Diner Reviews
  • "We had:wings-way too salty. Kid's meal Mac and Cheese-a little salty.A burger-good. Fish taco-good. Crab quesadilla-a little salty. Lobster Risotto -so salty I am in sodium shock. So it seemed that half of what we ordered were overloaded with salt. Our service was mostly good. But after we ate the app, I made a comment to my server that the wings were too salty. He told me that's because of the soy sauce. Using soy sauce is not the excuse for a dish to be overly salty. I made to further complaint to the server after that. I did mention the problem to a manager later during the meal. She was more serious, apologized and asked if we wanted the chef to make something else for us. Unfortunately we didn't have to wait for another dish."

  • "It is a nice restaurant. The menu is different but fresh ingredients. I had the flat steak and they substituted roasted broccoli for the creamed kale. My friend had a wonderful trout entree. The quality of food and atmosphere is very good. I would recommend."

  • "My wife and I frequent many restaurants in the Marietta, Roswell area and we have found a gem in Common Quarter. The food is always different and of high quality. The service is very good and very friendly. The wine and beer selections are always good. Definitely one of the top restaurants in the area and we usually are there at least once a week"

  • "We went to Common Quarter on Saturday, June 28th. We made a reservation and glad we did. It got really busy after we got there. The food and service was amazing! So happy this restaurant is in East Cobb and close to us!"

  • "We've driven by a few times and decided to stop in for dinner. The food was very good. I had the BGE beef brisket which was delicious. It almost made me feel a little guilty for not using my own Big Green Egg more often. The service was good and our server was knowledgeable and friendly. We'd definitely return. The one negative was as a party of two we were seated along a long wall with a lot of two seat tables crammed in. We were so close to the tables on both sides that keeping track of all three conversations was distracting."

  • "Stopped by prior to seeing musical and food was fresh and delicious. I had the curry vegetables, and my friend had the pork sandwich. Her fries were some of the best I have had in long time, crispy outside and moist potato inside. A French fry where you can still taste the potato... Nice! The house cocktails were fun and a good balance of herbs and alcohol. I will go again."

  • "I had a wonderful time @ Common Quarter w/my three children on Father's Day. What a fun place! The food tastes great, looks good & is fresh. The food & drink menus are both deep enough & very creative. Not my first time there & I will be back. :)"

  • "Too expensive for only mediocre food. Had mushy risotto; husband had a so-so smoked pork sandwich. I was told I would be charged $3 to exchange succotash for plain old cooked greens. Spoke to manager who would not waive the fee. Really ridiculous!"

  • "1st time dining here was on Father's Day brunch... I wasn't aware that it was a buffet since I don't normally prefer buffets but was ok with it. The menu sounded like it was going to be good but the food was just o-k. I barely ate much of what I served myself- a little on the greasy side and flavors weren't that great. My husband and father thought it was o-k and ate more than I did. I don't know if their regular menu would be any better and am willing to possibly give it a try although not going to run out and try it that quick. There are too many other great restaurants out there to try, was definitely disappointed, thought we would have a little gem here in East Cobb."

  • "We dined here for the very first time on Father's Day based upon reviews from others. In lieu of the regular menu the restaurant offered a buffet. There were average to good offerings but nothing outstanding. Some of the food items were lukewarm and service was merely average. We had to request more drinks and our check. I got the sense that this is a fine restaurant but the buffet didn't deliver the message."

  • "This was the first time I did a brunch buffet at Common Quarter. Wonderful. It gave me a chance to try menu items I hadn't tried yet. Very enjoyable."

  • "I live about 5 miles away but drive past plenty of restaurants to reach Common Quarters. Food is fresh, creative but not too exotic. Love the outdoor dining. Casual atmosphere- nice for all groups including families."

  • "We very much enjoyed dinner with the family the other night. The chef and wait staff were very accommodating as our kids both have food allergies. We will be going back again soon!"

  • "... tipped me off to a great BBQ pork sandwich with homemade slaw that was fantastic! Also had the fish tacos that were excellent. Good service and a relaxed, casual atmosphere makes Common Quarter East Cobb a great neighborhood gem. "

  • "My girlfriend and I met there to catch up over a long dinner and drinks. We both work a lot and needed it. We satin the patio and Lindsay took great care of us. She knew about the food and recommended great wine. She was attentive and not pushy. Caroline- the manager even made her rounds to check on us. It was a quiet night for extended girl talk. Priceless. Thank you so much. "

  • "Had a fabulous Mother's Day brunch--everything was delicious! My only complaint would be portion size to cost ratio. Thought the drinks were on the small side for $10 a pop--especially at brunch."

  • "Similar in concept to Seed but more subdued and quieter. Excellent food - especially the appetizers."

  • "We went with our 5th grade graduates and had a wonderful time! The music was lovely, though a little loud if sitting outside, but lovely, just the same. The kids menu was such a steal! I had the spring vegetables over the golden rice..YUMMY! Loved our waiter!"

  • "Yes, Common Quarter is tucked away in a strip mall on Johnson Ferry Rd in East Cobb. Yes, it's next to Fresh Market, Chic-Fil-A, and Starbucks. And yes, it's a foodie gem hidden in the suburbs: a venture brought to you by Chris Talley and the guys from Muss & Turner's. This place is shaping up to be my favorite go-to spot for lunch, weekend brunch, supper, and drinks anytime. I love their Scrambles (spinach, mushroom & goat cheese) for brunch, while my husband swears by the Bananas Foster French toast, and my daughter adores the Crab Cake Benedict. My favorite lunch item is the Fried Green Tomato BLT (w/house made potato chips), at supper it's either the Grilled Angus Flat Iron Steak or the Griddled Shrimp Tacos. Try this place. "

The menus is creative, refreshing and is constantly changed which makes us want to come back. Always new versions of classics. Try the green pea hummus!"

  • "We arrived on a Wednesday evening to a nearly empty restaurant, never more than 1/3 full. Good hostess, ready to seat us. Half price on some fairly good wines. Wait staff a little less than attentive, but not bad, just missed the fact that one of our party did not have his drink. The onion truffle dip was ok, very similar to the old French onion dip. My lobster grilled cheese was very cheesy, but the lobster was tasteless and just ok. My wife's appetizer crab quesadillas were tasteless and the sauce was bland. My son's kielbasa was just ok, the in and out burger turned out to be the best of the nite. Our third visit, not ready for prime time."

  • "First off the service was outstanding and the staff are clearly enthusiastic.. The food was excellent other than one item.. The Fregola was just a dry blob of food... It needs to have a little more wetness to it .. I understand it is not meant to be Cioppino but this was even drier than Paella .. Oysters were fresh and wonderful as was everything else we had.."

  • "wow, they had Fregola. I love that pasta. never saw it on a menu. everything we had was delish "
