Being set in a house gives it that 'old world' atmosphere... Difficult to find places like this in trendy Toronto!
The service was outstanding and the food delicious!!
We went with the Winterlicious menu and it was difficult to decide on the many choices offered.
We will be back for sure!

This was by far our best experience. If it's on the menu, I have the black Angus striploin. This is by far the best steak I've ever had. It's so tender, you don't need a steak knife to cut it, as only a butter knife is provided. In all the years that my wife and I have gone, we've only had a great experience. Overall experience is always outstanding. It was exactly as I'd remembered - flawless.
Table of four. Service was outstanding - unrushed, friendly, funny, polite. Portion size was perfect. Left the restaurant exactly right amount of full - not *too* full but not needing another bite not hungry, just perfectly content. To be honest, I'd have had another bite if the plant hadn't been cleaned.
A very nice amuse bouche consisted of apple slaw with smoked salmon (I'm under-selling it here). We ordered the tuna sashimi, goat cheese and scallop with ham hock ravioli (one of the specials) appetizers and all were outstanding. Mains were venison, sea bass and filet and all were flawless.
