The best thing is that you will find seasonal menu items unique to the Cork and Fork which isn't an easy feat in this valley. And they're all delicious. Better make reservations, however.   • "i love the Cork 'N Fork. the food is always fresh and tasty. menu items are unique with interesting flavors. best of all, i enjoy the small plates concept. we order and share. a few bites does the trick and i never feel like i have over-indulged. My favorite item is the Farmers Salad, a wonderful blend of flavors with shaved Brussel sprouts and kale. sounds too healthy but tastes divine! the service is great, too. our servers are always in the vicinity, checking in, always with an upbeat attitude. there are lots of places to choose in La Quinta, but Cork 'N Fork is my number one!"

Just red velvet cake mixed with ice cream. Grilled watermelon salad was very poor. Beet salad was good. leek soup was good also."

  • "Read the great reviews and we were excited to go. The food was fair and that is about it. It is hard to explain. The ingredients were fresh, the dishes were well executed and they were the best they could be...but honestly the flavors were just muddled, conflicting and overdone. Each dish was over-dressed or had just one too many ingredients. It was a bit of a mess. A great example is the prosciutto appetizer. Great ham, nicely sliced DRENCHED in a mustard sauce covered in arugula and covered in grated cheese. All great ingredients all fresh and high quality...the dish was a inedible. Pizza, same thing....Lettuce wraps, three different kinds of herbs, peanuts, onions, mango, sauce....overkill. Place was packed so maybe its just me."

  • "We took the opportunity to dine here for the first time during restaurant week. The menu had a lot of great looking options for all 3 courses. The dishes we picked were small but rich and complex. We especially enjoyed the Korean pork wraps as an appetizer, and the vegetarian lasagna and scallops for main dishes. All 3 desserts were spectacular. Service was excellent. We had such a great time we returned on two days later and brought friends! A winner."

The atmosphere is intimate, the restaurant small, but do not be deceived. The food is amazing. I will be taking family and friends there next time they are visiting as a "must" go do for dinner.   • "Food was delicious. Chef use to work for Betty Ford. All fresh and well seasoned. Small plates but intended for sharing. For example, one dish had two tacos, another dish had two tamales, easy enough for the two of us to transfer one to each plate. Salad was easily enough for at least two to share. Be sure to go with folks you are comfortable sharing plates with as this restaurant's concept is sharing; intent being that you order several dishes that can be split between at least two people. Can get expensive if you order too many dishes. Similar to a tapas restaurant. We also had a delicious Malbec from Argentina. Wines by the glass typically have two different pours (e.g. 3 or 6 ounces)priced in line with other area restaurants."

We were part of Restaurant week and there was a group of 8 next to us which is why the noise level was a bit much, but aside from that we truly enjoyed ourselves.   • "We love trying new places to eat and after looking over the 4.5 reviews we had to be there! Sharing most everything is normal for us when dining out and in this case the portions were larger than anticipated. The farmers market salad I thought was very good (wife, way to sweet), gazpacho soup was very good (wife thought too sweet, made with fruit), bruschetta was great (wife, too sweet, honey over the top), the beef sliders had excellent beef but not too tasteful and we both thought the margarita pizza was great!! My 60 yr. old, 104# wife makes all the above items and she is really into all the finest ingredients when preparing those items with less sweet tasting. My Linda use to be a restaurant critic in the Newport Beach area. "

Bit loud & a bit rushed, but in a friendly way. You must make a rez if u dont want to wait for a table. Only disappointment was that for a joint with "Cork" in it's name was that they did not have any non-alcoholic wine on their list."
