  • "We just love this place. Every dish is over the top. The eggs Benedict is the best we have ever had. Forget Canadian bacon here they use a thick ham steak. They don't skimp on the meat on the hot roast beef sandwiches. No thin slices here. The slices of beef are at least 1/2 inch thick. We also had the rib eye steak sandwich for dinner which were full of flavorful. Love the decor and the servers we had were very attentive."

  • "We heard the Madonna Inn had two great restaurants. We chose the Copper Cafe & Bakery because we wanted a light meal and casual dining. We had the spinach salad and Cesar Salad with chicken. Both salads were huge and very good. The chicken was very moist."

Our meal was delicious but our waiter really made our experience relaxing and enjoyable. This place is a definite tourist destination and I would recommend to anyone traveling to the Central Coast."

  • " The Copper Cafe and Bakery is an odd and delightful restaurant for any meal. While there is a "Disney" feel to the restaurant, the food is very good and the service is satisfactory. My family and I enjoyed breakfast and lunch entrees at the same meal, as my wife and son opted for eggs, bacon, and hash browns while my daughter and I enjoyed Caesar salad with chicken and the hot pastrami sandwich with fries. Copper Cafe is a very good choice when in San Lois Obispo, and a great "half-way stop" for those traveling between northern and southern California. We will definitely return."

  • "I went to the Copper Café with a few friends just to have the world-famous Madonna cake, and we were not disappointed. Upon arrival, we were seated right away, and the hostesses were very courteous and welcoming. The charming interior décor of the café was a delight to see, as was the whole of the Inn. The red leather booth we accommodated felt very comfortable, and perfectly fit our party of five with enough room left to easily seat two or three more diners. Our server was fairly prompt and consistently chipper through our experience at the café, which was a welcome surprise for 9PM on a Saturday night. She addressed our every inquiry and request, and even brought me a balloon for my birthday! It was certainly a delightful evening."

  • "I made reservations the previous evening for four people at 10:15am. I entered the Copperpot five minutes before my schedualed reservation and I was seated within one minute of my arrival. We had an excellent and knowledgable waiter who was quick to answer any questions we had for him. You can be sure I will be a future customer many times over. "

  • "They didnt honor my reservation even though they said they had full record of it. The restaurant was nearly empty of customers, yet all of the tables that I had specfically requested were occupied by non-reservations. We finally sat at one of our desired tables when it was vacated. My wife sat on the end of the table so she could look out the window, but the manager on duty insisted that she move for ADA reasons though none of the tables behind her were ever occupied and the manager could easily have moved one. Many food items arrived without all the ingredients that were listed on the menu and we had to haggle to get them. We saw the busboy talking with manager about these but she never apologized to us. Service has severely declined."

  • "Eggs Benedict- eggs very hard boiled when they were ordered runny. Hard poached eggs for corned beef hash, were ordered, and they were runny to the point the whites were not cooked. Long wait. Had to ask twice for coffee refill. For a $60 breakfast..really poor experience overall. I will never go back for breakfast, but do enjoy the lunches. Always take visitors to see the place, and have enjoyed the place every time until this last time."

I Loved booking with Open Table - it was fast, easy and everyone got the rsvp by email. Food was amazaing and the atmosphere is really one of a kind. "

  • "Wow! This was like stepping back into the 50's or 60's! A family diner with big menu serving full course meals at the table all the way to have a cup of coffee and a slice of pie at the counter. Very dated interior with lots of copper accents, however very clean. Friendly staff (waitresses in old style uniforms) and large portions. It's an experience for sure. Must had been a real popular diner/cafe back years ago. Food was fine, but definitely not memorable."
