Copperleaf Restaurant at Cedarbrook Lodge
Suburban surpriseSeveral times a year some friends go to dinner at a quality restaurant in our own city. I had never heard of this place before and was doubtful there would be a quality restaurant tucked between the airport and I-5. The decor and the la escaping g were beautiful, the food was amazing. Not only was my duck perfectly cooked, but the accompanying vegetables, usually an afterthought, were delicious. I've heard their brunch is better than Salty's. I will be testing it soon.6/15/2013 12:00:00 AMGem of SeattleWho would have thought such a special place would be near the airport? The setting was quiet and scenic and definitely Northwest. The server was exceptional as well as the offerings. Well plan to dine there anytime I'm in Seattle and will definitely recommend to others.6/12/2013 12:00:00 AMFantastic!Copperleaf never disappoints! Extraordinary ingredients extraordinarily prepared! Gracious service!6/8/2013 12:00:00 AMGorgeous spot - great foodWho would think this incredible place is minutes from Sea-Tac? We sat outside with a heater and they even provided a blanket! The food is first class with a wonderful, interesting menu selection. The server Tim was awesome. We really enjoyed ourselves. The only thing they need to work on is their bar service - it took forever to get a drink so poor Tim kept having to apologize. Other than that, it was flawless.6/1/2013 12:00:00 AMOur first time and we willOur first time and we will definitely be back for outdoor dining this summer. Lovely wooded setting in surprising location near airport! Food quality is excellent: fresh and creative combinations presented beautifully. Portions perfectly sized. Service was attentive without being overdone and our special timing request was honored. We sat in lower lobby of lodge near large fireplace, big picture windows and lots of wood -- very northwest. Sometimes felt a bit too open for our romantic dinner, but that might have had more to do with the loud conversation of the table next to us. Next time, we'll ask for a table apart from the banquette seating.6/1/2013 12:00:00 AMA hidden treasureCedarbrook is a conference center minutes from Seattle Airport...but oh so much more. Lucious gounds, beautiful archtecture and then a devine restaurant. If you don't already know, the chef has world credentials and the menu is based on locally produces foods.5/31/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat Romantic DinnerEnjoyed the heck out of the food and the ambiance. It's a limited menu, but that forced me to try something new (the Lamb tasting) and it was fantastic. Honestly one of the best dinners I've had.5/31/2013 12:00:00 AMSeattle's BestMy wife and I are foodies and go out to dinner at least weekly. We had seen Copperleaf on OpenTable before, but didn't feel like making the drive down to SeaTac. We had a little difficulty finding the place, as google and apple maps took us through some odd neighborhoods. The hotel is in an oasis in the middle of a residential area near SeaTac.
The dinner was fantastic. I ordered the 5 course tasting menu with the pairing. The pea soup, salad, salmon, pork and chocolate dessert were outstanding. This is my new favorite restaurant in Seattle.5/25/2013 12:00:00 AMDon't miss this gem!Serving the finest and freshest food in the Seattle area. Creative cuisine perfectly presented. It's doesn't get better!5/25/2013 12:00:00 AMCopperleaf RestaurantThis is not an inexpensive restaurant, but it is well worth the price. The tasting menu with the wine pairings was a real treat.
The Cedarbrook Lodge location seems secluded and rural although it is a couple of miles from SEATAC International Airport.5/24/2013 12:00:00 AMExcellent and unexpectedThe stumbled upon the Cedarbrooke lodge when we were looking for a one night stay prior to an early morning SEA-TAC flight. We hit the jackpot with the Cedarbrooke Lodge. The dining room is part of the main lodge and overlooks their beautiful grounds. The food was some of the best I've ever had; the service impeccable and the total experience deserving of high praise. We will definitely be back.5/24/2013 12:00:00 AMLunch at CopperleafI've been back a couple of times since a friend brought me here. I will keep coming back. Copperleaf has a lovely setting, outstanding food and an exceptional staff. It's a very special experience.5/23/2013 12:00:00 AMSo soA good dinner; not exceptional. Lovely grounds. As for dinner, some items excellent, others adequate/so so.. Parking a bit obscure. We won't hurry back. Other spots in the Sea-tac area with consistently better food. Wish this experience had been 100%.5/22/2013 12:00:00 AMHidden treat!Flew in from Denver, CO and found this restaurant on Yelp and was so glad I did. The food is amazing with interesting combinations of plates! This was so good I had to come back the next night to try something else! The menu changes seasonally and I can't wait to come back to try something new.5/16/2013 12:00:00 AMA special anniversaryI love a spot where we can sit until we are ready to leave without being subtly shoved out the
door to make another turn at our table. This was a special anniversary for us and we loved
being able to talk as long as we wished.5/16/2013 12:00:00 AMExcellent food and lovely siteVery accommodating to me, the traveler, dining alone. A seat by the fireplace with views of their beautiful grounds. Great food and they provided a nice mini starter and mini dessert without my even having ordered anything but a main entree. Very interesting food combinations and sauces. I will be back on my next visit.5/15/2013 12:00:00 AMPerfection! What a delight it was to dine here. The food was fabulous--delicious and beautifully presented. The chef is definitely talented. The wait staff was friendly and efficient and the setting was absolutely lovely. We will definitely be back the next time we are in Seatac.5/14/2013 12:00:00 AMoutstanding ambienceSecond dining experience at Copperleaf. Scallops divine. Service outstanding. Can't wait to return for dinner.5/13/2013 12:00:00 AMWonderful findTruly a unique dining experience where non exists at Seatac. Very relaxing and wonderful food!4/26/2013 12:00:00 AMWe really liked our eveningWe really liked our evening at the Copperleaf. The staff was very friendly and helpful and we were able to relax and enjoy the great food and wine.4/26/2013 12:00:00 AMWrong Email addressYou have the wrong email address for Gorden. I live in Iowa and and do not use Open Table.I received the reservation confirmation and replied to let you know it was in error but it would not let me reply to an active mailbox.4/21/2013 12:00:00 AMWE WERE A PARTY OF 4 ON THEWE WERE A PARTY OF 4 ON THE 19TH. WE HAD VERY GOOD FRIENDLY SERVICE. THIS IS NOT OUR FIRST TIME IN THIS RESTUARANT AND WE WILL RETURN. THE FOOD IS DELICIOUS. THE PRESENTATION IS BEAUTIFUL AND THE PORTIONS ARE JUST RIGHT.4/19/2013 12:00:00 AMService was excellent andService was excellent and the food was wonderful. Will definitely go back.4/13/2013 12:00:00 AMAs AdvertisedMet our expectations based on recently posted ratings. We ordered the tasting menu (both )and they did not disappoint. The staff and service was excellent and sincere. The sole reason for a 4 vs 5 star rating was the service in the bar which seemed slow based on the number of customers, the drinks unremarkable and being charged incorrectly (this was quickly remedied when brought to the attention of our server).4/6/2013 12:00:00 AMBeef brisket and halibut--superb.Beef brisket and halibut--superb. Flavorful roasted parsnip appetizer and bosc pear small plate. Exceptional culinary experience.4/5/2013 12:00:00 AMWe're next to the airport??The former WAMU training center right next to Seatac now houses a great lodge and restaurant. You get a lot of really nice features for the money because the current owners bought it at auction after WAMU ended their spending spree.
The food is stellar, the waitstaff is awesome and there are fewer than 20 tables, so book early and often. This is a place I'll return to again and again. The food is primarily locally-sourced (nettles, morels) and the wine list is outstanding and a good value.
Awesome experience!4/5/2013 12:00:00 AMTop Notch, not stuffy.Top notch without being over the top. Something for everyone, every dish is a work of art.4/2/2013 12:00:00 AMHidden GemDelicious meal, perfectly prepared and presented. Always a special treat. They use only the highest quality local ingredients , sustainable sources to the extent possible. Great preparation and presentation. The team is friendly and very attentive (but not overly so ... Nice balance). This is not an inexpensive dining choice, but one we enjoy .3/15/2013 12:00:00 AMBest Restaurant in Seattle AreaWe love this restaurant!
