  • "My wife, notoriuosly, gets a filet when we go out. She said their filet with the black truffle butter was one of the best she's ever had. I had the special Bone-in NY Strip. It was a little pricey, but very good. We sat upstairs which gave us a great view of the restaurant and bar. Ben, our server, took very good care of us."

  • "The food and service were amazing at Cork and Cow. My husband and I went there for his birthday and we were blown away. Everything we ate was stellar and I have to say we are picky. The drinks from the bar were outstanding. The bone in Ribeye that my husband had was amazing and I had the scallops and shrimp gnocchi in a light cream sauce- I think I died and went to heaven... so good. All and all a great place I will return many times with friends and family. A unique spot that offers upscale dinning in the heart of downtown Franklin."

  • "My boyfriend took me to Cork & Cow for my birthday, and everything from the food to the service to the atmosphere was outstanding. We started with zucchini fries, and he had a caprese salad, which he loved. For dinner, I had the shrimp, scallop and mushroom gnocchi, and he had the bone-in ribeye with the Mac & cheese. Everything was perfectly prepared, and the gnocchi was the best I've had. And, the tiramisu was the perfect ending. Oh, and our server, Adam, was wonderful - he was knowledgeable, personable and attentive. I can't say enough about this place!"

  • "The restaurant is small, which is good. My wife and I sat at the bar while we waited for our table, and I had their twist on an Old Fashioned. It was probably one of the best drinks I've ever had. Afterwards, we experienced some of the best food we've ever had. They cook with local meat and veggies, and everything was prepared perfectly. On top of that, the wine selection was excellent and our waiter was outstanding. It's very rare for us to experience a dinner like the one we had at Cork & Cow. I can't recommend it enough."

  • "My husband and I went out to celebrate a new job. We were looking for someplace new and read some fantastic reviews for Cork & Cow. We loved both of our meals. My husband had the burger and I had the ahi tuna. We also got the mac n cheese side and cauliflower sides. They were HUGE portions but so delicious and perfect for lunch leftovers! Our drinks were also awesome, my husband had a great bourbon recommended and I had the gardener's mule. Highly recommend!"

  • "My wife and I have been wanting to try Cork and Cow for a long time. We are huge 55 South fans. The restaurants are owned by the same person. We decided to celebrate our 5th anniversary there on Friday. It did not disappoint. I will be fair though, and list both goods and bads... Bads...Very expensive, but we knew that going into it. 2 entrees, 1 app, 1 salad, 1 side, 3 cocktails with tax and tip=$165.00! Also, the steaks are grilled over hickory wood, so this gives the steak a smoked flavor. This could be good or bad for some. I prefer a dry rub, seared steak where the crust forms on the outside of the steak. The good...The quality of the meat...Top Notch! The mac and cheese was the best I've ever had. Service was very good!"

  • "One of the few restaurants that has truly exceptional fine dining dishes. The steak was a perfectly grilled medium rare and the fish was moist and flaky. Our waiter knew each of the dishes and described them so well that we definitely ordered more than we would have anywhere else... stuffed! Our glasses never ran dry but we also didn't feel harassed by constant attention. Highly recommended for a special night out."

  • "The kale salad was $9 and really unimaginative....the grouper was rather "fishy" and had the wrong sauce, a red-looking sauce...the waiter even apologized for the mix-up on the sauce and brought us another one which really didnt help out the fish.....there was a cauliflower/cheese gratin side dish that was fair.....although the rosemary bread was hot and pretty good, it was rather heavy....my friend and I left the restaurant with an uncontented/lacking feeling rather than a nice memory....the wine was not bad..."

  • "Best steak around, with many options for cut of beef and preparation, accompaniments. The truffle butter is spectacular. Bone-in Filet is a juicy, thick cut, substantial but not overwhelming in heft. There are many delicious side options to go along with the entrée. Broiled oyster appetizer was scrumptious. Wine list is extensive and staff are knowledgeable to help with selection. Price of food is high but acceptable given the prime cuts of beef and overall excellent quality of food. Ambience is low-key, comfortable and informal. It was a terrific way to honor Father's Day! I recommend this restaurant for a place to impress a date or honor a family member."

  • "Upon entering, hostess was not friendly at all, big turn off on first impression! We were seated and the water girl came, got menu and that was it for about 20 minutes. We went to the bar to order our drinks, then finally a waiter appeared. We were going to just leave....fortunately the food was delicious. From the bread, salad and steaks to the dessert! The staff makes a difference, especially on the first impression."

  • "We love The Red Pony so were excited to try Cork & Cow (same owners). Unfortunately we were greeted by the most unwelcoming hostes we have encountered in quite some time. Granted we were 30 minutes late for our reservation (8:30 for an 8:00 reservation) but we called an said we were running 20 minutes late. Having never been there we had a little trouble finding the place. She left us standing outside the restaurant without explanation nor welcome. She sat us in the bar clearly anticipating we would be there late despite room in the main dining area. Fortunately she left soon after our arrival. The waiter was nice but the remaining service a bit choppy. Unfortunately the initial encounter over shadowed the food. We left before 10:15..."

  • "My mother and I went for her birthday. While she enjoyed everything she ordered, my meal was disappointing. I'm not sure if the server misunderstood, but I asked for the burger cooked medium-well. It came out well done, gray and dry. Not only that, from what I could tell, the meat hadn't even been seasoned. The best part of it was the malt vinegar aioli. As far as service goes, there wasn't very much of it, so I nibbled on soggy fries and dry burger bites. While the server was friendly, he wasn't attentive. Cocktails and water ran out and there were long stretches of time we didn't see him. Bottom line although the cocktails were good and dessert was delicious, I won't go back. Too expensive for such an uneven experience."

  • "A friend wanted to try it,so said I would give another chance Well, first we ordered two glasses of wine. If I had to guess, the french blend had been opened too long, a bit bitter. We each ordered filets medium rare. The waiter told us how they would be, we agreed and said ok. Then the filets were served, her's was a medium rare, red, coolish center. Mine was just slaughtered. I sent it back, manager returned with it, no apology, just asked me to cut into it again. I did and it wasn't much different, just maybe rare, he took again, and I received a overdone, filet. Ate it, but don't need to return. Also had asparagues with bernaise sause. FYI I dine out all the time, and this is the first time I have ever sent something back."

  • "Wife had duck, a strip steak for me. The duck was fabulous. The steak came out a bit under-cooked, but with a courteous manager had it put back on the grill for a few extra minutes and came back perfect. Our waitress was one of the best I ever had. She knew the menu her suggestions were spot on and she was very attentive. And didn't rush us one bit. A very nice 3 hours without the kids."
