We decided to try Coohills after reading on their website that they were happy to work with dietary restrictions and that is sometimes a challenge with a vegan and a gluten-free pescatarian! We were greeted warmly as we walked in the door, were shown to a great table in the beautiful dining room and had a personal review of the menu letting us know what each could have and what we could share. The sangria was some of the best we've ever had and the food was spectacular. We would highly recommend Coohills to all.

Ate at Coohills during their third annual wine dinner with Rodney Strong Vineyards. The food was truly amazing. Each course was perfectly prepared and delicious. The wines were okay but really the food was great. If one were to have the opportunity to join this event in the future, I would recommend the family dining option as that was a lot of fun as well

The decor and ambiance is great. We ordered the watermelon app and beet salad to start and both were excellent. They also have great bread. Oh! And the chef brought out some kind of pumpkin soup that was divine. However we ordered the salmon entrée expecting it would be really great but the salmon was overcooked and the rice was crunchy and undercooked.

Our first time at Coohills. We ordered a crab cake appetizer and a snail appetizer. Two of us ordered the lamb and one ordered the salmon for entree. The entrees arrived before the appetizers, but no big deal. The server took the entrees back to the kitchen immediately, the waiter comped us an extra glass of wine each, and the appetizers arrived shortly thereafter. Both were excellent, best snails I've ever eaten. $18 a little high for the crab cake, but it was excellent and fair sized, so we shared. Entrees were perfect. I also ordered the kale and apricot salad, which was unique and tasty. Chef/Owner Tom Coohills visited our table, and complimentary prosecco arrived to celebrate my birthday! On the pricey side but great meal!

They serve European-sized portions - if more restaurants served like this, the US population wouldn't be obese. However, if you rate restaurants' quality based on massive portions, you'll be disappointed. The food is exquisite, and the service is always impeccable. We had a business event in August, and everyone raved about the food. The crab cakes are "to die for." The NY strip steak was wonderful with a touch of a delicate mustard sauce. If you like great food, be sure to check out this restaurant. I took a vegetarian client and they prepared a special plate with truffles. I was almost willing to become a vegetarian for the evening because the truffles smelled so good!

The quality of the food and service was excellent. But it is too expensive for what you get. We had a very good crab cake appetizer, but $18 for one cake with nothing else? We had the tasty scallop/shrimp dish, but at more than $30, it was an appetizer-sized portion at an entree price. A beet "salad" consisted of 4 lonely little beets with a garnish of arugula and plain yogurt for $10. Three of us spent $100 for essentially appetizers and only two drinks, and still left hungry. Even at fancy restaurants I expect some semblance of reasonable value for the cost. However, I recommend it because of the quality of the food and great location looking across Speer from the Pepsi Center. Judge the value for yourself.

Coohills has a nice ambience and a pretty space. The cocktails were tasty. Our waitress was attentive and yet didn't hover. I was in town visiting a friend so it was nice to visit without constantly being interrupted and being asked if we were ready to order. The food was all very good. I'm not a fan of crab cakes because they usually have more breaking than crab. But these were made with just crab and were fresh. The fresh baked sourdough bread was fabulous. I will definitely eat there again next time I'm in Denver.

Not all kids like to eat at McDonalds! I have eaten here twice now with my children and both times the fact that I brought my children seemed to unnerve our servers. My children are well behaved with palettes just like their parents. I'm not asking you to have a children's menu but it would be great if you might consider serving your delicious meals in a smaller portion for your pint sized guests. And...don't look at me like I'm crazy for bringing my children nor make snide comments about how, "fine dining is a slower pace than other restaurants" as an excuse for not bringing water to our table for over 10 minutes after our arrival on a ninety degree day. That being said, the food is divine so when we return please greet us all graciously.

Coohills - despite a terrible name for a restaurant (it's the chefs last name ) the food here is wonderful. The location is also hard to find and there's only garage parking at $5 dollars. The menu reads wonderfully and makes you want to try everything. Have eaten here twice - the gazpacho is really a mushroom medley -so delicious I wanted to order a 2nd portion. The duck confit was classic and done perfectly. Lamb sirloin keeps calling me back for more. Desserts are all great especially the "peaches & cream". Would recommend to anyone who likes good food !

We had an early reservation (6PM) and only a few tables were occupied. We were seated promptly and our waitress was right over welcoming us. Overall some of the best service I've ever had. We started off splitting the cheese platter which was quite good. The blu cheese was some of the best I've tasted. We both had the arugula salad with almonds, and they were dressed to perfection. I had the strip steak, and my wife had the chicken. Both were outstanding. Had to skip dessert because we were both stuffed. It was a great evening with wonderful service and great food.

A special evening with a best friend of 20 years, we definitely picked the right place at the right time!! Coohills was amazing! I have an affinity for French food, and their quality, flavor and presentation were outstanding, also they were able to accommodate dietary needs! It was Thursday, the place was a little empty, but honestly we didn't mind having the privacy while there was a larger party on the other wide. Exceptional wine list, so extensive you flip through on an iPad! The two of us shared everything from the foie gras and beef tartar- Delicious! To Scallops with the best texture I've ever had! Melon salad with prosciutto, yum! And late-harvest not-to-sweet dessert wine with sorbet to finish it all off. I'll definitely be back!
