Diner Reviews
  • "Special ravioli of the day was superb. Grilled Calamari and shrimp was succulent and delicious! The Dessert we chose was a salted caramel pudding, which was absolutely scrumptious."

  • "Terrific experience right from the minute your car is taken at the Valet until it is delivered back to you after dinner...without even having to request it. Great food;great service;great wine. Not much more to ask for"

  • "It was my second time at Coppi and I have to say if it was the first I would have never gone back. I did have a much better experience the first time for sure. The pasta was better and so was the service first time around! If I go back it will be because I was invited and someone else is paying. Sorry Coppi but you just didn't do it for me this time."

  • "The best part of this experience was the huge photograph on the north wall of bicycle spokes. Fabulous! Wish I knew the photographer's name. Only one of the four of us would return. The food was quite unique and taste wise ( which is the most important for me) ran the gambit from very good to just okay but I don't think I would want to pay their regular high price for it. Service was just passable: not warm and friendly or enthusiastic. Certainly not the way to win new customers. The restaurant itself was not even one quarter full - because of the cold weather or......"

  • "We had an excellent meal here the other night, one of the best I've had from Winterlicious. Sea bream was amazing and the tiramisu to die for. Really nice comfortable night. Would definitely go back."

  • "This was a great experience, from the friendly greeting staff to the ambiance. The food was fresh and the portion was just right! You didn't have to ask for anything as the outstanding staff made a point to come by frequently and ensure we were taken care of."
    Dined on 2/8/2014
  • "Restaurants should not participate in winterlicious if they cannot handle the crowds. The restaurant was busy but not all tables were occupied, the service was horrible, it took us 45 minutes to get a waiter to take our order, the food then took another 45 minutes to arrive and the food was not good. The portions wouldn't feed an infant, I get it that the price fixed menu means less revenue but not that much less. The appetizers were literally a bite, unless you ordered the steak the main courses were very small and the dessert was a sliver. After this experience we will not go back to this restaurant that we have been frequenting for a few years. It was very chincy and a huge turn off. It was an embarrassment as we treated our friends."

  • "Food and service were great. I'm not a foodie at all but the selection on the menu looked impressive and unique. We lost track of time and stayed late talking; and we were not pressured to hurry up or leave. I would definitely recommend."

  • "My Girlfriend and I went here for Winterlicious 2014. I had the cuttlefish with peas and my GF had the cured beef as an app. The portions were TINY and it was nothing special at all. We waited ONE HOUR after that for our mains. I had braised veal with creamy polenta which was very nice, but my GF had the steak with russet mash which was very disappointing. The blonde server looks like she just came back from a funeral. The other servers were ok and the dessert was also just ok. I had a 5 oz glass of wine for 14 dollars. The total bill was nearly $100. Not worth it but I will say that the braised veal was a hit."
    Dined on 2/7/2014
  • "The food was okay for the price, but the wine and coffee prices, and gratuity, brought the bill per person up to $65.00 - which was too much for the quality. If Coppi chose to participate in Winterlicious as an opportunity to draw in new customers, I think they failed. There was nothing I ate that would inspire me to return."

  • "Services were excellent, food was a little bit too salty, but the gelato & cappuccino made our day! Definitely will come back on Summerlicious!"
    Dined on 2/7/2014
  • "The steak was made just right and tasty but the veal shank is too dry."

  • "Coppi is known for their whole Orata or Spigola baked in salt. Beautiful moist tender fish. This is great however they sometimes miss on the rest."

  • "Coppi is not the same restaurant it was under former owner Fausto. The food was too salty and very tasteless. My scampi pasta had little sauce with very few tiny scampi. No one thought their dinner was good and the fish portions were small. The wine , (I tasted 3) was not great. The bottle of Barolo we ordered was c+. The service was slow, bread, salads, main and tea and coffee were greatly delayed in coming to the table. We would not go back despite the friendly owner."
    Dined on 1/18/2014
  • "Food was generally fine. We had a problem with the Paparadelle pasta special. Tooooo salty. They gave us a credit."
    Dined on 1/11/2014
  • "We really enjoyed our visit to Coppi Ristorante. My husband and I both started with the minestrone soup on a cold night. Then we both had the evening specials. I had the halibut which was done perfectly with a light breading. My husband's ravioli stuffed with lamb was amazing. Then we shared the chocolate souffle with raspberry sorbet. Delicious! We have been at Coppi before and will definitely go again."

  • "The food was great and the veal is enough to share. The salad is overpriced but tasty and the gnocchi were exceptional. The cart service is fun and some dishes are finished table side from a giant cheese wheel. The bicycle theming was nice albeit confusing without explanation (I'd never heard of Coppi and had to look him up). The only real issue was after we were seated no one came to see us for quite some time and the restaurant wasn't that busy. But once they remembered we were there it was better and the teamwork showed."

  • "We really enjoy the food, truly delicious and unique dishes (except for the bruschetta, it was not that special in my opinion). We all loved our dishes. The decor is very nice and interesting (especially for the cyclists). The service could be a bit more friendly and warm - totally ok to take the food experience very seriously but the service would benefit from a bit more warmth. Many wines are quite expensive and not affordable for many. We found a great bottle in the 'cheaper range' for ~ 45-50$. Food is on the expensive side for lunch but it was totally worth it as it was very delicious and uniquely crafted."

  • "We had a nice dinner with teens and adults. Food was very good. Service very attentive. Spent a few more $ than I had expected."

  • "Loved the belle gloss Meomi Pinot as well - everything Elena's good with truffle on the risotto- so good!"

  • "Excellent service and the food was quite delicious. The fish was cooked to perfection and they were very good at accomodating my son who only eats Penne with butter. No questions asked - he got what he wanted."

  • "Great service! Outstanding food flavor! White truffles in season . Perfect seafood dishes"
    Dined on 11/26/2013
  • "We found the food excellent and had a wonderful bottle of wine. However I felt that my rack of lamb. although delicious, was a bit scanty. I would have been comfortable with a bit more meat."
    Dined on 11/23/2013
  • "Excellent pastas made fresh in house...one of the best risottos in the city House made carpaccio is great and wonderful fresh fish Caraffe (half bottle) wines that are actually top notch as well"
    Dined on 11/23/2013
  • "Excellent food, service and atmosphere. It just misses something from being outstanding."
    Dined on 11/23/2013
  • "Not the typical Italian experience. While the food was quite good, the waiters were a little too present which made the experience somewhat irritating and stressful. They grabbed the dishes a few seconds after each course was over and rushed us to make a dessert selection while we had hardly finished our pasta. Why such a hurry?"

  • "It's truffle season at Coppi, get there before they run out! Sooooo good!!"
    Dined on 11/19/2013
  • "was a little dissapointed in the lack of flavour in the UVA appitizer especailly for the price. I have had truffels before and the flavours were outstanding. Other pasta dishes Rabbit and Tagliatelli/shrimp were outstanding and so was the Fresh Grilled Grouper."
    Dined on 11/16/2013
  • "Chose it via reviews. Amazing Orata in sea salt. Milan worthy. Great Service. Unrushed."

  • "Great to have been at the truffle festival and had a lovely entree of Truffles and risotto paired beatutifully with Piemontese wine: Dolcetto d'alba. Great evening"

  • "Both Insalata Cesare (best caesar salad I ever tasted) and Capicollo e Mela (cured pork shoulder) were exceeded my expectation. Very very good! I and my friend had Salmon and Grouper as our main dish, both are very nice but a bit pricey. Never love tiramisu, but they are very very good."

  • "We were visiting Toronto & wanted to celebrate a special family birthday in style. We were staying at the Westin Prince Hotel & wanted a nice Italian meal in the vicinity of the hotel. A web search brought us to Coppi. The authenticity of the menu & good reviews firmed our decision to dine there. They were very accommodating & even acknowledged the birthday with a delicious piece of tiramisu complete with candle. Everyone enjoyed the meal, but it was not for the budget conscious - with an extra charge for valet parking (which was worthwhile for us, as it was raining & there was no parking to be found nearby)."

  • "The food and service were outstanding - really great! But the noise was intolerable. Bare floors, uncovered tables, and bare walls make conversations impossible without shouting."
    Dined on 10/19/2013
  • "good location, more than enough space, prompt servers. food was alright, but the great parts of everything else offset it."
    Dined on 10/12/2013
  • "My friends enjoyed dining at this restaurant. The truffled pasta was a bit expensive for the portions that were given - but overall the food was very good. The Chocolate Souffle was excellent - a must try for any chocolate lover ;)"
