We ordered the mussels, which had potatoes to soak up the broth instead of bread. I think my husband wanted to order two more! We also ordered the truffle fries and the deep-fried asparagus. (I know, not the healthiest.) We love wasabi, but watch yourself with the spread that comes on the plate of the asparagus -- it is POTENT. My husband loves spicy food and almost fainted when he put a bunch on his first spear. I'm surprised the waitress didn't warn us.

I've dined here before and always enjoyed good food. Last Thursday night, Denver restaurant week, the food was highly salty and not good, like they opened a can and poured it out on the plate. Only because I was with my daughter, in town for a rare long weekend, did I decide not to send back my dinner. Soooo disappointed.

The 1st two courses, the "squash" risotto, there was not any signs of squash in it. The goat cheese on top? maybe an 1/8 of a tsp for color. The salad was not much. The salmon was very good.

Dinner at Coral Room is always a treat. The only down side was that the bar ran out of Hendrix Gin so I only had a half of a martini. They did comp me that though, so kudos! Food and service was excwllent and the wind list offered great choices at different prices. I will be back again.

I had a friend visiting from out of town and wanted to take her to brunch in Denver, it is hard to find restaurants that serves brunch during the week but the Coral Room does! Their mimosas are great, a very healthy size with just a splash of juice, definitely worth the price. Love that neighborhood!

This was our first visit to the Coral Room Highlands and we'll definitely be returning! The food was yummy! The wine was great! The service couldn't have been better! What more can you ask for? Additionally, the atmosphere is attractive and relaxing. Between us we had the Garden Salad, the Beet Salad, Fish and Chips, the Fillet, Mussels, and Cannolli with Oreo filling - all exceedingly tasty including all the sides!

I ate at The Coral Room and was so disappointed. It used to be so good with excellent professional service. Now the staff are not as attentive and dress very very casual-almost sloppy. The food also was clearly not as good as it was in the past and the menu has changed . So sad. I won't be going back.

We arrived about 5:30 on a Sunday evening and Happy Hour was in progress. We ordered multiple small plates, and all of them were wonderful and $2 off the menu price. We had an exceptionally friendly server who made the whole evening fun. I'd highly recommend this cozy little spot.

Nice little place in the middle of the highlands. Went there for dinner on a Friday night. The food was great and lots of good, fresh items to choose from (the honey and beets salad was fantastic). Main complaint was the close proximity of the tables. Our table was so close that I could hear the people next to us talking. It's a small place so I understand they try to pack ad many tables together as possible. Service was good. We'll return again for sure.

I took my wife here for brunch. We nearly had the room to ourselves as we got there when it opened but that didn't affect the food or service negatively. Both were top notch. If you've ever waited outside in the cold for a table at snooze or the like, don't overlook brunch at Coral Room. Will definitely be back.

We came here for Mother's Day dinner. Our waiter served us water & came back 10 min later for our drink order. After waiting another 15 min, he came back & said he had forgotten our order, but would take it again, along with our food. After waiting another 25 min without drinks, I went to the bar to see if we could get served. After 55 min with only 1 initial glass of water, we finally got our 1st drinks. As other people who had come in after us started getting food, our waiter came and apologized and said he had forgotten our food order! At this point with 2 hungry kids waiting, I was ready to walk. But my dad was afraid we wouldn't be able to find another place. So we ordered, again, and after 1hr 40 min, finally got our food. Ridiculous!

We decided to head out on a Saturday evening for an impromptu late evening meal. Tried one of their specialty cocktails "Bees Knees" and found it to be different and delicious. My husband ordered the Ahi Poke on the seaweed salad. Very fresh and some of the best poke he's had. The seaweed had a spicy sauce and was just a little overwhelming but still very good. I had the walnut and greens salad which was large and very good. My best dish was the small taste of steak with portobello mushroom and peppers. We also tried the truffle fries which were not our favorite, but they did fit with the entire meal. Will definitely go back and next time we decided we'll sit at the bar and meet some other diners. Very nice wait staff.

While we had dined here before, this was somewhat disappointing. It was not busy and nobody was waiting to be seated, but our server kept interrupting our table conversation, including breaking into our conversations to see if we wanted anything. This was beyond helpful, it was intrusive. Again no rush to get us out, no customers waiting, other open tables, not near closing time, bit instead of finding the flow of what we wanted, he was making it what he wanted, even after we started out the night indicating that we were not in a rush. The food was marginal, the vegetarian udon dish was very spicy, but the menu did not denote that, nor did the waiter mention it, my wife could not eat it.I asked for my salmon medium, but it was seared.

This was our first time to dine at The Coral Room, and I was impressed to stumble upon it during Denver Restaurant Week. It has a cozy feel and I was most impressed with our wait staff. Several members of the staff came by to check on us throughout the evening, but not in a hovering/annoying way. All were very knowledgeable about their menu, drink options, neighborhood, etc., etc. The quality of the food was great and the cozy, comfortable atmosphere made it feel like a relaxing experience rather than a hoity-toity one! :)

First time dining at Coral Room last weekend. Read so many positive reviews figured it had to be incredible. Unfortunately, I can only give it a "good" rating. Positives: Service excellent. Ambience great. Creative, interesting wine list. Negative: Food not exceptional. The beet salad was terrific as a starter with savory flavors. My date had the duck and while it was flavorful, the meat was quite tough and striated with fat (I understand duck tends to be more fatty than some meat but there are ways to make it tender). I had the filet minon and it was perfectly cooked (medium rare as requested) and a thick cut. Tasty but nothing really special about the presentation (Brussels sprouts were great). Going to try brunch here next.

We came to this spot for MLK day because all of the other restaurants had a wait of 60-70 min. I'm so glad we did! Delicious food, great service--the ambiance is lovely and would be even in a crowd. Our waitress was charming and we had a wonderful meal. The scrambles/omelettes are to die for and a gentleman near us had a rice dish that looked delicious. Will definitely be returning for some of those Brunch cocktails.

This was our third visit in about a year, and each experience has been exceptional. The ambience is comfortable and mature, the collection of reflections is attractive without being overboard. I must say that each visit, we have had the same wait staff; Nick is pleasent, knowledgeable, and promptly attentive. The bar serves a wonderful collection of creative takes on classic cocktails, but not enough to overshadow the menu, which changes regularly. My partner and I have decided to an The Corral Room to our favorites list...

Don't let the location (in a small strip mall) dissuade you. We almost changed our minds to go to a nearby restaurant that looked like it had more character. Once we walked into Coral Room Highlands, we were glad we kept with the original plans. The food was very good. Some dishes were better than others. I had the Colorado trout (or bass??) that was encrusted. It was a bit dry to be honest. The salmon was exceptional as was the beef, the salads, the dessert, and of course the service. We were struck by how warm and friendly the waitstaff was to everyone in the place. Our server, Miles, was exceptional! We will definitely go back.

Excellent, creatively prepared small plates allow trying a variety of dishes in one evening. The combinations and contrasts of flavors, textures and temperatures brings out the best of each item served. Focus is on locally sourced sustainable ingredients. Our server was knowledgeable about wine pairings for each dish. Setting is casual, subtly fun and relaxing, and seems to be popular with young professionals. Off-menu desserts are also available and creatively prepared. The surrounding neighborhood has interesting shops for strolling before or after. Parking would be a bit challenging on busy evenings.
