A word from Cooper's Mill
Located at 670 White Plains Road (Route 119) in Tarrytown, the new restaurant offers a diverse menu ranging from signature flat breads to fresh vegetable dishes, and entrees featuring meat and seafood sourced from local purveyors.
One of the premier dishes on the menu is the 20-ounce Grilled Rib Eye Steak served with broccoli rabe and wild mushroom butter. The menu also includes more basic sandwiches that feature artisanal and specialty ingredients.
Five flat breads are a signature feature of the menu -- fresh mozzarella, tomato sauce and fresh basil; Coach Farms goat cheese, arugula, heirloom tomato and truffle oil; fig, bella bella duck prosciutto, gorgonzola and scallion; portobello, wild mushroom puree, red onion and fontina; and house made ricotta, local mozzarella and caramelized onion – all baked in the custom-made wood-fired oven.

We found this place on trip advisor.com on a recent trip to see the Halloween happenings in Sleepy Hollow. It's in the lobby of a hotel, which I didn't realize when I booked it, so I think that's why there were so many groups coming in, in suits, etc. Must have been a business conference nearby. Anyway, food was really good, and a great variety. I would go back if I was in the area.

The food was OK but hardly matched the prices. In my reservation I noted we had to leave by 7:00 for a timed event. When I arrived at 5:30 I verified this with both the maitre d and our server. At 6:50 I tapped my watch to the server. He replied, "Don't worry." When our food arrived at 6:55 he announced, "See, I told you not to worry." We bolted our food and skipped our daughter's birthday cake that we arranged for the meal's end.

Shame on me for reading Farm to Heath, skimming reviews, looking at website pictures, and completely missing that this is a hotel restaurant, not the little gem in town I thought I'd found as usual through Open Table. We'd never been to Tarrytown and were excited to try a new OT find. Shame on reviewers for giving this restaurant 5 stars…. Shame on the restaurant for billing themselves as anything more than a decent sports bar, and setting expectations quite differently. The food was very overpriced for what it was and very underwhelming for "Farm to Hearth. Come on folks it's a hotel bar restaurant - a decent burger, a tiny pea shoot salad with a smear of NOT homemade humus, and good enough but NOT 'signature' flatbread'.

I am thankful to have found this gem with the help of Groupon. I have been twice, and very pleased both times. The menu is exciting, with so many options from appetizers, to small plates to entrees. I love sweets and was not very excited with the dessert menu, but after the great meal that was not a big deal. Their wine, beer and handmade cocktails menu is also quite impressive. Juan has been my waiter both times. He is fantastic! So energetic, friendly and courteous. I will certainly be returning again and again.

The menu choices and food presentation were extra special for a hotel restaurant spot. I was expecting a quick coffee shop lunch atmosphere, but was greatly surprised at the professional service, food and display. I enjoyed the pastrami on rye with melted cheese, which was served on a wooden board. My husband had a chorizo flatbread and absolutely savored each bite. We also had a superb breakfast, as well. The oatmeal was served with separate bowls of brown sugar, cranberry compote, golden raisins and a very large bowl of steel cut oats. The eggs benedict was equally as good.

Billed as farm to table but really factory produced food. Wait staff very nice but uneducated in ingredients in food. Limited GF options. Basically, if you want farm to table, do not go here. If you want a regular dinner a bit nicer than TGIFs or similar, this is a good option.

Some of the items on the menu had strange ingredients, but everything we ordered was excellent. A little disappointed in the dessert menu, especially since I left "room" for it. We ended up passing because all the desserts were odd (soy sauce cookie??), even the ice cream flavors.

The appetizer special (artichokes prepared 3 ways) was laughably tiny. The waitress should've let us know that it was not sufficient for 3 people. The main course was excellent. Waitstaff was very nice, although a little slow considering the restaurant only had a few tables seated.

Very much enjoyed our meal there - wait staff was very friendly. Good local beer selection and bar tender made an excellent virgin version of one of their cocktails for my wife. Food was quite good with the calamari, burgers, and crab cake sandwich being the standouts. Only thing that fell a little short was the artichoke flatbread, not because of taste but because it was hard to eat/messy.

It was a very modern looking restaurant with good good. I was surprised it was in the Marriott. The food was pretty good but slightly expensive for what it was. They had a nice cocktail menu and the blood orange jalapeño a margarita was excellent. The homemade ice cream selection we had for dessert was quite interesting which included goldfish s'mores and semolina olive ice cream. They also have a back room gif private parties!

My wife and I were blown away by this restaurant! The menu offerings are great for both and adventurous foodie like myself, and someone like my wife who enjoys simple dishes. The fired asparagua appetizer is excellent. My wife had a grilled chicken sandwich that had the BEST pesto, and i had the juiciest lamb chops that i have ever eaten. the craft beer list is extensive, and the watermelon basil mojito is incredible! you MUST try the ice cream as well. We had a bowl of the Spiced Broccoli flavor and it was AWESOME!!!!

This is a farm-to-table restaurant imposter. We had a beet salad that had cubed pieces of just red beets, but no golden or other color that a true FtT place would do), Mushroom flatbread was pretty good. I had the chicken sandwich and the chicken was very dry. My wife’s crab cake was excellent, mostly crab. For dessert, I was tempted to get a ricotta and peach flatbread dessert, until I remembered that it was May and peaches aren't fresh. Would a real farm-to-table restaurant serve peaches in May? I don’t think so. Service was friendly but what you’d expect from a hotel restaurant. The restaurant was EXTREMELY loud. We were seated in the room attached to the bar. The other room which was right off the lobby would have been a better choice.

Cooper's Mill has an inventive menu using locally sourced ingredients. Caesar salad was huge and tasty. Scallops and risotto had great flavor. The cheese board and pana cotte were divine. Great selection of wines and beers, but prices are a little steep. Atmosphere is fake barn in hotel lobby. Very cold and industrial in feel. The service must improve. Everyone seems to try, but the results are extremely uneven. A little better decor and improved service will make this place a slam dunk.

Flatbread appetizers are really delicious as are salads. I can't recommend succulent seared scallops over saffron risotto because the excess salt on the shellfish makes the coating crustier but brackish. Wines by the glass are excellent and nicely filled.

We wanted to try a new place for restaurant week and thought Cooper's Mill had an interesting menu--and still do. We were right about the food, which was good, but would have been better had we not had to wait so long for everything, including water--which we practically had to stand up and wave to get. Our salmon entrees were good, except for the fact that my friend got all fingerling potatoes with hers, while I got all cauliflower. Our waiter was really trying, very nice and was well aware how slow everything was. At the end of our meal, however, we again had to wave to get the check. Would like to go back for the food, but the service is scaring me away!

The menu says "current, fresh and tasty", the vibe says "I'm cool and rustic", the cocktail and beer choices say "I am up with the latest trends and locally sourced ethic". How it all played out was a little less than it first appeared. The drinks were, in fact, great. And the ambiance was, in fact, very cool. However, the food (which is the most important part), was just a few notches above average. I really wanted to like it more, but each dish seemed to be lacking something to send it over the top. Nothing to really complain about - and dessert was GREAT, but overall, it was good, not great. If you get a room in the hotel and avail yourself of the cocktail list THEN it's great :)

Went for Restaurant Week with friends for lunch. Restaurant is big with lots of different areas - booths, tables and chairs, high tables and chairs, etc. Atmosphere was very comfortable with lots of wood and spread out so you don't feel crowded. Our server was excellent. He gave us suggestions, was very attentive and even exchanged an item that was not to my friend's taste. Since we only had the Restaurant Week lunch choices we didn't get to try some of the other items on their regular menu, but everything we had was very good - burger, chicken sandwich and turkey blt. I would definitely recommend Coopers Mill!

Although Cooper's Mill sounds nice, the farm to table concept is something that needs to be believed and acted upon and not just described to market and decorate. Everyone was very accommodating and nice, but the food was VERY overpriced and either very over seasoned or not seasoned at all. I am not even sure how farm to table* Cooper's Mill actually is, since it is a Marriott restaurant. This is why I hesitated going at all, but it was a last minute decision to try, and my original feeling was correct. We spent more on this meal, without getting alcohol, than most other similar and genuine restaurants in Manhattan, with drinks. *Example-Sour Patch Gummies homemade ice cream... Very disappointing, and very much a hotel restaurant.

Despite having made a reservation and being on time for that reservation, we were seated at a high-top table near the bar vs. within the dining room. We were told that it would be another 15 minute wait if we wanted to eat in the dining room. It felt like it took really long to get our drinks and no bread was brought to the table until after our appetizers arrived and I had to ask for it. One of our dinners was incorrect and it took another 15 minutes for it to arrive. The cod was dry and tasteless and the polenta was cold. Despite the error on my friend's dinner, the waitress offered no real apology (a complimentary dessert would have been nice) but the dessert we ordered was bland and soggy.
