Diner Reviews
  • "This was our first time to Coquette Brasserie. We went for brunch and fell in love! They offer $10 unlimited mimosas, which is a hard deal to pass up. They offer a restaurant and cafe side, which we were not aware when we made the reservations. We sat in the restaurant, which was fine. However, it was a beautiful day and they had the indoor/outdoor seating opened in the cafe, and I think we would have preferred to sit outside or near the outside. Aside from that, our waitress was wonderful. We ordered a dessert and our waitress let us know that there were only 3 desserts on the plate, but they made an additional one for our group, since we were a party of 4. That is excellent customer service! We will certainly be going back in the future."

  • "My friend and I met for a girls night out to enjoy the ambiance and awesome french cuisine. We ate appetizers and wine and were not disappointed! The flat breads and steak tartar were amazing! We will definitely be back"

  • "Food, as usual, very good. VERY noisy lunch crowd though."

  • "The food and dining experience is always very good at Coquette. I meet my women friends there frequently; the location in North Hills is convenient. The ambience is quite good as it is a pretty place to dine. The food is always very good. The wait staff is efficient and pleasant. It is a nice place to linger a bit over a meal to savor the experience with a friend and good conversation. I keep going back!"

  • "The ambience and décor of this restaurant makes you feel like you are in France. And the food was excellent!"

  • "It was a great experience for my husband and I, the waitress was very kind, nice, and kept an eye on us at all times. I was expecting the prices to be a little bit higher due to the quality of the food, but we were really happy to realize that we were paying less than planned and still got great, flavorful, and good-sized dishes."

  • "I had dinner at the restaurant with two friends. The food was cooked to perfection and the atmosphere was fantastic. I had a reservation so we did not have to wait for a table. I have eaten at this restaurant several times and have always had a great experience. I would highly recommend it."

  • "Our server was slow to get us started, and a little snooty. For what we received, the food was overpriced. I could go on. Needless to say, we will not return. It is too bad - I have been to your restaurant previously, and the experience was great."

  • "One if our favorite places. Beautiful restaurant, can't get any closer to a French restaurant in the U.S.! Food is consistently good and good quality ingredients. Always go there when we are in Raleigh."

  • "My wife and I have dined at Coquette regularly since its opening. The food quality of our most recent meal was disappointing. The service person failed to tell us that one of the entrée selections was unavailable until after we ordered the entrée. Similarly, after a lengthy wait the server informed us that one of our wine by the glass selections was no longer offered. The pasta with roasted vegetable contained only mushrooms, no other vegetables and was tasteless.."

  • "We've eaten at Coquette at least 6 times, but mostly at lunch. The lunch and dinner menus are the same. The menu is not very extensive. At lunch that's OK, but at dinner I think they need to offer more options and to be a bit more adventuresome and interesting. The bread is great and the appetizers are good, but the entrees are kind of dull."

  • "Great bistro ambience with the impression of...I'm somewhere special other than Raleigh! Bartender was excellent in delivering a special ordered drink. Food was excellent....especially the fresh oysters! Waitress was on point."

  • "The atmosphere reminds me of sitting in a brasserie in Paris. Here for lunch. Quiche Loraine had a wonderful buttery crust, satiny, creamy, full of bacon and ham and was about 3" high. Very generous portion and just right for lunch. Came with a side salad that could have used just a splash more dressing for my taste. Paired with a nice glass of Rose, and you've got a perfect lunch."

  • "Took a reservation for 2 at lunchtime right at noon. We were seated promptly. Service was great, very timely, and unobtrusive. Omelet at lunch was terrific. Reasonably priced. Great place to have a nice lunch."

  • "We were visiting Raleigh and looking for different varieties of food. Coquette Brasserie is great. The French dishes that we ordered were not disappointed at all. The duck cassoulet and the beef bourguignon were very good. However, the crispy trout was so so, only 2 pieces of fish and a tiny potato with couple of asparagus. Next time I would stick to the French dishes. Overall experience was very good."

  • "Some items on the menu were great, such as their seafood crepe and hamburger. Escargot and mussels were a disappointing. Very chewy."

  • "We've tried this place several times, brunch, special occasion dinner, bar , restaurant-week. The menu doesn't change too much but delivery of quality food is consistent and service is always professional. Consistency is a rare find in this fast-changing world of restaurant business. We appreciate the fair prices in relation to the quality of food. It's not exactly a great place to bring toddlers but it's not for most fine dining restaurants anyway, so I would reserve my complaint on the family-friendliness."

  • "My partner and I were in RDU for the antiques show and decided to try Coquette. We had returned from Paris just the week before so our expectations were very high. Coquette was as good, if not better than anything we had in France!! The waitress was simply lovely. The food was divine! I had the escargot, onion soup, beef bourguignon and creme brulee for dessert (ok, I was hungry..LOL!) Everything was wonderful and surprisingly very reasonably priced. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!"

  • "Delicious food and perfect lunch portions. As a foodie who lived for nearly ten years in San Francisco, I am impressed by food quality, portion size, and impressive flavor notes. I believe that this restaurant was a bit nostalgic to the flavor quality of La Boulange in SF. I had the turkey sandwich which was more than adequate in size but the spinach and marscapone cheese added an element of luxury to what would otherwise be roasted turkey meat. The sandwich was further elevated by the thinly sliced petite cucumbers within the sandwich. My colleague had the trout and ate every bite. While it wasn't over the top good, it was definitely worth the trip and an incredible value for the fresh flavors."

  • "I went to Coquette for a special date night and we had a great time. The atmosphere was vibrant but cozy and the food was out of this world. I recommend some of the traditional french cuisine."

  • "This food will give you a heart attack, but it's well worth it. The service was top notch and the food was delicious. I got the Florentine, my husband ordered the Omlette du jour and my daughter of course got the nutella and banana crepes."

  • "Coquette has a wonderful brunch menu with many different options depending on your taste. We had a group of 6 and they were able to accommodate separate checks with ease, and the service was fantastic. I ordered the steak sandwich which was amazing, but also tried the Monte Cristo and the Croque Monsieur, both of which were very very good choices. The bottomless mimosas were perfect and at such a great price! Overall, we had a fantastic experience, and everyone in our party remarked that they would be back again!"

  • "Might be worth a call ahead before you go - we were not seated until 45 minutes after our reservation time. We like Coquette and eat there every couple of months. I hope tonight didn't mark a n ongoing change. We arrived with a 7:15 reservation. We weren't seated until 8. Many other groups were also delayed. No offer of anything for our inconvenience"

  • "My date's salmon dish was colder than room temperature, and when we noted this to the server, we were clearly given a microwaved dish. I also needed to ask to be re-seated. The restaurant was relatively empty, yet the hostess sat us right next to the kitchen door. It's not the biggest deal, but shows a lack of consideration for customers.."

  • "Though reservations would not have been necessary - plenty of tables available - I appreciate the "open table" advantage and like to insure a table is waiting rather than waiting for a table."

  • "Overall, the food, ambience was superb! The only non-positive thing I could say is that our waitress disappeared for a while, and did not offer coffee with dessert. On the other hand, she went the extra mile in helping us serve the birthday cake we brought in. Otherwise, it was a great experience!"

  • "Wow. Just wow. We had an amazing brunch today! We arrived at our reservation time and was seated immediately. Rare for a party of 8. We had the best waiter ever: Demaris! We had such a fun time at brunch. Great food. Great staff. Great company. Add all that together and I was one happy diner! Highly recommend!"

  • "Incredibly wonderful, delicious, delightful Sunday Brunch!"

  • "Overall, food was delicious. Service has been, on two occasions, much less than what you would expect at this price point. Our server was friendly, but spilled water on my husband, entrees arrived separate times, forks were forgotten. Again, nothing major, but this is the second time we've had just OK service. Food was very good and ambience was quite fun, as if you were in a Parisian cafe."

  • "We went to Coquette as couple on a Saturday night. It was busy, esp. the bar, and fairly noisy. Wine list is quite fairly priced and includes a reasonable selection of French and American wines. Service was solid, on the casual side. Our appetizers were okay - a croquette and escargot. Neither was exceptional. We both chose Beef Bourguignon, and it was also very reasonable but not memorable. Dessert was a shared pear-almond tart - again, good, but not exceptional. That seemed to be the theme. Nice atmosphere. Feels more brasserie than bistro. While there was nothing wrong, there are a few other French restaurants in the Triangle we'd return to before Coquette."

  • "This was our first visit to Coquette Brassierie and it was a very pleasant one. The food was very good at a reasonable price for a French restaurant in a good location and the service was excellent. The waitress made great recommendations and was very attentive without being intrusive. Nice atmosphere and valet parking was a plus. Great choice for a special dinner or for a casual, spur-of-the-moment dinner as was true for us. Highly recommended!"

  • "Took my bride of 29 years here for Valentines Day, We both enjoyed the pan seared salmon and the beef bourguignon with wine pairings for each. The only downer was that they ran out of Vanilla creme Brulee but we weren't sad long because the Black forest cake was out this world. Thanks for a great evening!"

  • "Coquette has become my favorite place in Raleigh for brunch. The food is good but it's the atmosphere that gets me every time. Truly doesn't feel like you are dining in Raleigh. Do not attempt Brunch without reservations!"
