A word from Contigo Austin
Contigo Austin is a restaurant located in E. Austin, modeled after Contigo Ranch in South Texas.
The concept is pretty simple. Since we can"t have everyone down to the ranch, we wanted to do our best to bring the ranch to them.
We like to sit outside. We like to drink beer and cocktails. We like to eat good food. We like relaxed atmospheres with friendly service and warm hospitality. So that is what we strive to offer at Contigo Austin.
We describe our fare as "Fresh, Quality, Bar Food." We make things that we like to eat. We make things that go well with beer. We make bar food utilizing the freshest ingredients we can find.
We have been entertaining people at Contigo Ranch for over 30 years. It is the countless hunting trips, weekend retreats, cattle roundups, barbecues, parties and pachangas that serve as inspiration for this restaurant. Our goal is to offer the community a place to relax, commune and enjoy great food.

We hope you will join us.

I reserved a table for a group of 10, and I couldn't have been more pleased with how it went. Contigo has that revamped east Austin atmosphere with great outdoor lights and an expansive outdoor seating area. The server was delightful- he offered great recommendations and was perfectly witty and charming without being intrusive. I would recommend Contigo for its eclectic beer and cocktail list as well as a great atmosphere. It did get pretty crowded, so I am pleased that I secured a reservation.

The drinks were good. The food was okay but then again, I did not do a good job in really asking for an explanation. I made a reservation for 10 people at 10:30pm. A group of us got there at 10:15pm, I was underwhelmed with the welcome and attention received, they kept asking me if I was going to eat and what I was going to eat. I told them that our group just had dinner and that we were celebrating a birthday and that we wanted to have some drinks and some snacks. The manager told us that we could only be seated if we had dinnner, I brought up that I had a reservation again. The manager did me "the kind favor" of letting my group have the table I reserved three weeks in advanced. I did not agree with the reaction or hassle.

It was my first visit and we had a group. I thought it may be too hot to be outdoors but it was quite pleasant with the shade and fans/mister. Reservation process worked well. Waitress was very helpful with food, drink recs. Bottles of water (witout asking) while we perused menu were nice touch. We tried about six food menu items and several types of drinks and all were good or great. Prices were reasonable. I will go back and recommend it to others.

This place was wonderful. The menu/food was fantastic (try the fried green beans!), and we were surprised that with as high quality as the food was, how low the prices were. They accommodate big groups very well, and we had a TON of food, and lots to drink, and only ended up paying about $30/person. In my opinion, if you only have a weekend in Austin, this is one place you HAVE to go.

I organized a dinner party for my brother's birthday. We had a table for 8 around 5:30pm, perfect lighting for a late afternoon dinner. The food was fresh and top notch. Our server even hooked it up with a surprise cinnamon bun flavored icecream with a candle. Overall, I would highly recommend this place to my friends. Even for drinks and bar food, this location is unique and a hidden gem in austin.

Contigo has a wonderful atmosphere, bar and menu. I wouldn't come here again for a special occasion with a group because they were unable to accommodate my reservation. We were seated almost 30 minutes after our reservation time. And we were only seated then because my husband eventually approached a small group at a large table who had been finished since our arrival. I would come back in the future for casual evenings only.
