It is an outstanding restaurant throughout - the food is carefully prepared and with lots of attention to details. The service is just right - in general we don't like too much attention.
Our daughters enjoyed the food, the atmosphere and the service as well.

We absolutely thoroughly enjoyed our meal so much we booked again. And we have reservations for this evening as well because there are so many things on the menu we want to try. High notes, Herbed Gnocchi, Braised Short Ribs, Crispy Brussels Sprouts with bacon, Scalloped potato gratin, Burrata & Prosciutto appetizer. My request for an outside table was met and we had a gorgeous view of the mountains and enjoyed a beautiful sunset. Service was attentive but not intrusive. Our food was delicious. We were celebrating our daughter's 20th birthday and she was presented with a complimentary signature drink (minus the alcohol, she has to wait until next birthday). The entire evening was relaxing and enjoyable. This is my second time dining at The Core, and I will definitely return. They brought me a taste of a premium single malt scotch because they were out of my usual brand. i'd highly recommend Core Kitchen.3/30/2013 12:00:00 AMCore is all that and moreAlthough I am not usually a fan of hotel restaurants, Core is a very nice place. One can choose to dine indoors or out. The views up canyon are pretty spectacular. Add in a full moon rising over the desert and it becomes almost spiritual. The spacing between tables is quite large, so you never feel as though you are intruding, or having others intrude on your conversation. A normal speaking voice is all you need. The wine list is comprehensive, and for a high end property like the Ritz, pretty reasonable. Our food was hot, tasty and nicely portioned.
