I tried making reservations for brunch on Mothers Day to Porterhouse in Lakeville. When they were booked, I searched for what was near. My parents and I were very impressed on how they greeted us, served us and continued to come by and ask how our experience was. Not only our waitress but also the "table cleaning guy" would ask. I believe the manager even came by to ask us how we enjoyed our meal. The buffet was AWESOME! It was a select amount of breakfast and lunch options. It was not overwhelming. They were very accomodating, I had goofed on our reservatation time and they still squeezed us in! We had a wonderful meal and prepared perfectly, my daughter loved the green flat bread. My MIL was able to substitute green beans for asparagus and we finished our meal with the best cheese cake. We all agreed we want to go back, I wish this restaurant was in our neighborhood instead of over an hour away. We were looking for someplace that offered seafood options and we tried Copper River and we couldn't be happier about the food. One opportunity for improvement was the waiter left us a little too long between taking appetizer order and taking main course order, we had appetizers half eaten before he was back. Result was a little too long between app and main courses. However the food was SO dang good it is easy to overlook that part.

I ordered the filet, which was prepared very well and ultra tender, but I would have preferred a sear rather than grill finish (I know, my personal preference). Next time will try a different dish. Had the coconut shrimp and rib eye tacos as appetizers, both were enjoyed. Desserts were ok--the crème brulee was nice but the chocolate molten cake appeared as if it had been just microwaved. The food was excellent and the service was exemplary. My wife and I were celebrating an Anniversary dinner and the personal touch of adding a message to our menu was a nice romantic gesture. We enjoyed ourselves so much we will be going back for Mothers Day dinner as well. It was very nice inside - not overcrowded and no one felt rushed to get in and get out. The offering with the brunch had a good variety of food so there was something for everyone at our table. But the food was very very tasty. I had the pepper crusted swordfish with cognac and mushroom sauce and horseradish mashed potatoes topped with fried onion strings. DELISH. My comrades had the filet mignon (cooked exactly as ordered), the ribeye (nice but nothing special) and we had the surf and turf and the jalepeno hushpuppies for starters. Those were very nice. Jay, our server, was perfect. He is very helpful and knowledgeable about the food and the bar. He was perfectly attentive and friendly.
