A word from Copper Canyon
Copper Canyon is the official restaurant of the Blue Bay Inn. Offering incredible southwestern cuisine and a tequila bar like no other, this award winning venue is most famously known for its pasilla pepper steak, crab cakes, and signature margaritas!

A 2011 & 2012 James Beard nominee, chef and owner, Michael Krikorian keeps things fresh and creative with amazing flavors in every dish.

A superior tequila bar with over 150 tequilas also allows for unique flights and tequila tastings regularly.

Tequila Dinners are a great way to try both the incredible food and some fine tequilas specifically paired with one another.

Still no sign on the door, 15 years later, Copper Canyon has built and maintained this business by word of mouth. Only horseshoes on the doors let you know that you have arrived at the one and only Copper Canyon.

Diner Reviews
  • "The place was recommended by several people, so we decided to give a try. We were two couples that finally got to hang out without kiddies. Arrived on time for 6 o'clock reservation. After we asked to give a minute to decide on the menu, the waiter told us " so, just you know, the time is limited at this table. The table is reserved for the next seating and I would appreciate if you could make decisions a little faster". I was in shock and lost any interest to be there... I should say the good mood was "killed". The food was good, the drinks were really good, but the relaxing mood never came back. After our dinner time, the two tables next to us were empty, no one came to "claim" the tables we sat at."

  • "We have been a few times now. Nice ambiance, cozy. First time we went we ordered an app and entree - we were so stuffed after the drinks too. Yummy food but lots of it (however it is a bit pricey so for the amount of food you get, it measures to the cost). Bring your appetite or just order one or two appetizers, which is what we did the last time so we were comfortable by the end. Great spot."

  • "Copper Canyon is noted for its extensive tequila list. However, if your a tequila novice, do not expect any assistance from the wait staff (or at least the waiter for our table). The waiter had little patience for questions and even fewer suggestions. Additionally, when we attempted to place our order for apps first, and then later our entrees, our waiter told us that we had to place the entire order at once. This "rule" however, did not seem to apply to adjacent tables served by the same waiter."

  • "Copper canyon is a great restaurant if you enjoy a delicious margarita and guacamole. You will enjoy this restaurant right from the start! Begin with their somewhat spicy sausage quesadilla and yummy guacamole for appetizers then either crab came or choose from either their shrimp or chicken fajitas for a dinner. End off with their pecan pie with ice cream which is to die for! You will definitely leave this restaurant satisfied!!"

  • "The food remains good; however, the kitchen is extended by offering the full menu to the hotel lounge next door. Wait times for the food and between courses are extended. Will probably not go back for a while."

  • "We had a terrific dinner with outstanding, friendly, and knowledgeable service! The crab cake is the best we have tasted and with chunky crabs and not overpowered by fillers and sauce and the Across the Street Tequila prepared us for the wonderful dining experience."

  • "Great food and great service!! Crab cakes took a little while to come out but it's worth it! The fact that the crab was fresh made all the difference! The steak is a must have! Also, I have no idea why people were complaining about the service... The waitress, hostess, and bartender were all very courteous and helpful!"

  • "We travel 45-60 Minutes to get to Copper Canyon for their pork chop which has their secret rub. The rub adds just the right amount of heat and flavor. When you cut into the chop, it's so moist- you won't believe how tender it is. Their guacamole is also fresh and full of flavor. Their bar has about 200+ tequilas- heaven on earth. It's worth the drive. Make sure you make a reservation."

  • "Wonderfully flavorful and beautifully presented southwestern cuisine. I loved The chef's interpretation of this style cuisine. A must go to restaurant. Can't wait to return to try another dish!"

  • "Love the bar area. We always try to arrive early to enjoy the recommendations of the knowledgeable bar staff from their EXTENSIVE Tequila selection. Simp,e homemade Chips, Salsa, and Guacamole are addictive! Across the board, hosts, servers, bartenders, wait staff are all attractive, neat, and professional. There are too many small plates, so try to bring a group so you can try a little of everything. Never had a disappointing main course....Steak is killer, rissotto is perfect, even the fajitas far transcend the typical ho-hum tex mex joints. Always a great experience!"

  • ". We took our children with us this time for the first time and we shared a few of their classics...tuna, fish taco , Brie and lam chops. Our server Tony was very accommodating and pleasant. The food is always unique and delicious. You pay more but it is worth it as a special treat. I do love going during the week..you are not rushed and it gives you time to truly enjoy the food and your company."

  • "This restaurant always delivers. There was a comfortable crowd of adults and children on this midweek excursion. The shrimp risotto with Chorizo and Spinach was so savory and delicious I am going back again next week. My wife always gets the Chile Rellenos with goat cheese and almonds. It is an unlikely pairing that is rich and creamy and worth the 15 minute trip to this restaurant."

  • "Great dinner here last night with table of four. Started the night off with tequila flights- Sol Dios, Milagro and Corazon (chilled with Lime- So great!) Crab cake was AMAZING, huge chunks of crab meat, butter, toasted. Best guacamole i have ever had, no too salty of seasoned- Chips have a slight spice, making them great! Others had the brie app, said it was just okay. Chicken and Shrimp fajitas for entree, perfectly seasoned and cooked, enough to take home for lunch the next day. Others had the Pasaprilla steak- AMAZING, Pork chop (so tender you can cut with a spoon), stuffed pepper (forget what type of chili pepper. Overall- great dinner, drinks were tasty- smokin margarita was my friends choice, the tequila menu is OUTSTANDING! ENJOY!"

  • "Been going here for years. It was my birthday so I really wanted to go here with my family. First, it was freezing cold. We complained several times until the AC was finally turned down. The entire restaurant was empty and they put us by the kitchen. When I asked for a different table I was told they were all reserved. I told the hostess that I had a reservation as well. So she checked with the manager and moved us alittle farther away from the work stations! The staff couldn't wait to clear our plates and turn over the table. They took my kids sodas before they finished ...which really upset my kids. The food wasn't timed well either. Heading into Red Bank to re-celebrate my birthday at a GOOD and friendly restaurant!"
