A word from Cook & Collins
Important Message
We experienced AC problems this past week Aug 4th through 10th. We worked each day trying to resolve. Sunday at 8am we believe the solution was found. If not, we will keep trying until it is.
Valet parking is Complimentary to our customers while they are dining at Cook & Collins. This is a deal we worked out with the building complex that operates the valet for the property.

This restaurant had a different menu and I loved the decor. I had to Just a Turkey Club which was really tasty and different from "just a turkey club." I will be back."

  • "Awesome Place! I believe the AC was broke so it was quite warm inside and mixed with alcohol, not too fun. But the service, food and cocktails made up for it. Went for Happy hour but I wouldn't consider it a reasonable venue for happy hour...no real "specials". I spent $70 for happy hour, not ideal. Overall, very nice place if you're a foodie and love great drinks!"

  • "Menu descriptions sounded playful and interesting. Food did not even come close to what was described. Everything was grossly under seasoned, i.e. very bland. I had a pork belly dish. Anything with pork belly should be heaven but it was overcooked to the point of being stringy and chewy. So sad! Ambiance was nice and outdoor patio looks fun for drinks when the weather gets better. Portions were quite large too, not that it matters when food isn't great. Desserts came out of a microwave :("

  • "Four of us ate here on a Monday night. We were able to hear each other talk without yelling. It was a very relaxed atmosphere. We did not feel rushed so the table could be turned. Not sure how it is on the weekends, but we really enjoyed Monday. The food was very good and the cocktails were well mixed. Participation in Restaurant Weeks is a plus."

  • "My girlfriends and I tried this place out for Sunday brunch for the first time and loved the open, airy, covered patio space upstairs and downstairs. We wanted to try everything all at once bc the menu was full of really interesting pairings! Duck tacos, Mac n chz crab rolls, French toast w pineapple, bacon, jalapeño, rockin egg-white omelettes, so many delicious and healthy versions in their salads, flatbreads, entrees, desserts! This has quickly become a favorite and soon to be regular spot for me!!"

Great salad with really fresh lettuce too. Also, very excellent service! However, it is a young crowd scene, with boisterous diners and loud music. The mixed drinks appear to be the attraction, because our wine was poured short."

  • "It was a Wednesday evening and I had the Cobb Louise salad. I want to be sure and say it wasn't "bad" but it was not the same quality salad that one of my friends had on a Saturday evening just two weeks ago. Let me explain, again, it was okay, but clearly pre-made. Everything was not crisp and freshly made, but tasted overly chilled and refrigerated for a while. The eggs hard boiled egg yolks didn't fall out easily as they would if just made and the shrimp were not "crisp". Again, NOT A BAD EXPERIENCE, it was just disappointing to have a salad that was pre-made at such a nice place with a reputation for quality food."

The portion size was generous and the waitress was attentive. For dessert, we had the bread pudding and it was also tasty!   • "Portions at C & C are quite large, but oh so worth it. We had brunch before the theater. We arrived earlier than our reservation, were seated promptly and greeted by our waitress right away. We had a starter which we could have skipped if we'd know the portion sizes, but it was a yummy cinnamon roll. We had the french toast and ginger waffles. Both delicious. Can't wait to go back and try something else. The whole menu sounded tempting. Bloody Mary was outstanding."

  • "We were in town for a wedding and made Father's Day brunch reservations via Open Table. We loved this place! They have a great outdoor patio on front, but in Houston in June, we opted to sit indoors. To start off, the 4 of us shared a carafe of the Bellini, made with our favorite Tito's Vodka, and also ordered the Sinaroll (cinnamon roll with bacon icing) and the famous crab rolls (crab meet, macaroni, sun dried tomatoes and truffle dip). For our main dish, I had the classic Benedict. I loved it! My dad also ordered the eggs Benedict, my husband got the Party Fowl flatbread, and my mom ordered the French toast. All the food was delicious, and we're looking forward to coming back next time we're in town!"

  • " My husband had the delicious steak. I had the scallops and they were delicious. House salad with house dressing . The choices of the desserts was limited. Brownie, Butterscotch everything (ice cream, tart, etc) and we had the apple bread pudding which had no flavor but was very sweet. We didn't finish it. In fact the waitress said we would get it free but we didn't."

  • "We went to Cook & Collins before the ballet. They were absolutely great at making sure we were out on time to get to the show. The service was great not hovering but also not absent. We got the scallops which were good but not great and the burger, which according to my boyfriend, was really good. The fries were great and the brussels sprouts were pretty good. All in all, we enjoyed the restaurant, but it is not one of our top favorites."

  • "Cook & Collins was awesome! I went there for brunch before an afternoon ballet. The food was excellent and so was the service. In fact, the service was so quick that we had extra time before the ballet and stayed for a few extra drinks. I highly recommend the Bloody Mary -it us a meal within itself! Ginger snap waffles and eggs Benedict were amazing! Reasonably priced food and a great atmosphere! Overall, I thought this was a great restaurant and I will definitely be back for dinner soon!"
