A word from Corner Kitchen
Tucked into a quiet corner of Biltmore Village is one of Richard Sharp Smith's original Tudor Style cottages, and one of Asheville's most surprising restaurants. Chef Joe Scully brings years of culinary experience to bear in his special North Carolina take on Pan-American cuisine (he calls it "Caromerican"), while host Kevin Westmoreland makes you feel as welcome as an old friend at breakfast, lunch or dinner.

Dine in the sunny “Side Porch”, where tables cluster around a generous bar, or in one of the cozy fireplace rooms - upstairs or down. When the weather's right, relax on the Patio and take in the singular beauty of Historic Biltmore Village. If you are looking for the perfect spot for your next meeting, luncheon or other group function, call or email and make arrangements for an unforgettably great special event.

We made a stop in Asheville to eat here again. Very consistent over a two year time frame...friends also love it. The menu changes daily. The $4.00 bread basket is wonderful. We were not here for breakfast this year but LOVE the spinach salad with a fried egg in it. I make regularly at home now. My husband had the mackerel and I had a chicken dish that was rolled around salami and olives. Both were great.

We went to Corner Kitchen on the recommendation of our Innkeeper at the Reynolds Mansion. Unfortunately, we had eaten a big lunch earlier in the day so we weren't terribly hungry so our party of 3 only tried one entree. My dad had the trout, which was very good. I had corn and crab chowder and the sorbet for dessert. Both were excellent. Mom had bread pudding, which was also excellent.

We were looking to stay close to Biltmore Village and Corner Kitchen came recommended. The food was really good, we both had a fish dish. We felt the restaurant was over packed and understaffed but did get our food in a timely manner, the waitresses were just a little stressed but still pleasant!

Very popular restaurant for brunch so make reservations to avoid long wait times. Walk ins were quoted 45 minutes so having a reservation saved time. We asked for a few special modifications, which were received by our waiter with annoyance. Although we asked for no cheese and onions on 1 of the entrees, both were put on the dish. We also were unable to get hard boiled eggs even though the menu said eggs any style. The server said it was impossible to get hard boiled eggs and when this was questioned (because of the easiness to hard boil eggs), the waiter replied that he just said it was not possible. Perhaps because I am in the hospitality industry, I thought his approach to special requests were perhaps not appropriate.

I opted for the fluffy omelet. He opted for chorizo, rosemary potatoes & scrambled eggs. The buttermilk biscuits melted in your mouth. We covered them with homemade preserves. Relaxing enjoyable dining experience in one of the homes built by George Vanderbilt in Biltmore village.

This restaurant is an excellent choice in downtown Asheville. Very good selection of appetizers and desserts in addition to a fine selection of entrees. Even the cocktails are offered in a a unique way and made perfectly. Outside dining is available. Service was excellent. Have dined throughout the world and would certainly give this restaurant a top notch rating in a casual setting. Noted that a future date included a excellent wine/dinner opportunity.

Corner Kitchen had come highly recommended as a choice for our recent weekend in Asheville. It is in the lovely little (newish) neighborhood of Biltmore Village. The staff was friendly and welcoming. The calamari appetizer we shared was a disappointment. The calamari came to the table pale, bland, over breaded, and tasteless. The rest of the meal was a big improvement. Two of us had the fettuccine with lobster and sausage. The sauce was wonderful and everything was cooked just right. My husband ordered the walnut sage grilled swordfish with crispy kale. The fish was moist and firm. The kale was delicious. The chorizo stuffed chicken was the hit of the night. Moist and delicious. Only the calamari lowered our rating.

went here last Sunday for brunch and had a great mean. The eggs benedict were very good but my wife had the fried chicken and the breading was very thick and greasy. Once it hit noon we joined others and had a mimosa/bloody mary. Both were very good and great value for the price. Also overall good service but we sat at the bar and got a little tired of hearing the drama coming from the staff.

Could not get dinner reservations so made this our breakfast choice before we headed out of town. Absolutely delicious! The Bennnies, Waffle, and Homemade Corned Beef Hash were prepared perfectly. Our waitress was happy to be there and our service was prompt. Very enjoyable. We had a 9am reservation and so glad we did as there was a line at the door when they opened and many were put on a list so the we could be seated. Had dinner there on another trip in town and will definitely make reservations well in advance.

Once seated, our waiter, did not greet us but stated they were out of meatloaf. We had to ask for water and were offered no other drinks. I requested a straw of which was brought to the table with his fingers where my lips would go and tossed aggressively into the glass. Gross. I asked about a specialty cocktail and he shrugged and said "it was ok." We debated leaving but it was 9pm and we had dined here many times previous and consider it an Asheville favorite of ours. We went downstairs and asked the waiter for another table and another server. No questions were asked and we were then sat with another young man who did a much better job. We were never approached by a manager or asked why. I certainly hope this was an isolated incident.

Overall, cute restaurant, but dinner was in bedroom of old house, which was interesting, but nice. Food was great, and with it's popularity, it's probably a safe bet you'll always have a good tasting meal. Server (I know this may not represent all servers) was very rude, and made you feel like you couldn't eat fast enough.

we found Corner Kitchen to be exactly what we had experienced in the past and a bit more. Great food, great service in a great location. The noise level was a bit high for my old ears. But very tolerable. Our server was excellent. We had the meatloaf and the trout, to staples of the menu. Not at all disappointed. The cheesecake was outstanding, worth the trip alone.

We hesitated coming here because I'm a plant-based, no oil eater and their menu is limited. I always indicate this when I make an Open Table reservation. Our server, MacKenzie (adorable) was ALL OVER IT!! She didn't bat an eye when I asked about getting the Village Green salad with just balsamic vinegar and some steamed veggies. Yay! The flavors were great and the trout that my husband had was outstanding (so he tells me!) Great food, great wine and our server made the experience outstanding.

We have enjoyed breakfast and brunch here several times and dinner one other time. When I went to make reservations for our Anniversary dinner, I knew I wanted to try Corner Kitchen for dinner again because the food was absolutely wonderful the last time we had dinner there. We were not disappointed. The food was really, really good. I am not an expert, but I can say that I liked the dish that I chose very much and my husband did as well. The service was also excellent. Our server was knowledgeable about the menu and able to answer all of our questions and my water glass was never less than half full. The atmosphere is not romantic but it is cozy and friendly. If you come to Asheville, it is definitely worth trying Corner Kitchen.

I think had I been an egg eater, I would have enjoyed my breakfast more. They have a lot of interesting egg dishes and unusual combinations on the menu but the "other items" pancake/waffle portion of the menu was very un-interesting in comparison. I was hoping for multigrain pancakes or waffles with nuts, fruit. Whipped something but I ordered the waffle and it was just a plain ole waffle. For me it was ok, but the place was quite busy and I'm sure very popular.
