A word from Cork Tree Restaurant
Cork Tree Restaurant is built around California products. Local ingredients are used whenever possible and wines of the West Coast, particularly California, are featured.

The wine list is always a work in progress, with a balance of well known wineries, as well as boutique wineries.

Cork Tree enhabits a style rich in California elegance. Large and round booths privately encased in wood and fabric provide intimate spaces for conversation and romance, while providing views of the understated glamor of the dining room. Trees and a natural cascading fountain make the Cork Tree Patio wind-protected and well-appointed for dining under the stars. Additionally, depending on the size of your celebration, two private dining options await.

I was able to get a table on short notice at 8:15 for four adults. Upon arrival we were shown straight to our table, which had privacy panels on each side. The restaurant décor is modern and upscale, with subdued but adequate lighting. White linen tablecloths and formally dressed wait staff add to the class appearance. Our waiter, who we learned has been there almost a long as the restaurant, was friendly and polite and attentive. Plus points for offering to increase our appetizers to four instead of standard three. The whole meal was outstanding; 36-hour pork shank, lobster mac and cheese, Ahi entrée salad, and steak. Huge plus for upgrading wine selection at the same price when my choice was unavailable.

Everything from the host to the dessert was outstanding. The courses were well described and cooked to perfection. Our party had the Chilean Sea Bass, duck breast, and lamb chops. The setting was great and even though the place was packed, the noise level was low. I will definitely come back the next time I'm in the area.

The welcoming team at The CorkTree set the tone for the entire evening. We enjoyed a leisurely dining experience with a wonderful (and reasonably priced) Pinot Noir. The restaurant recently opened after their brief summer closure offering a revised menu. One of their classics, Chilean sea bass, was ordered and was excellent. The pork shank was amazing. The duck and risotto - an interesting balance of flavors - and the short ribs are also dishes we will order again and recommend. The food presentation is creative - and the portions are perfect.

We used to go to this restaurant all the time and haven't been for awhile. We had dinner on a Saturday night. The food never disappoints but the service was very disappointing. Our server may have had too many tables but there was no personal interaction and was clearly not interested in attention to any small details such as how was the meal, etc. performed her duties as though on auto pilot. Not sure this is where we go again. With the cost of this restaurant, I expect a higher level of service.

I'll cut to the chase - Salmon undercooked, chicken breast had some undercooked spots, purple carrot (beet?) was extremely tough to cut, crème brulee was virtually all topping & minimal custard/crème - why make them duos when you can make a normal size & deep enough version like most places do. wedge salads tasted fine, but barely had any dressing & minimal blue cheese crumbles.

My fiance made reservations for us to eat dinner Saturday night. we were seated promptly and had excellent service all night. they served us each with one piece of cranberry walnut bread and a piece of baquet with butter. both of our dinners were prepared to our liking. i had the salmon and he had the scallops. i did not care for the risotto, i thought it was a bit chewy. otherwise, the three soup sampler was amazing, he got the homemade mushroom, tomato and asparagus, all of which you could tell were freshly made. we had a bottle of Trios wine as the bottle we had ordered they did not have it. the service was great. we would return.

Stand outs (so far) Kale Salad, Crab Cakes, Escargot, Soup Tasting Scallops, Sea Bass, Salmon, NY Steak, Duck. Awesome drinks, delicious Desserts. Great Wine List. And Something so rare in the Valley- Impeccable Service. Ask for Joe Deb, Carol, Rob, Greg. If you haven't dined at Cork Tree you are missing something special.

My husband and I vacation often in Palm Desert, staying at Club Intrawest. Even though The Cork Tree has been there in the far corner of the Ralph's parking lot on every visit, we'd never tried it. Its outside appearance just doesn't appeal to us. I like to dress up a little for dinner out and The Cork Tree looked far too casual. But the inside is nothing like the outside. We ate here to celebrate our anniversary, and enjoyed a private booth, wonderful service, and terrific food. My husband's pork shank was tender (he touched it with his fork and the meat fell off the bone) and delicious (and perfectly complimented by the wine our server recommended). I enjoyed a petite filet with spinach alfredo. We'll definitely be back!

We spent Memorial Day weekend with some neighbors in Palm Springs and introduced them to our favorite restaurant in Palm Springs (technically Palm Desert), Cork Tree. Only 1 criticism, and has nothing to do with the food or service, they allowed a diner in, who was wearing rubber flip flops, shorts and a tank top, who, for some reason, found it necessary to walk around the dining room at least three times. This is an upscale restaurant that should have a dress code or should uphold their dress code.

We only wished we had found The Cork Tree sooner than the last but one night of our vacation. We had been looking for a fine dining experience and found this lacking in the desert. We certainly found it at The Cork Tree! The whole experience was a breath of fresh air from steak and fries! The service was first class and the atmosphere was warm and friendly. The risotto and apple pie was the best we have tasted. We will certainly be visiting the next time we are on vacation.
