Diner Reviews
  • "The food was very good. The wine average. The service friendly but unaccomodating. Copa Neds to up its game to be truly Brazilian."

  • "We have been to several brazilian barbeque restaurants, and this was definitely the worst. The food was not hot, it had fatty and gristly pieces in it, and there was not enough variety (it was nearly all beef based). And what is usually the best part, the cinnamon sugar covered pineapple, included several slices that were the center of the pineapple (the part that is so hard you can't eat it), and the cinnamon sugar was all cinnamon and no sugar. The salads were just ok. The service was very good. Overall, we were very disappointed, and will not be going there again. Instead, I recommend you go to Rodizios in Stamford, an excellent Brazilian barbeque (and significantly cheaper). We have been there many times and its always great."

  • "we had made reservations a few weeks prior to going. When we got there they had two parties going so we had to be seated in the back part of the restaurant which was a separate room all together from the salad bar. Very inconvenient to walk back and forth. We should have been notified."

  • "The steaks, sausages, etc are excellent here. The top sirloin is fantastic. Bark is incredible tasting. I'd say that the salad bar is adequate at this price point... but would be nicer if there was more of a selection and it was larger."

  • "Wonderful atmosphere and spectacular food. An experience not to be missed."

  • "Food was great but make sure you bring your appetite. They have so many great cuts of meats seasoned to perfection. GO HUNGRY, you’ll leave stuffed. Salad bar was OK but I didn’t go there for salad."

  • "Must say I over indulged. Salad bar =awesome. The service great. I was hungry & my eyes were bigger than my stomach but I was still at it and had 3/4 of a plateful and they were very cordial in giving me take-out for the rest of my salad which I thought was awesome. There were n't many varieties of meat but with the 3-4 that were served (and I have never been to a Brazillian rest), the meat was prepared well & really without seasonings so I tasted the true flavors and appreciated the salad bar again to compliment my meats. Maybe that is why I was eating so much...Normally I cook w/ heavy spices &eat less. My kids said they have gone to this sort of a place and likewise the 3 of them (19,22,23 yrs old) all really appreciated the nite out."

  • "I have been to this restaurant several times and I have not been disappointed. The food is great as well as the drinks. It is best to go in a group."

  • "The selection of meats brought around to your table was astounding! From lamb to pork to ten different cuts of beef. All were perfectly cooked and so tender! The wait staff took care of your every need an your plate was never empty. Great experience!"

  • "Wines by the bottle were $25. Very casual spot to stuff yourself on endless salad bar and oodles of bar-b-cue mets"

  • "I was rather disappointed..we were the only table & the meats were rather dried out. Being the only table, should be the other way around. When another large table came in, the quality of the meat improved drastically & the meat was cooked to perfection & was delicious. As was the cuts of meat. So, with that said, I MIGHT give them another try on a busy night..which really doesn't make sense The salad bar needs improvement as well. The service & attention was terrific though."

  • "If you're a meat lover, you won't be disappointed at this restaurant. The menu calls it Rodízio but the all-you-can-eat option is more like churrascaria. The waiter seemingly floats from person to person, table to table, with a large knife and moist succulent roasted meat speared on large skewers. We went as a large group of 8 and it was a fun experience. The only downside was the drinks - they just weren't good. They should think about getting a new bartender..."

  • "They have two sides of the menu - buffet (too much food for me and everyone else at the table) and a la carte. We ordered from the a a carte menu. It was a great salad - lots and lots of choices, and the steak was great. I had flank steak, my husband had other choice. It was an enormous amount of steak and we could take home the leftovers. If you order from the buffet side of the menu you are not allowed to take home leftovers. We definitely have enough steak for another meal. The desserts was also large, but an additional cost. We felt for approximately $50 per person, it is a great deal."

  • "Very nice Rodizio - the skirt steak is the jewel on the menu. Service is great. The salad bar was a bit sparse however. Overall it is worthy of a return visit for a nice hearty meal. Not a recommendation for fine-dining."

  • "Amazing as they pass around 14 different types of meat. The salad bar is good also for vegetarians, but be aware there is meat around everywhere!"

  • "Waiters bring different cuts of meat to the table and slice some off for you. Self-serve salad bar wasn't anything special. Mostly fresh, but some of the cold salads looked unappetizing. Lettuce, dressing and some standard accompaniments. The rolls on the table, a cheese/bread mix were amazing and the size of big doughnut holes...they went quick. The meats were good, a wide selection of every cut of beef, several sausage varieties and one chicken. All were cooked well and tasted good. Sides were okay. The one thing is price. Yes, you get a TON of food. If everything else was as good as the meat and presented better, this place would be excellent. As it is, it's a very expensive buffet with a twist."

  • "Place and service were nice, food was OK (pretty average compared to other Brazilian "rodizios"), but way overpriced."

  • "We had a lovely Girls Day Out at this restaurant. We were seated right away and the staff is attentive. I have dined there before so I knew the food would be great. Nice little gem in the neighborhood"

  • "So much meat, so much time... Dozen varieties, not all great but just a few good ones is enough to satisfy anyone and you leave stuffed and happy."

  • "Loved our dining experience! The atmosphere was especially festively done for Christmas. There is wide selection of meats (14 selections) carved from the skewers as well as a delightful Buffet. Definitly something for everyone! The wait staff were atentive and they didn't rush you. We had a pitcher of Sangria and it was also delightful. A great find and we will be back with friends!"

  • "The meat parade was quite good but the service was almost too efficient to the point of feeling rushed and over-serviced. Meats were all excellent, sides and salad bar were good but certainly not gourmet. All in all, a fun outing for groups of meat lovers, but not an exercise in elegant dining."

  • "We gave eaten at Copacabana several times and have never been disappointed. The food is delicious and never-ending. You can pace your meal too by turning your card to red temporarily to stop the flow of food. The pitcher of Mojitos was a great addition to the meal too! We will definitely return."

  • "i had been to this location in its previous incarnation but this was my first visit as Copacabana. i'm happy to say that this incarnation is a much nicer experience. the Rodizio was excellent. the best cut was the skirt steak, very very tasty. my only complaint was how long it took to be seated even with open table reservation. Checking in was a huge confusion. we kept being told the hostess would see us but .... no hostess. then someone came over and asked again if she could help us and we stated we had a reservation. she went away, then the "hostess" came over and said to us that "we have no table". after the mass confusion at getting a table, i had no complaints."

  • "Gotta love meat to eat here! Nice salad bar, waiters come around with different cuts of meat, and slice it off for you. Tasty, easy to overeat, but fun!"

  • "Starting with a very adequate and well-stocked salad bar, which can fill you up all by itself, you then turn your card over to green for the beginning of the skewered meat parade. All of the meats offered were tasty and properly cooked. The service was outstanding, always having a filled water glass or another drink, and very friendly. After gorging oneself on an endless array of meat, they then offer you a dessert menu, which includes flans of many flavors, cheesecake, or a brownie sundae. You will not have to eat for a couple of days!!!"

  • "Four of us met for dinner before going to a show at the Capitol Theater. Location is great...large municipal parking lot out back, walking distance to the theater. We opted out of the "meat parade" and instead got entrees and salad bar. Two of us got skirt steak, two got the top sirloin. Meat was cooked as requested and well seasoned. All meals came with rice, beans and a DELICIOUS salsa/relish type thing. Onions, spicy peppers and maybe tomatoes (?) in a vinegary liquid. Perfect way to cut the richness of the meat. Salad bar was okay...nothing too special."

  • "This restaurant has a great salad bar, filled with shrimp, mussels, every kind of vegie, cheese, even sushi, terrific. But you must leave room for the varied type of meat which comes by very often by the waiters. You get to taste many different types of meat, which are quite good. Come hungry, lots of great treats."

  • "This was a wonderful place for my boyfriend's birthday dinner. I came in from Virginia so I had no idea what to think. But the resturant and making a reservation was so easy. The food was delicious and the staff so friendly and helpful."
