"One of the worst service experiences ever. Went for Easter brunch. Were seated in the back room (the dining room was not full) where it was freezing. Did receive water right away but no recognition from wait staff. Asked to be moved into the warmer dining room. Again, received water right away, but no recognition from wait staff. Luckily the pleasant hostess had told us, when she seated us, where the buffet was. We decided to get our food. Ate, went back for seconds and still no service. We felt invisible. When we returned to the table our plates and silverware had been cleared. My husband got up to get some from the table next to us when he bumped into the waiter and told him we had not been waited on. The waiter made no apology or"

"Easter Brunch: food was good and nice variety. Surprising that waiters were doing double and triple duty (the lady taking care of our table was often found bringing full serving platters into the buffet room). The young man bussing tables was very efficient and energetic. Considering the number of people in the restaurant, flow was rarely backed up. Noticed how helpful hostesses were with elderly guests."

"Unfortunately, we were VERY disappointed with our experience at Cool River. I have been there in the evening for steaks 4-5 occasions. I was very pleased with those experiences and so were our friends. However, the Easter brunch which they advertised was extremely disappointing! The food was cool, the meat tough, the buffet was messy and empty part of the time...it seemed as if nobody was around! Our waitress was not friendly and our overall experience was a HUGE disappointed for our Wonderful Occasion to celebrate Easter with friends. I will NOT go back to Cool River again!"

"The brunch buffet had very good flavor but the food was lukewarm when we first went through the line. They had just opened so I am not sure why it wasn't hot. Later as they opened a second buffet line, the food was steaming hot. The flavors were good and they had a nice mini kids-friendly buffet with kid friendly foods. The buffet overall was a good value for the money - not the best I have had but then again it didn't cost over $50 per person."

"At 8:00 p.m. on a Saturday night, only about 6 tables occupied in the main dining room but a large party in another room. This was the reason given as to very slow kitchen but wait service was extremely slow as well. Food was only fair. Prime rib had almost no flavor/taste. Not sure if they cared more about their large party but certainly little attention given to the main dining room."
