A word from Corner Kitchen
Tucked into a quiet corner of Biltmore Village is one of Richard Sharp Smith's original Tudor Style cottages, and one of Asheville's most surprising restaurants. Chef Joe Scully brings years of culinary experience to bear in his special North Carolina take on Pan-American cuisine (he calls it "Caromerican"), while host Kevin Westmoreland makes you feel as welcome as an old friend at breakfast, lunch or dinner.

Dine in the sunny “Side Porch”, where tables cluster around a generous bar, or in one of the cozy fireplace rooms - upstairs or down. When the weather's right, relax on the Patio and take in the singular beauty of Historic Biltmore Village. If you are looking for the perfect spot for your next meeting, luncheon or other group function, call or email and make arrangements for an unforgettably great special event.

Diner Reviews
  • "Always enjoy their ever-changing menu. My friend had the pork chop; she said it was one of the best she's ever eaten. My arugula salad was so fresh, very good."

  • "Our food was really tasty, service kind and personal, however we waited a lot longer than I expected for our appetizer (soup and shrimp) over 30 minutes and the restaurant was steady but not full. All our food was seasoned well, arrived hot, and we were made to feel special and appreciated as customers."

  • "Service (getting our entrees) was quite slow, fly took a header in a drink and waiter poured water in a 1/2 glass of cider. The vegetarian option on the dinner menu was not that great - lacked flavor."

  • "Their use of local produce is wonderful. Squash noodles with local mushrooms and tomatoes is a must try. I love this restaurant."

  • "Excellent little spot for a quiet breakfast. Food and service were excellent. Even though it was in the busy crowded Biltmore area it had a peaceful neighborhood feel."

  • "I wanted a Reuben, but a vegetarian version. I was served the most wonderfully delicious portobello Reuben. Wish I had one right now. The food is always great."
    Dined on 8/12/2014
  • "For breakfast, we had the corned beef hash with poached eggs and the daily special, beef brisket hash with poached eggs- both were so delicious! The coffee was consistently refilled without our needing to ask and was very good as well. The host and waiter were very friendly and welcoming. We'd definitely go back again when in the Asheville area."

  • "A terrific find for us-reasonable prices, a small but varied wine list, good service-will definitely return."
    Dined on 8/10/2014
  • "All the hype and I was seriously letdown. Food was blah at best, the potatoes were the only good thing. Over hyped and overpriced."

  • "One of the best in Asheville. Friendly and knowledgable service, creative menu, fair prices, great location walking distance to lots of other interesting shops."

  • "We were visiting Asheville for a wedding when we dined at the Corner Kitchen. Our server made great recommendations and each proved to be totally amazing. Starting with cocktails - The Heatwave - which was extraordinary, we proceeded to our entrees - My husband had the meatloaf and I, the pork chop - each full of flavors, each to be savored. The owner visited our table to greet us and was so friendly. He and our server were both attentive without being obtrusive. We inquired about the cocktail recipe for an upcoming getaway with friends where each couple brings a new cocktail to share. Before we departed, our waiter brought us the complete recipe. We only wish the Corner Kitchen was in Atlanta....It would be a favorite!"

  • "The Corner Kitchen was our first and best meal in Asheville NC. We had dinner. Great service and delicious food. We had other very good meals in Asheville but Corner Kitchen was exceptional."

  • "Corner Kitchen has been on our list of places to try for sometime and we finally managed to get there on Monday evening. We had no expectations except what we have heard from others. The evening was wonderful, the drinks perfect and the food exceptional. They know what they are doing!"

  • "A nice casual place. The food was good and the service was great."

  • "So I've been hearing really good things from this restaurant so I decided to have a date night here. The restaurant seemed nicer on the outside. You walk in and it's very plain white decor. I ordered the salmon with "udon" noodles. My salmon barely had any sauce on it so it was mostly dry. And the "udon" was, let's be real here, linguini noodles with some sort of weird peanut butter sauce on it. It was not good. Shame."

  • "The food was fabulous - from start to finish. The trout and the scallops were delicious! The atmosphere is very casual."

  • "As usual, they do not disappoint at CK. Food was great, and it is still my top choice in Asheville!"

  • "Our party of 4 THOROUGHLY enjoyed our breakfast for two days in a row. We made our reservation thru OpenTable for 9:15am, and on both days, we walked in and sat right down. Service was excellent as well as the food. On the first day, I had trout & poached eggs with grits, and they were prepared perfectly. Poached eggs are not always prepared right, but the Corner Kitchen not only makes poached eggs perfectly, but makes a perfect bloody mary to go with it!!! Then we headed off to the Biltmore Estate for a tour and an evening concert on the adjacent patio. So we made another reservation for the next day - and it was another great experience. I highly recommend the Corner Kitchen."

  • "Our friends were in the high end restaurant business and are very picky. They were impressed with Corner Kitchen on every level!"

  • "We love Corner Kitchen and have breakfast here regularly when traveling to Asheville. Of particular note are their grits - creamiest I've ever had anywhere... Their take on a 'Belgian' waffle is equally pleasing. We also enjoyed lunch here during this trip - one club sandwich is big enough to share. Then, there is more room for dessert! A Biltmore gem!"

  • "Ordered the grouper & chicken breast. The grouper portion was very small & dry. The chicken was a little better. The presentation for both was good. We have been to this restaurant before & never had any problems with either the food or service. In retrospect, I should have sent the fish back. But I didn't. So it was my fault."

  • "The food was delicious! We had reservations and I'm so glad we did because there was a long wait. But it would have been worth a wait."

  • "The Corner Table in Asheville ranks as one of the best in my dining experiences! Enjoying lunch in pleasant ambience with attentive staff and a variety of delectable meal items in such a scenic location is a special treat when I travel to/through the area. The location lends itself to a leisurely walk following the meal and a visit to the top-notch shops."

  • "Lost to most of asheville because it's tucked away in biltmore village, this kitchen really has it going on. Every dish I've tried has been completely on point, and the service is always friendly and prompt."

  • "My friends had a terrific dinner here while visiting Asheville. There was a 15 minute delay for our reservation so the manager comped our dessert. The food was excellent as was the service and the soufflé dessert was to die for."
    Dined on 7/22/2014
  • "The Corner Kitchen is in an old house on a corner in Biltmore Village. The atmosphere is informal and funky, the food is well-prepared and creative. We were pleased with the grouper with roasted potatoes and cucmber-fennel salad and pecan-crusted local trout with mashed sweet potatoes and green bean salad. We plan to go there again the next time we visit Biltmore Estate."

  • "Yes -- the food was good, the service was good but neither were up to par with previous visits. The bathroom was dirty and there were flies in the dining room."

  • "My wife and I go to Asheville once a year, accompanied by our two well behaved labs. Corner Kitchen went out of its way to open up a table on the patio for us. The dining experience was superb as usual. Salads were fantastic, as was the salmon and trout. We will be back again next year!"

  • "Open table would only allow us to make reservations for 4 people max, so my family ended up making two separate reservations. One for two and one for four. We called the restuarant to ask that we be near each other in the restuarant but were fine with separate tables. Once we got there they were very accomodating and sat us all together. They started off our meal with a chicken salad sampler which was excellent. The food overall was great and they were nice to accomodate substitutions with no problems. Our waiter was excellent and always on top of things. I would definitely go back."

  • "Corner Kitchen never disappoints. Food is good and well presented, staff provide superb service and I'm always happy when I leave. My husband had a specific meal in mind that did not appear on the menu, he mentioned this to our server who immediately made it happen. So, you can't go wrong here."

  • "Soup served shortly after drinks arrived and entree (which was tepid) arrived a minute or two after (wanted time for relaxed drinks). Service spotty and non attentive. Staff hurried us through dining experience. From being seated to leaving was 38 minutes."
