A word from Cork Tree Restaurant
Cork Tree Restaurant is built around California products. Local ingredients are used whenever possible and wines of the West Coast, particularly California, are featured.

The wine list is always a work in progress, with a balance of well known wineries, as well as boutique wineries.
> Cork Tree enhabits a style rich in California elegance. Large and round booths privately encased in wood and fabric provide intimate spaces for conversation and romance, while providing views of the understated glamor of the dining room. Trees and a natural cascading fountain make the Cork Tree Patio wind-protected and well-appointed for dining under the stars. Additionally, depending on the size of your celebration, two private dining options await.Continued

By the way, the scallops and the filet were very good. Prices are correct respect the quality and the service Great dessert !!"

  • "Our 2nd visit. Much better first time. Service excellent, House wine very good, reasonably priced. Ordered Salmon and Pork pork. Both good but too rich. Ordered from summer menu."

  • "My fiance made reservations for us to eat dinner Saturday night. we were seated promptly and had excellent service all night. they served us each with one piece of cranberry walnut bread and a piece of baquet with butter. both of our dinners were prepared to our liking. i had the salmon and he had the scallops. i did not care for the risotto, i thought it was a bit chewy. otherwise, the three soup sampler was amazing, he got the homemade mushroom, tomato and asparagus, all of which you could tell were freshly made. we had a bottle of Trios wine as the bottle we had ordered they did not have it. the service was great. we would return."

  • "I was blown away my first time but after 4 times of consistent, delicious, inventive dishes I'm over the moon. I haven't tried everything yet but working on it! Stand outs (so far) Kale Salad, Crab Cakes, Escargot, Soup Tasting Scallops, Sea Bass, Salmon, NY Steak, Duck. Awesome drinks, delicious Desserts. Great Wine List. And Something so rare in the Valley- Impeccable Service. Ask for Joe Deb, Carol, Rob, Greg. If you haven't dined at Cork Tree you are missing something special."

  • "My husband and I vacation often in Palm Desert, staying at Club Intrawest. Even though The Cork Tree has been there in the far corner of the Ralph's parking lot on every visit, we'd never tried it. Its outside appearance just doesn't appeal to us. I like to dress up a little for dinner out and The Cork Tree looked far too casual. But the inside is nothing like the outside. We ate here to celebrate our anniversary, and enjoyed a private booth, wonderful service, and terrific food. My husband's pork shank was tender (he touched it with his fork and the meat fell off the bone) and delicious (and perfectly complimented by the wine our server recommended). I enjoyed a petite filet with spinach alfredo. We'll definitely be back!"

  • "Only 1 criticism, and has nothing to do with the food or service, they allowed a diner in, who was wearing rubber flip flops, shorts and a tank top, who, for some reason, found it necessary to walk around the dining room at least three times. This is an upscale restaurant that should have a dress code or should uphold their dress code."

  • "The Cork Tree, as always excelled! Drinks were unusual (the bartender went out of his way to mull fresh raspberries for one drink, and cucumber for another); Food was excellent; and service was extremely attentive and pleasant."

  • "We visit this restaurant every time we are in Palm Desert and have never been disappointed. The food and service is always excellent. Their appetizers, salads and entrees are always very imaginative and delicious. We will continue to make this one of our favoritie places when in Palm Desert. "

  • "We spent Memorial Day weekend with some neighbors in Palm Springs and introduced them to our favorite restaurant in Palm Springs (technically Palm Desert), Cork Tree. We both had the soup trio (we nearly always have this as the soups are always very tasty). We all enjoyed our meals and hope to be back soon."

  • "I always recommend the Cork Tree for my self and my friends, when you want it all the environment the noise level, the wonderful menu and the very articulate service people who work there. Never hovering, not rushing you..its a wonderful fulfilling experience!! The Sea Bass is my all time favorite!!! "

  • "This is one of the very best restaurants in the desert. It has been a delight to enjoy and as a trained Cordon Bleu chef, I'd give the chef and the owner high praise. Will be back again and again. "

  • "The steak was excellent but 2 salmon entrees under cooked. It was quite noisy from adjoining booths. Great service and pleasant atmosphere."

  • "We only wished we had found The Cork Tree sooner than the last but one night of our vacation. We had been looking for a fine dining experience and found this lacking in the desert. We certainly found it at The Cork Tree! The whole experience was a breath of fresh air from steak and fries! The service was first class and the atmosphere was warm and friendly. The risotto and apple pie was the best we have tasted. We will certainly be visiting the next time we are on vacation."

  • "% of us went here for dinner to celebrate our son's graduation from grad school and my husband's 60th birthday. The atmosphere was delightful and the service was excellent. The food was very tasty and beautifully presented. It was a fun evening and a perfect for celebration. I highly recommend this restaurant for a celebratory dinner!"

  • "We had celebrated our anniversary 2 year at Cork Tree and realized we loved it & should so it again. We were seated in a booth that afforded us privacy but not isolation. Our server, Joe, was friendly, professional, very knowledgeable and very accommodating. His recommendation for a wine was perfect for us. We had the rack of lamb and rib-eye entrees. Both were beautifully plated and the taste of the meat and vegetables was delicious. You know the meal is wonderful when you relish eating it bite by bite to savor everything. We will return to try brunch, lunch , or the bar menu so that we can try other dishes."

  • "On the surface, this place is dressed up as a fine-dining establishment. Service was less than par. Not even a water refill or an offer of fresh pepper. We were six diners. One drink was spilled and brushed off by our waiter (he spilled it) and a server broke a wine glass that ended up all over a friend's skirt. When our waiter was asked to address the issue, we got attitude. Food was okay, but inconsistent. Two of us had the duck, ordered medium-rare. One came rare and the other medium."

  • "Very professional and gracious staff. The food was all prepared perfectly and the presentation made it even better. The number in our party changed several times leading up to our seating but the staff adapted and accommodated us cheerfully the whole time. The Cork Tree is the place to recommend to all who are looking for a delicious and fun dining experience!"

  • "The food was very good but I cannot say it was great. I did not care for the lobster mashed potates as it overwhelmed the veal chop I had. Desserts were great."

  • "A group of 4 of us had a fabulous dinner. The reviewers on Yelp were right. The 36 hour roasted pork shank was delicious. The kale salad special was outstanding. The scallop entree was excellent, as was the seared tuna with jicama slaw. The duck breast was a little too fatty. Servers were very attentive. "
