Diner Reviews
  • "Cork and Fork is our go to place to take friends when they are in town visiting. Everything we've tried has always been fantastic, and it's fun to order a bunch of different items and try bites of it all. The bruschetta is to die for, as well as the Rustic pizza, tacos and sliders. Top notch all around."

  • "This was my second time back to cork and fork and anytime I am in the Palm Desert area I will definitely be going. YUMMY!!!!"

  • "Stephanie was outstanding. Ok, we brought our good friends back, they said they had a "so-so" time upon there first visit. So we had a great table. first off, which we requested, and our server was outstanding, so we had a "culinary guide" - to put us in the right direction. Grilled peaches, Goat Cheese brusketta, Paul Hobbs, La Flore Cab, then the mouthwatering Fillet Mignon, Shrimp Tacos. then another bottle of the La Flore, on to the Grown-up Grilled Cheese, Honeygem Salad, and Lettuce Wraps! YUMMM! Bravo! and for desert the Bread Pudding! Perfect ending. to a perfect evening."

  • "The small plates at this restaurant rival any I have had in the desert. I am so happy to have found a new place for my favorite type of meal, lots of wonderful taste treats! The wine we had was very good, and each plate was beautifully prepared and presented. I look forward to my next visit."

  • "We dine at the Cork and Fork every week or ten days and have taken many friends there. We all Love Love Love it! Staff is very pleasant and accommodating and the owner is lovely. Very comfy restaurant!"

  • "If you can get past the roaring acoutstics, the tiny almost unreadable font of the lengthy menu, the miniscule portions, and the half-hearted nod to Happy Hour, C & Fdoes have some fascinating dishes. Adult grilled cheese sandwich? Goat cheese foccacia? Filet minon street tacos? The list is long and shows wonderful imagination. But the list of "shareable" plates is pretty much a joke. An $11 filet minon street taco dish had exactly two "tacos", roughly the circumference of a slider, but very delicately endowed...basically two bites. And GEWÜRZTRAMINER for your Happy Hour white wine special? C & F is far from routine, but an intriguing cure for "menu fatigue" ifyou eat out a lot."

  • "We were in La Quinta to celebrate a friend's birthday. Since the real party was on Saturday, we went to the Cork & Fork on Friday. Everything we had was so delicious. Ahi nachos, beet salad, shrimp cakes (best ever) and deserts to die for. I also had the red wine flight. It was so good. During off season they are only open 5:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. The gentleman next to us said he has been trying to get a table for a while so make reservations early. It is so worth it!"

  • "Although the dishes are small Tapa-sized, the flavor of each dish I tried (the Bruchetta, Filet Mignon Tacos, Grilled Cheese, Shrimp Cakes, and Pot de Creme) was amazing!!! They also had a nice selection of reasonably priced wines. Although the restaurant is small and in a strip mall, the interior is modern and chic looking. It was one of the most flavorful meals I have had in years, which is saying a lot for as much as I dine out. I just wish the Cork & Fork was not 3 hours from my house."

  • "One of the best dining experience and our friends really liked it too!"

  • "A fun, casual place for grown ups. We love the small plate menu; many of them big enough to share so we can taste more of the chef's creative dishes. Many of the wines are unfamiliar but the staff knows them and makes good recomendations. Service is professional but friendly."

  • "We have many great restaurants in the Coachella Valley but this one takes the grand prize. Hidden in the back of a small shopping center in La Quinta you will find this extremely fine dining establishment. The ambiance is upscale and the reception when you come in the door is welcoming and warm. The menu has something for all who dine. We had the most wonderful appetizers of Ahi Nachos and an outstanding Feta Crustini, two great salads one boasted a mango and beet delight with fresh greens while the other had the most delicious Brussels Sprouts and greens we have ever tasted. The dressings were perfect. But the best was the pizza. Not your ordinary pizza true foodie food. This makes all other pizza taste like a wanna be."

  • "Cork & Fork is a delicious new find for foodies in the Palm Desert La Quinta area. Although the restaurant features "small plates", the plates are actually rather large. Definitely order a few plates at a time--otherwise you might not be able to finish your food! We ate the sliders with the mini scoop of potato salad, the bruschetta with goat cheese, pistachios, and balsamic glaze, and we even ordered the kaanapali pizza (the crust is divine!). It's a great local spot for semi-adventurous eaters who enjoy a nice glass of wine, cute ambiance, and of course, small plates. I'll definitely be back to visit."

  • "This is one of our favorite finds in the valley. The food is always so creative and the wine list has an incredible selection by the glass. I had the lulu salad and the combinations of different fruits and vegetables made me swoon. We always enjoy the cheese plate with the variety of cheeses, grilled bread and the sinful truffle honey butter. Can't wait to go back and try other options."

  • "We discovered this place during restaurant week. Fell in love with it. My husband suggested we go back there for dinner on Saturday night. I know that it impressed him as he is not one to suggest going out to eat. Everything was fantastic!! we did purchase the cookbook that Andie put together and have enjoyed a few dishes from there also."

  • "Really enjoyed our meal. Shared all plates, great wine suggestions, would definitely go back."

  • "i love the Cork 'N Fork. the food is always fresh and tasty. menu items are unique with interesting flavors. best of all, i enjoy the small plates concept. we order and share. a few bites does the trick and i never feel like i have over-indulged. My favorite item is the Farmers Salad, a wonderful blend of flavors with shaved Brussel sprouts and kale. sounds too healthy but tastes divine! the service is great, too. our servers are always in the vicinity, checking in, always with an upbeat attitude. there are lots of places to choose in La Quinta, but Cork 'N Fork is my number one!"

  • "Don't let the casual name fool you...the food is first rate. Everything is prepared fresh and the presentation is varied and fun with a touch of class thrown in. The best thing is that you will find seasonal menu items unique to the Cork and Fork which isn't an easy feat in this valley. And they're all delicious. Better make reservations, however. The place is relatively small and quite popular."

  • "The menu was interesting, but the food was just so so. Some was very good and some was mediocre to not so good. The red velvet gelato was uninspiring to say the least. Just red velvet cake mixed with ice cream. Grilled watermelon salad was very poor. Beet salad was good. leek soup was good also."

  • "This is a real find where you would least expect it. The food is original and designed to be shared. Courses are promptly searved so waiting to order second or thirds is not a problem. Dine on great food at your own pace."

  • "Great selection of small plates. Great for sharing around a table. Also a great, reasonably priced wine list"

  • "Read the great reviews and we were excited to go. The food was fair and that is about it. It is hard to explain. The ingredients were fresh, the dishes were well executed and they were the best they could be...but honestly the flavors were just muddled, conflicting and overdone. Each dish was over-dressed or had just one too many ingredients. It was a bit of a mess. A great example is the prosciutto appetizer. Great ham, nicely sliced DRENCHED in a mustard sauce covered in arugula and covered in grated cheese. All great ingredients all fresh and high quality...the dish was a inedible. Pizza, same thing....Lettuce wraps, three different kinds of herbs, peanuts, onions, mango, sauce....overkill. Place was packed so maybe its just me."

  • "Probably one of our favorites in the desert. The only thing disappointing is that due to the changing menu, we seemed to always miss the week that featured firecracker ribs. I am then forced to make them myself from the cookbook from The Cork & Fork. I guess it is actually a win-win."

  • "Tried for restaurant week with friends. Enjoyable meal and even regular meal prices are good. Food was tasty however, I like plainer dishes. Everyone had plenty to eat."
    Dined on 6/6/2014
  • "Quality of the food is hit and miss -- a couple were delightful tasty treats, others pasty and tasteless. Main dish and appetizer portions are equally small in size, so several dishes needed to be ordered, adding up to an expensive meal. Wine list is very mediocre and uninteresting."
    Dined on 6/6/2014
  • "The food here was excellent! From the appetizers, to the main course, to the dessert, this was the best meal I have had in the desert in a long time! The atmosphere is intimate, the restaurant small, but do not be deceived. The food is amazing. I will be taking family and friends there next time they are visiting as a "must" go do for dinner. Service was the best as well and good wine selection. "

  • "First time here and I thought if give it a try for restaurant week. Great menu & wine list. Desserts are killer and can't wait to go back and have dinner off the regular menu. Definitely recommend this spot!"

  • "The staff was slow and rude. They were unwilling to accommodate dietary needs. They ran out of food in a pre-fix menu. They wouldn't let me bring in a birthday cake I celebrate my birthday. I will never return. "

  • "Food was delicious. Chef use to work for Betty Ford. All fresh and well seasoned. Small plates but intended for sharing. For example, one dish had two tacos, another dish had two tamales, easy enough for the two of us to transfer one to each plate. Salad was easily enough for at least two to share. Be sure to go with folks you are comfortable sharing plates with as this restaurant's concept is sharing; intent being that you order several dishes that can be split between at least two people. Can get expensive if you order too many dishes. Similar to a tapas restaurant. We also had a delicious Malbec from Argentina. Wines by the glass typically have two different pours (e.g. 3 or 6 ounces)priced in line with other area restaurants."
