Diner Reviews
  • "My husband and I went for a date night and what a great date! I had the special Monk fish and it had a great taste with wonderful eggplant. My husband had the lamb and he loved it. Great place for cocktails if you don't have time for dinner."

  • "Eric was our server and he did a great job and select a great Malbec wine. Great work!"

  • "We were celebrating my wife's 60th birthday. Our waiter was very pleasant and helpful with her vegetarian needs. I decided to accept all his recommendations for my meal and I was very pleased with them. Excellent appetizer and main course choices. Overall we were very pleased with our dining experience and will go back again. Our only quibble was with the noise in the room, which the restaurant cannot really control."

  • "Overall the food was excellent. However, I think it is a bit over priced for this area. I would hesitate to return soon as there are several other restaurants close by with equal or superior offerings at a better value."

  • "Very good food, excellent service. A little pricey, but we knew that going in. Definitely recommend this restaurant."

  • "Booked a reservation for a VIP Customer and our spouses on a Friday night 4/5/14... My customer/and spouse were running a few minutes late so my wife and I sat at the bar. Our reservations were at 6:30 and at 6:34 (yes I was watching the clock due to the treatment we received when we arrived) the hostess showed up at the bar with menus in hand and MADE US BE SEATED AT OUR TABLE BEFORE MY CLIENT AND SPOUSE ARRIVED. High end restaurants don't make you take your seat until your entire party has arrived. We have dined several times, corporately, at the cork and cow but will be finding another venue going forward due to service. It's a shame because the food is very good. Just don't go for an important meal.... DS"

  • "In a very convenient Franklin location. We had a "special anniversary" dinner on 3/30 at Cork & Cow. The restaurant is beautifully decorated..The atmosphere friendly and cordial; very enjoyable. Our waiter, Shane, came up to us the minute we sat down. He was excellent, explaining dishes and recommending specials. The food was exquisite: such wonderful flavors! I had the cobia, which was perfectly cooked and the accompaniments were delicious. The Sangria was very refreshing. My husband ordered the Hamburger & said it was the best one he had ever had. We will definitely return to the Cork & Cow!"

  • "We loved this restaurant! We dined early on a Sunday evening and everything about it was excellent. We sat at the bar before our reservation time - just wish the bartender had told us it was 1/2 price bottle of wine night because we would have ordered wine then instead of at the table. Also - the address was a little misleading because it showed Main Street which is actually their sister restaurant - 55 South - we had to wander around a bit before we realized it was on the side street. But the food was spectacular - we enjoyed the surf/turf for two special. The wine was phenomenal. Service was outstanding. Just a great experience all the way around!"

  • "From the moment we walked in to the time we left everything was terrific! Service was impeccable. Adam was our waiter and didn't miss a thing. The lamb appetizer was the best lamb I've ever had. The filet was well seasoned and cooked perfectly to order. I tasted my friend's salmon and it too was delicious! Very delighted the Cork & Cow is a part of downtown Franklin!"

  • "Other than great food, drink and service my wife and I were impressed with the amount of time in which the waitress provided to enjoy our meal / exprience ,,,,,,,, there was no rushing / forcing us to speed our stay......... the prices are completely in line with the overall expierance......."

  • "Wonderful dining experience! The service was slow at first, but the manager noticed and apologized and gave us a free appetizer. The food was excellent and we would eat there again. Our waiter, Shane, was so knowledgable and friendly and we were very pleased with his recommendations. Great restaurant!!!!"

  • "The food and ambience of Cork & Cow far exceeded our expectations. We had to cancel our trip to Orlando to celebrate my birthday, and were looking for some special place to have a celebratory dinner. We had been to Red Pony many times, but we had not been to Cork & Cow since it took the place of Sol's. Having seen the many positive review of Cork & Cow we decided to make reservations. The evening along with the food and atmosphere could not have been better. The cocktails were also excellent as well as the wine selected by our server. We will be back!"

  • "Bartender was great, drinks were great. Food was just okay.... Nothing special. Not worth the price. My steak was sent back twice and still came back really red. Cool place for drinks."

  • "We came to this restaurant for a romantic evening and to celebrate a birthday. We were sat and had to wait 15 minutes before asking the hostess if we had a server. Server seemed frustrated and in a hurry. When our food finally arrived my order was wrong. I then had to wait an additional 20 for my steak to be made. My husband was finished with his meal by then. When my steak arrived it was over salted and extremely fatty. I was only able to eat maybe 3 bites. Definitely not worth the $49 price tag. I was very disappointed with the entire evening from start to finish. I'm angry that we spent $150 on a frustrating experience. We don't get to go out to dinner often because we have 2 kids. Would not recommend to a friend."

  • "This place was amazing! We had heard good things about it, but it even exceeded our expectations. The food was delicious, the atmosphere was very nice, and the server was very friendly and helpful. Couldn't have asked for a better experience!"

  • "Food was incredible! We all had steaks with truffle butter- very rich, but delish! Sides were also tastey- squash gratin was unusual but yummy. Pricey, but great for celebrating a special event or romantic evening out."

  • "Our servers, Josh and Sean, as well as the food were absolutely superb! This is one of two favorite spots of ours. The other being of course 55 South :) This is a must try!"

  • "This was our first time dining at Cork & Cow but it will NOT be our last .. Good vibe .. Great service and awesome food ... Already looking forward to going back ... The entire staff went out of their way to make sure we had a memorable anniversary dinner ... Kudos to all ..."

  • "....not the server, I DID! The response time was amazing, the floor was clean and my lap was blown dry (running joke at the table) in seconds! After that flurry of activity, the appetizers came. The Wagu meatballs were hands down, the best meatballs I've ever had. My wife really enjoyed her pork medallions, however, my grouper was a little tough and over cooked. Our server was nothing short of tremendous and John's drinks were amazing! I've been here, either with business associates or friends (sometimes the same) several times and it just keeps getting better. Nice job!"

  • "My husband and I went there for the first time. We had a 5:00pm reservation. We sat at the bar and enjoyed a cocktail prior to dinner and their cocktail menu is magnificent! Adam was our server and he was very knowledgable of the menu. We went off of his recommendations. We ordered the scallops and oysters for our appetizers. The oysters were the best that I've had. My husband had the beef medallion special and I had the grouper for our main courses. They were phenomenal! I would highly recommend Cork and Cow! For foodies, it is a must!"

  • "The good was beyond incredible and the suggestions our waitress, Jennifer, had were perfect. It was a bit loud, but it was Friday night. The wine list is phenomenal. The menu is a bit pricey, but you definitely get what you pay for in the way of fantastic food. I'm already thinking about going back in a few months for my birthday!"

  • "We had reservations at 8:45 and arrived on time but still had to wait 10 minutes to be seated. The noise was so loud I felt like I was screaming when talking. I made late reservations thinking it would be less noisy. It did get quieter but not until almost 10 pm. I had the special which was filet medallions but the waitress never mentioned they would come with a BBQ like sauce on them. I would never purposely put a BBQ sauce on a filet. My husband loved his filet (not the special so it had no sauce poured over it). We did get a complimentary dessert for our anniversary which was very nice and was good. For the price I was expecting something a little better overall."

  • "The food was very good, and service prompt, friendly, and professional. The noise level was acceptable, easy to have a conversation. The ambiance for us was not good, however; even though we had a reservation in many days in advance, they put us in the loft staring at a large TV literally 30" from our nose. Not exactly romantic scenery. We asked for a different table, and some were clearly open, but were told the tables were reserved (and did we not have a reservation also?). And the service started out great, but fell off noticeably as the meal went on, to where we were the ones waiting on the waiter, like 20 minutes between the time we finished our meal and the next time someone stopped by the table. But the food made it worthwhile."

  • "food was very good, great even. the table ( 2 seater) was in the traffic flow and noisy. will ask for different table next time."

  • "We had a fabulous dinner here celebrating a birthday. This was our second trip, and it was probably even better than the first. Everything was delicious but the real standouts were the side dishes. My husband hates Brussels sprouts, but orders and devours them here. The gnocchi is made with layers of pastry instead of potatoes and is incredibly rich and yummy. The cauliflower risotto that came with my grouper was something I've never had elsewhere - different and very flavorful. The service is fabulous, bar selection is huge, decor is lovely, and we sat "upstairs" in the balcony area that was very private but afforded an entertaining view of the downstairs dining area and bar. All in all, fantastic place. We'll be back soon!"

  • "A vibrant and quaint location for an evening of fine dining. While the menu is smallish, the execution of the kitchen is flawless. Each member of our party enjoyed their selections and (3) of us took home generous leftovers of our dinner. Our server (Jennifer) was fluid and took great care of our group. Highly recommended that you ask for one of her tables. Notably, The Cork and Cow is one of the most expensive dining experiences in Franklin and even Nashville but if you are a real foodie, you will not be disappointed. One suggestion, savor your time there and enjoy the experience. This is no "eat and run" type of restaurant."

  • "We've been once before and the Chef deserves 5 stars. Every meal we've had has been outstanding! Worth our drive in from Nashville"

  • "The restaurant was relatively hard to find since neither the name nor the street number were on the outside of the building. In fact, the address is misleading as there was nothing mentioned that the entry was on 4th and not on Main Street. However, once I found the place, the ambience was wonderful and the staff very accommodating. The plate I ordered was a little blander than I expected but very well prepared with a very good visual presentation. The dessert I ordered was fabulous."

  • "We live in hendersonville and was looking for something different. So we made a reservation a week in advance, we drove 45 mins across town arrived 10 mins early and still had to wait 20+ mins to be seated.... My wife ordered the pasta and it was good. Me and our guest ordered the ribeye. They both were served rare not med to the point we didnt finish the meal. Bottom line is if I Lived in the area I would give it another shot. However there is NO way I would drive 2 hours round trip to dine there again."

  • "Cork & Cow exceeded our expectations for a lovely Valentine's Day dinner evening. We were seated promptly upon our reservation time. Our server was tactful and kind. The food came quickly and was delicious! We can't wait to go back soon and try other menu items."

  • "We dined at this restaurant recently for our anniversary and came away very impressed. The filet was one of the best I have had in a long time. The service is incredible given that they only have 15 tables available in the entire restaurant. I highly recommend this restaurant."
