This time I took wife, two young daughters (6 and 9) and family friend out for brunch. Nice setup, the food was good and they kept the buffet well stocked. Only complaint is the waiter, very friendly and was around for the first 20 minutes then it was like he disappeared. Our drinks sat empty and it took forever for him to notice when we were done. I want to say it was because they were busy but I don't know that they were so busy he couldn't show his face, something else must have been going on. All the other wait staff seemed to be helping the other tables no problem.

While there are other steak houses in the area Cool River stands out above the others especially if you are looking for an intimate setting or special occasion dinner. They don't pack the place with a lot of seating so you always have a semi-private area for that romantic evening. The menu changes and they always have nightly specials not on the menu. If you are dining with a larger group there are areas in the bar or upstairs for that. In the past we have their steaks which were also excellent. Our only problem here for the brunch was the buffet was set up downstairs and we were seated upstairs. There was an elevator but it does loose some of the ambiance when you take an elevator. I have been going to brunches at my father 's senior home for years, but he died in June 2012, so I had to start doing something

The restaurant is airy and spacious with a high dome ceiling. The service was excellent - we were seated immediately and our server was attentive and helpful The tenderloin steak salad was one of the best salads I have ever eaten.
