Cool River Cafe - DallasGreat dinning experienceCool River is a staple in Las Colinas. Its great to know that when I walk into Cool River, I will receive great service and the food will be amazing. This time was no different. Every plate presented to us was phenomenal and the dessert was a perfect end - I highly recommend the Tres Leches!

The food is excellent. Get the filet!! To top it off thu-sat there is like music and dancing as well. The wait staff catered to our needs and we never had to wait for a thing. The food was outstanding across the board. I heard accolades about our team dinner all day the day after. I should add that the first time I attended a dinner hosted by someone else and the latest time, I was the host of the group. We got a special blackened trout and it was exceptional. After lunch we headed over to the bar to enjoy a cigar, and their selection was great. The capuccino was weirdly one of the best I have ever had. I bet this place has a great nighttime scene and I would love to return again but not sure when I will be back in Dallas (I'm from out of town). Had reservations and was told by the hostess "give me a minute". No problem, had lots to chat about so moved over to allow others in. Thirty minutes later I felt we were forgotten. Approached the hostess again since we were now the only ones in the lobby and was told that our table was now ready. Really?? That's why I made a reservation. Just be honest and tell me you messed up.

Everyone from the front door in are dedicated to making sure the customer has a unique and wonderful experience. We had dinner Saturday night so I listed in my special request to have a fresh flower and maybe a card for my wife saying happy birthday. I really didn't know if I should count on that happening.
Our server Dustin went above and beyond my expectations. Not only did he bring a rose with a card from the manager, but also brought Pamela a slice of wonderful chocolate cake with a candle for a wish (gratis) I was so impressed.
My family has been in the hospitality business for a long time and we were very impressed.

The bar area is a great place to hangout, but with those tobacco smokers made the event not a pleasant one. Walking out of the restaurant smelling of tobacco smoke was the worst.
