for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Next time we are in town we will be returning."

  • "Had breakfast at Corner Kitchen with wife and 2 teenage boys before visit to Biltmore. 2nd time there, wife and I had breakfasted before Biltmore visit a couple of years ago. Outstanding food, outstanding and attentive service, outstanding atmosphere, saying anything more would be extraneous. Hope to get back there again some time!"

  • "Every time I'm in Asheville I make sure to have at least one meal here. It has become one of my favorite restaurants. The menu has a great variety of tasty food, one of my favorites being the Roasted Portobello Sandwich. Brunch, lunch, or dinner, this is the place for delicious food and relaxing and pleasant ambience."

  • "I have eaten here twice. Both impressions were the food was a bit salty, over seasoned and overpriced. I have mixed reviews on my dishes. Gazpacho was excellent. Swordfish app cooked perfectly but ceasar salad tiny and limp with more croutons than greens. Pork chop was dry and overcooked but accompanying vegetables, though salty and heavily seasoned, were good. We had reservations and were taken to our table promptly. Service was excellent and the overall ambiance is great. Outdoor dining looked like a nice setting. My companion had a better meal and I saw several lovely dishes go by our table. Maybe I hit that particular dish on a bad night, I will try them one more time."

  • "We were enjoying my wife's 80th birthday in the front room when a very loud and noisy group of 4 in an adjoining table made their presence known too well. The food was excellent, but it was ruined by this noisy group"

  • "We usually schedule our trips through Asheville so we are able to dine here for lunch. This time we're actually visiting Asheville so we are here for dinner. Same great food; same great service. It was wine night so we had a bottle of Pascual Toso for half price. We both started with soup. My wife had the Gazpacho and I had a chilled curry carrot soup; both were very good. My wife had the lamb chops and I had the three meat meat loaf. Both were excellent. We will be back."

  • "We have enjoyed dining here before but had never been on Sunday. The menu was surprisingly limited and the food was only ho hum. Will not be back for Sunday brunch. Seated in an upstairs room with a very noisy 2 year old. Was nice after they left! Very good service."

  • "Great food for breakfast. I love the scrambled eggs with cream cheese and my hubby loves the corned beef hash."

  • "I was planning to meet family in Asheville for dinner and researched restaurants online. As none of us lived there we were not familiar with any restaurants. Being a veteran of food and beverage in Charleston SC for over 15 years it was up to me to pick where to go. I picked the Corner Kitchen solely on their intriguing menu I read online. Anyone can write a nice sounding menu. The chef and kitchen staff at this restaurant not only put it together on paper they put it together on your plate!! Following the prerequisite Southern farm to table trend our table also had dishes representing Thai, Moroccan, and Meditteranean influences. The combination of diverse offerings was refreshing and every dish was impeccably prepared and presented!"

  • "We tried Corner Kitchen for Saturday brunch. Set in a cute house, the dining areas are somewhat crowded, but it feeds into the energetic vibe. Good menu variety, and our server was able to guide us through making selections. Perfectly sized portions. Delicious food. My husband said it was the best reuben he had eaten in years. My scrambled eggs were fluffy and perfectly cooked. Friendly staff. Overall really enjoyable experience."

  • "We have dined here several times in the past but were disappointed this time. Food was good (not great) and overpriced compared to other restaurants in the area. The service was mediocre. Asheville has better restaurants in town for the same price point."
