Diner Reviews
  • "We have been to Cooper's Hawk many times and have always had a great meal and service. The servers know the menu well and explain it with great enthusiasm. The wines are wonderful and I love being able to try one prior to purchasing a glass. We are part of the monthly wine group and have always enjoyed the wine we receive each month. We will continue to dine at Cooper's Hawk."

  • "As a wine club member I enjoy eating at the bar and in the dining room. When I made the reservation I asked for a quite table for two away from the rest of the crowd. We were seated in a booth where when seated we faced a wall of booths. Not exactly what I asked for. So, I dismissed it. We ordered an appetizer that we only got two bites of before our entrees were brought out. Timing was not right. The waitress seemed to be aware that the delivery was not timed correctly. The rest of our visit was great. We enjoyed our meal and as time passed we were only one of two or three diners in our area. We ordered desert and took it home. It was the key lime pie..... simply delicious!Thank you for asking me about my experience."

  • "We went for a late Easter lunch. The restaurant was busy but not where every table was being used. It took about 10 minutes to get a Diet Coke. The server didn't tell us the specials until we were ready to order. Asked if we wanted complimentary pretzel bread (why wouldn't this just be served?!) but it never came. Once she noticed that we didn't get the bread she brought it over. The food was great! The lunch size and life balance menu items were perfectly sized. Ate the entire meal but wasn't stuffed, wasn't hungry either."

  • "At the last minute we decided we did not want to cook for Easter! We called around downtown only to find outrageous brunch prices from most where others no reservations but a first come first serve scenario. After church with two kids we weren't going to chance waiting! We went online and booked a reserv for Coopers Hawk. We all enjoy their food and were excited for brunch. The restaurant is beautiful, the food is great, and service good. There was not a brunch per say which was a little disappointing but our meal was still great! The only complaint was the children's sundae which costs 1.99 is a scoop of vanilla with caramel sauce. Obviously we had two unhappy kids that we then has to buy strawberries for! Overall met our expectations."

  • "I recently had the best pork medallions there! Would have loved some homemade applesauce with them. And my husband's seafood dinner was equally great he said. "

  • "My wife and I are regulars at Cooper's Hawk in Brookfield, and we are wine club members. I had not previously eaten any of the chopped salads so I tried the Napa Chicken salad. My first bite was incredible, an explosion of flavor. The apples, goat cheese, dried cherries, and other ingredients along with the honey vinaigrette dressing worked very well together. It was one of the best salads I have ever had. My wife had the chicken linguini reggiano, one of her favorites, and she was not disappointed. We added a bottle of sauvignon blanc, and it was an excellent paring for both of us. Although we initially planned to have dessert, we could not (likely too much pretzel bread); so we concluded dinner by finishing our bottle of wine. "

  • "VERY, VERY noisy. There was 7 of us and we could NOT carry on a conversation among the table. In addition, they had us cramped in between 2 tables, we had a very difficult time getting in/out. It was rather uncomfortable. Will not go back."

  • "My husband and I LOVE Cooper's Hawk Winery. Any chance we have without the kids this is the place we go. The food is AMAZING and the wine is even better! My husband doesn't care for wine but he is still able to find something enjoyable to drink with their great menu. Everytime I try something new because it's always so great. You will not be disappointed. Best bet is to make a reservation! "

  • "Open table made it easy to make our reservation for 7. We had a great time, awesome food and service! We celebrated my daughters birthday, which they acknowledged with a special birthday dessert! It's a can't miss!"

  • "Party of 3. Everyone loved the service, wine, and lunch selections. The lobster & crab bisque and chopped wedge salad were wonderful, as were our entrees. We will be back."

  • "My husband and I went to Cooper's Hawk for my birthday dinner. We joined the wine club a few months ago so we received $15 off an entrée. The wine is very good and we enjoy doing the wine tasting, even if we don't eat there. I ordered the surf and turf and my husband ordered the special of the night which was lamb. Both were wonderful."

  • "We arrived 30 min. prior to our reservation. We have not been at the restaurant b/4 and the host just told us to come back closer to our time. It would have been nice if she would have pointed out the bar that it tucked in behind them. We only saw the "bar" in the entrance area and it was crowded so we went for a drink to the restaurant next door. We tried some of the wine but the only one I liked was the shiraz and the other 3 members of our group chose to stick with long drings and water. However the food was outstanding. We ordered the appetizer sampler and loved it. My husband had the squash and he thought it was the best he ever had. We would definatly come back and try out the bar (not so much the wine)"

  • "This was my second visit to Cooper's Hawk, and I will be going back for a third, etc. We had a party of ten out for a birthday celebration, and everyone was comfortably able to enjoy wine, appetizers, entrees and chocolate covered strawberries. The pricing is extremely reasonable for filet, seafood, etc., and has an overall very inviting atmosphere. I know it's a salad, but the wedge salad is amazing as well. Make sure to try a sample of any of the wines you may consider - it is all complimentary and you can do it at your dining table or at the wine bar out front. I highly recommend for a nice night out."

  • "We came with a group at lunch to celebrate a birthday. There is a nice selection of foods with something for all tastes and diets. Prices for lunch options are good. It was a nice touch that the birthday person received a chocolate dipped strawberry and chocolate candy."

  • "Started with crab and lobster bisque which was chunky and not from seafood. The vegetables were still crunchy. The pork medallion entree was lukewarm. I've been here a few times and I think this was my last visit. Every time the food comes out its not hot. And it's just so-so for the price. There are so many better restaurants in the Milwaukee area at this price point that are far superior."

  • "Dillon, the hostess was awesome, suggesting the pre meal wine flight tasting, and accommodating my seating times for dinner. Taylor, a new employee, really made us feel welcome and treated us like kings during our 8 glass wine tasting. Try the rhubarb desert wine! Russ the general manager never lost his smile on a very busy night, and checked on us during our dinner. The lobster crab bisque and salmon was to die for but the potatoes, and shrimp were cold, the vegetables were overcooked and the wedge salad wilted. The real problem was our server Karli. She took a long time to get to our table, seemed discouraged she had us, didn't check back or clear our courses prior to the next one, didn't refill water when empty, and messed up our to go."

  • "The night started out rocky at the wine bar. We have been there multiple times and always had a great experience, however this time we were served by a very rude bartender. Once we got to our table out night went from a 2/10 to 10/10! Our waitress was awesome! Answered questions, gave great advise, and made the experience very enjoyable. The food was amazing as always and we enjoyed the Brookfield dining meal options very much!"

  • "Overall, a very nice experience. Good food, nice atmosphere and of course the wine. However, I felt the wine was a bit overpriced....8.50 for a glass? I think they have overpriced it a bit to try and compete with the next level of restaurants. I think if they dropped the wine price a bit - they would even get more business. I expect to pay that at Eddie Martinis - but not here."

  • "Coopers Hawk in Brookfield has become very popular and a reservation is likely necessary whenever you plan to dine, particularly on Friday or Saturday. The noise level is also quite high due to its popularity. We are members of the wine club, so we always have a good bottle of wine waiting for us; you can request a taste of any wine you would like to try. My wife likes shrimp, and although the menu does not include many shrimp entrees, she ordered the Angel Hair Neapolitano with the shrimp substitute, which was very good. I had the crab cake entrée, which includes 3 crab cakes, Betty's potatoes, and green beans--all were very good. We were unable to finish our dinners, so we both needed a box to go. Our server was very attentive."

  • "My husband and I went for a celebratory weekend and they surpassed my expectations. We are not wine drinkers, but the menu intrigued me and I wanted to try a wine with it. We each got a free sample wine (I think because it was our first time there) which was great because I could make sure I liked the wine I was thinking of getting! The food was very good and what topped this experience was that it was upscale, fine dining atmosphere, romantic and quiet (even though there were some kids there), but you can comfortably wear jeans!"

  • "My friend was recommended to Copper's Hawk and for my birthday I though I would try something different. So a few friends and I got together and decided to try it. I'm glad we made reservations, it was very busy but I didn't feel like I was crowed. The wine was great. It was nice to be able to try a sample before we ordered. It was nice to not just stick with what I usually go with for a safe route. The food was very good. I would defiantly go back or recommend it to others."

  • "My sisters and I made a reservation for lunch where the location would be good for all of us. None of us had been there before. We had a quiet table in the back. The waitress was very nice and patient as we talked and considered menu items. The food was outstanding. We went after the lunch crowd peak time and it was perfect. I definitely plan to take my husband and son to Cooper's Hawk soon. The entry area with wine bar, seasonings and some fun gifts added to an enjoyable experience."

  • "Awesome food, wine and service! The only thing I didn't know was that the pork had a lot of horseradish in it. I would have ordered different based on that. Otherwise it was great and a great experience. I will be back."

  • "Highly recommend the wine of the month-a Riesling...or the Pinot noir-Malbec blend....we also had a pitcher of peach sangria at the table once we sat down (celebrating my birthday) and it was delicious. Tried the short rib risotto- good...and we always get the lobster/crab bisque and wedge salad to share as a starter. The pretzel bread with the bisque is amazing."
