  • "Try meetball. Chicken tikka masala was good. Service was pathetic."

  • "For a last second dinner date, we headed over to Copper, which is just down the street from our home. And what turned out to be a casual Friday dinner was a meal that totally swept us off our feet. The naan is perfection, and the sauces are addictive. We took waiter recommendations, which, of course, never lead you astray, and their knowledge and genunine interest in making our meal an experience, will have us coming back again and again."

  • "They had a selected Lunch menu to pick from which tells you they're making it fresh and really Only those items. Everything tasted terrific. The service was on point and there was someone to help or clear the table."

  • "Awesome food. I never ate at aneIndian restaurant before, and this was a great experience."

  • "Good for the adventurous looking for a unique and quality meal. Be prepared for small portions, but enjoy every bite!"

  • "Many times a guest, always satisfied. Food is excellent, priced fairly, service a little hit or miss."
    Dined on 3/23/2014
  • "The service was disappointing: slow, non attentive, and the food was cold when it arrived 1 1/2 hours after ordering. Maybe it is more upscale than other Indian restaurants in town, but not nearly as special."

  • "I took my best friend here for her birthday dinner, but never said anything to the restaurant staff about the occasion. During dinner I handed her a funny birthday card and we laughed about it for a few minutes. When we were finished with our dinner, the waiter asked us if we were finished and we said yes, thinking our check would be coming next. But what showed up was a small chocolate cake with ice cream and a flaming birthday candle! What a surprise! My friend was thrilled and I was too because I never thought to ask if they did anything like this for birthdays or told them it was her birthday. What excellent service, I'll be going back to Cooper the next time I travel to Charlotte."

  • "One of the best Indian restaurants in Charlotte. The food and the service are always consistent :-)"

  • "We always love the food at Copper .. best Indian restaurant in town."

  • "We really enjoyed the food. Getting it out to us was a challenge. The service was terribly slow. Additionally, our server was not really friendly. My wife tried a glass of wine that was sour, so we sent it back. We asked if we could bring our own bottle inside, and the restaurant staff said yes. Upon reviewing the check, I noticed the server charged an uncorking fee of $20.00. I've been to restaurants with uncorking fees but most of them tell you in advance. Not at Copper. The manager at Copper was rude and blunt, and did not even apologize for failing to inform us of the fee. Oh well. It's kind of sad because for the $20 they gained - they lost much more in business because I won't be going back, and won't recommend this place."

  • "The food was all delicious without exception. The portion were large which balances out with the price being slightly higher than what you would expect for Indian food. The ambiance and service were above average! The food was plated and presented well!"

  • "This happens to be one of mine and my husbands favorite restaurants in Charlotte. We love good food. Copper does just that with a wonderful ambiance. We love their sister restaurant Blue Taj also but depending on what mood we are in determines which one we go to. We chose Copper for Valentines weekend because it has more of a romantic feel to it."

  • "But... I was taken here by some colleagues visiting from India who raved about the place. I thought it was excellent and would recommend it. There were several tables around us who were unfamiliar with Indian food and the waiter seemed to take his time, explaining dishes, etc."

  • "Had a great experience overall. Everyone very pleasant. A very busy night which may explain why we rarely saw our waitress who was very sweet, but not around much. Had to ask for water after being empty for too long, more than once. We waited a long time for naan and sauces to come to our table and long time passed before we placed our order. The food was very good. The restaurant was very energetic which made for a nice evening out overall."

  • "We went for an early dinner and both had chicken dishes. The food was delicious and the service was attentive without being intrusive. We will definitely be back!"

  • "It is a neighborhood favorite as well as Charlotte favorite. If you want impeccable service and a delicious and diverse dinner menu, come here!!!"

  • "Can't wait to go back and try all the dishes that I couldn't my first time!"
    Dined on 2/3/2014
  • "Food was good. Some nice modern dishes as well as traditional. Drinks were made poorly (martini not dry as requested, "Ice" drink not very good, waiter poured beer to fast and it was then flat.) nice atmosphere except patio front room--ask for one of the others. Great lighting. Definitely a place to try...but not sure I'd go back--a one and done experience...but a good one overall. Pricey...but a nice place...so you shouldn't expect Indian "dive" prices either...restaurant well run."

  • "We went here for restaurant week and were very satisfied. They have a wide range of modern and classic Indian dishes and everything we had was simply delicious!"

  • "Our second time at Copper. Food has been consistently good and their restaurant week menu was very tasty."
    Dined on 1/26/2014
  • "First off we've been fans of Copper's Nouvelle Indian cuisine for years. This time both appetizers and one of the main dishes were up to their usual standards, but the lamb was overcooked and the flavor was flat - a shame because this place usually serves fantastic lamb. I never expect much in the way of desert but this was an insult : the only options were vanilla or chocolate sponge cakes? Also neither Nam nor Roti were included. With wine tax and tip I spent $145 on dinner for two and service was needlessly rushed, considering the restaurant was nearly empty."
    Dined on 1/26/2014
  • "Love the mix of Traditional and Modern! The curries are hot! Love the lamb."
    Dined on 1/24/2014
  • "Charlotte Restaurant week. The kitchen is extremely slow. For dessert: chocolate cake or lemon pound cake? Really? This is usually an outstanding restaurant. I'm guessing they've discovered Costco. Very sad."
    Dined on 1/25/2014
  • "We went during Restaurant Week. Food was very good, but desserts were boring at best - chocolate cake or vanilla cake. They were jerks about letting me substitute a sorbet since I have dietary restrictions, even though the menu implied that sorbet would be available and they were not specific about what the desserts would be. Also, the server was very rude about telling us that we all had to choose the same menu to order from: either Rest. Week or regular. This was not advertised. The rude server also argued with one of us about ordering some bread, since it was not on the Rest. Week menu. The service was not only horrible, they were mean. We felt very unwelcome. I will not go back. It was unexpected in a place I have enjoyed in the past."

  • "Once again, I had a wonderful meal at Copper. Very inventive Indian. It was Restaurant Week, so it was very busy and loud. Despite the large crowd, our server was attentive and did a great job. I am vegetarian, and Copper offers excellent choices. In the summer, the outdoor dining is wonderful."

  • "We visited Copper during Restaurant Week. We have been to several other restaurants during this week and the food was just okay and service was not good. Our experience at Copper was superb. The food was outstanding and our server was relaxed, knowledgeable and gave us outstanding service. Copper is our new favorite restaurant in Charlotte!"

  • "Although the service was just a tad slow, the food was terrific and it wasn't so slow that it was a bother. We weren't in a hurry and the food more than made up for it. Go and try it and see if you can sit in the front room with the view of East Blvd. Very nice."

  • "Best Indian cuisine in Charlotte. Best tasting Vindalo I have had for a while."
    Dined on 1/20/2014
  • "I've been here three times now for lunch and have been extremely pleased on all occasions with the food and service we received. The Chicken / Lamb Vindaloo along with Chicken Tikka Masala have been favorites of our group. I'm looking forward to coming back for dinner to really get a good feel for the full menu."

  • "I visited Copper's during restaurant week and the food was great, but not healthy portions. I'm hoping it's because of restaurant week, because I plan on going back to capture the taste of Copper's again."

  • "Used Queen's Feast to take the opportunity to visit Copper. Prices had scared me away in the past. Very excited to try it but my expectations were not met. This place is different than other Indian restaurants but different does not always equate to better. Tried the soup, which I never do, and it was good, not great. Lamb and Butternut squash both had great flavor and presentation but a bit undercooked. Mango mousse was a pleasant surprise taste wise but lacked some plate presentation. Overall good experience. Not sure if I would go outside of Queen's Feast but willing to give it another shot. 84 out of 100."

  • "Service was good, but kitchen very slow, presumably due to restaurant week. We won't come back for that, but will be back on another night."

  • "Excellent food. I took the only children I saw. (Teenagers) We all enjoyed it very much. Wish I had been braver and gone hotter. We were not very Indian expereinced and the server was most helpful. Will return."

  • "we were there for queen's feast charlotte. the food's flavor was excellent. the portions were small. I had the shrimp appetizer and the sauce was a nice spicy sauce. I could have just eaten that for dinner. what I was very happy with was that the shell had been removed. lamb chunks were my entrée. the flavor was wonderful. it came with a side of sweet potatoes. they had a great flavor but I don't like sweet potatoes. then the dessert. wow, I got the mango cake. it was like a light cheesecake in texture. almost like a crème Brule. it melted in my mouth. my dh got the shrimp and crab for an entrée and it was wonderful. it was served on a bed of rice. the crab was in chunks large enough to be identified. wonderful flavor."

  • "Excellent flavor palette presented. Keep in mind you're probably not visiting for the service, nor prompt dishes, and certainly not the scenery. There is a relaxing outdoor area by the bar."

  • "My husband and I went here for charlotte Restaurant week. I've always loved Indian food but I've never had "high end" Indian. It was incredible. I still can't get over how full of flavor the food was without being over the top. We will definitely be going back!"

  • "This gem located on the South End of Charlotte has a beautiful setting for fine Indian dining. Carefully crafted the food was well-seasoned and superbly presented in an eye-catching, palette-pleasing manner. The food had some wonderfully complex but well-balanced flavors. Located in a beautiful Victorian house the tables were well placed and the seating warm and inviting. Although our order was taken in a timely fashion, the entrees took a long time to arrive. Fortunately the meals were totally worth the wait and were amazing. The lamb was well-seasoned and cooked medium as it should served with chunks of roasted butternut squash. My husband's creamy crab and prawn dish served over basmati rice was also nicely done. Food worth the wait!"

  • "We have been to Copper several times now. We were reluctant to try it out because we love traditional Indian food, and heard this was an Indian fusion restaurant. After giving it a shot with friends, we found out they have both traditional Indian food, plus other menu items that have an Indian flavor. This works great if you want to come here with someone that is not used to Indian food, but yet still provides traditional Indian food lovers the dishes they want. We may have been reluctant at first, but once we tried it we love going there!! We will definitely be back!"
