Diner Reviews
  • "This was our second visit and the food and service were great! 3 out of the 4 people in my party ordered the dinner special and it was outstanding. Will be back for a third visit soon!"

  • "We came here for dinner shortly after they first opened. It was WAY too busy / noisy, and the food and service were not up to par. We came back on a whim, and both of us were pleasantly surprised. Seems a bit pricey, but definitely coming back again."

  • "We love this group of restaurants. Local 3 is our favorite and we were not disappointed with Common Quarter. They have done a fantastic job with the decor. East Cobb needed a restaurant like this!"

  • "We went for Low Country Boil night but were enticed by other menu items. Started with Long Island oysters (and had to ask for pepper mill - a "must-have" with oysters). We learned about $1 oysters during happy hour - that's a deal we'll be back for! One of us had the Low Country Boil, with shrimp so fresh they were hard to peel. They were worth the work! Enjoyed the sausage and cornbread too. The Seared Georgia Mountain Trout entree was fabulous. Fish cooked to perfection served on a bed of well-seasoned veggies. The Warm Apple Cobbler was a nice finish. We appreciated the fabric-draped walls which dampened sound nicely. The restrooms were clean and nicely decorated. Overall a very comfortable feel. Will be back for oysters!"

  • "Our 7th dinner at Common Quarter was our best yet. CQ is top-notch restaurant experience and a welcome addition to the neighborhood. Whatever is in season as their fish of the day is what I always order, and it's as good as any meal you could have on the coast or elsewhere. I was raised on fresh seafood and am SO happy to have a go-to spot for shrimp, inventive fish entrees, etc. Nice wines and cocktails are plentiful if that floats your boat. Already looking forward to my next meal."

  • "Was our 1st visit to Common Quarter..nice menu selections...the chicken liver appetizer was extraordinary & is worth a return visit. Had very pleasant chat w/ owner/manager, who seemed genuinely interested & grateful for our feedback. Will definitely go back AND recommend it to our friends."

  • "The menu was deceptive. The chicken and dumplings were not chicken and dumplings but chicken and gnocci. The oysters were so small and very expensive as were the shrimp. They served no bread. The beer list had only craft beers. Nothing we recognized. The wine list was limited. The flounder was good but not exceptional especially for the price. Our waiter was great. He was knowledgable of the menu and was very attentive."

  • "Outstanding night out. We have two small kids so my husband and I don't get out for nice dinners often by ourselves. We were so thrilled with every part of our dining experience at Common Quarter this past Friday night. Drew was our server and he was outstanding. Very knowledgable and helpful. The food was delicious. We will definitely go back. Excellent job CQ."

  • "We have been dining at Common Quarter for several months and really enjoy the food, appetizers, variety of IPA beers and wines. They have a great outdoor area with a fire place and heaters that make a cool evening a real enjoyment. They are trying new dishes constantly so we enjoy different items when we go there. The brunswick stew is great for lunch."

  • "Bottle of Americano Petite Sirah split between friends with shrimp and deviled egg appetizer by the fire before migrating into the main hall with impeccable service that delivered crab cakes, meatballs, cooked greens, risotto, fish tacos, book ended with a Robert Reynolds Petit Sirah, and an exclamation point of banana pudding leading to four memories not soon lost. Every item stood on two feet and held it's chest out commanding respect. You could stick this place on a barge in the middle of the Chattahoochee and I would swim for it."

  • "Had the most amazing crabcake Benedict ever. Will be craving this from now on! Third visit to restaurant and every time food is awesome !! Cheeseburger, brunswick stew, crabcake sandwich and dont forget the killer peanut butter pie."

  • "Everything was great, except the dessert list contained nothing gluten free, and there are many possibilities out there. Drinks were good. Food was great."

  • "If you are not looking for the trip Intown for ambiance and a great meal, Common Quarter is the place to go. Everything our group ordered was excellent and our server Steven was excellent. It is very cool space and there is also an outdoor seating area that I plan on sitting in next time. If you go, do not miss ordering the fried chicken skins - a huge hit! Chicken and dumplings, shrimp with spaghettini and the deserts (peanut butter pie!) were totally delicious. We plan on returning soon."

  • "Dessert was Apple crumbs with Ice cream. It was the best I have had in any restaurant. The food was good ,fish was fresh and well prepared .Service was outstanding . Pre dinner drinks took too long ,might need more help in the bar area,so diners get their drinks in a timely fashion."

  • "Muss & Turners is one of our favorite restaurants so we were very excited about Common Quarter which is much closer to us. Things didn't get off to a good start - we had an 8:30 reservation but we weren't seated until 9. We ordered a bottle of wine and perused the menu which had a lot of great sounding items - unfortunately they were out of pretty much everything we attempted to order. We ended up with deviled eggs, salads, sauteed chicken liver and meatballs. The server must have spoken to the owner because he stopped by towards the end of the evening, apologized for the situation and gave us a complementary bottle of wine (there were 4 of us) and a couple of mac & cheese sides."

  • "Was hoping for a place to go on. A regular basis. Food was nothing special at all. We eat out 4 times a week sometimes more. We do not eat at fast food restaurants or chains. Was very disappointed especially since restaurant for a decent review."

  • "We enjoyed a wonderful meal in this lovely place. The wait staff was excellent. The fish and grits were fabulous and some of the creamiest grits ever. The meatloaf was the best my husband has ever had. The breads and salad were delicious but would have enjoyed a bit more salad. We will return."

  • "Went to Common Quarter for the first time with some girlfriends. Always looking for something unique in the burbs. Common Quarter exceeded our expectations. Ordered different entrees and shared all of them. All were excellent - clean plates all around. Will absolutely be back again. Waitress was attentive and patient with us."

  • "The reviews were mixed but we decided to give it a try. We were pleasantly surprised. My carrot salad was good and the crab cakes were fine but not memorable. Dinner was flat iron and chicken and dumpling...also very good The vegetable greens were excellent"

  • "Love the M&T guys spots, always quality food but CQ needs a broader menu at dinner. Burger was terrific."

  • "I just love this hidden gem. I live intown, but my boyfriend lives in Marietta. We were just window shopping in the shopping center where this restaurant is located. We decided to stop in to check out the menu. The guy that greeted us was a true southern gent, and told us about the menu and suggested we stop back in for dinner, which we did. It was such a great experience from start to finish. We will definitely be back soon."

  • "Finally, a great restaurant comes to East Cobb that's not a chain. The food was outstanding and the service was excellent. The decor was a little too minimalist for my taste, but perhaps that's what they were going for. Regardless, it didn't detract much from the overall experience. I'd recommend it without hesitation."

  • "The menu offers some interesting dishes, but the trout I had was overwhelmed by the practically charred brussel sprouts. The appetizer of smoked catfish spread was average. One of my friends is a "basic" food eater and all she could find to eat was the burger. There wasn't even a baked potato or a regular salad on the menu. The venue has possibilities, but I think it needs to up its game on menu selections and execution."

  • "What a great first experience at common quarter....everyone was super friendly.....esp. cuties darlington drew and superbear jacob....lol Really a great experience esp. With someone as crazy and talkative as me......most waiters worst nightmare...but not these two guys....ive already told 4 friends about the place......very nice conversation with the manager owner too.....ill be back soon"

  • "This was our first visit to Common Quarter. Service was excellent. Menu is interesting and our meals were delicious. We had received mixed reviews from friends who tried Common Quarter when it first opened. What ever the challenges they have been corrected. We will be back!"

  • "Common Quarter is a welcome addition to East Cobb. Great food, excellent service, lot's of parking and very conveniently located. We will be back!"

  • "The food during Brunch was good, but all the dishes my table tried were not at the same level compared to other places visited. As a result I would categorize this as a good place to go when living nearby and not willing to drive a long distance. We will probably try their dinner as the menu looks more appealing and since the staff came off as friendly. Don't let the exterior fool you, I had trouble realizing the building was a restaurant, the interior is excellent. Spacious, comfortable, and has what looked to be an impressive bar. Based on other OpenTable reviews, I hope their Dinner offers more dish highlights."

  • "Went for my son's bday and thouroughly enjoyed the starters and dinner. Wine recommended by server was delightful. We asked for a cheese plate (not on the menu) and the sous chef came out explaining why they did not have this and brought a pate for us instead that was delicious. I hope this restaurant stays in business and keeps the quality of food for a long time. It's nice to know Roswell is not the only place in the burbs for superior food. Will go back and tell all my friends this is a great find!"

  • "We had a reservation - when we arrived we were seated in the one location in the restaurant that is hided behind a curtain next to the server's station in the very back of the restaurant. We mentioned to the hostess that we were not happy with the table but we were seated there any way. It was a Monday night with many many open tables. Fortunately, we have been to the restaurant several times and love the food so we will be back!"

  • "Went to the Common Quarter for Valentines Day. Both of us had the Filet which was delicious. Only complaint was that we were actually hungry after the entree. The only salad available to order was a "beet salad" - yuck. No bread, no potato, no rice etc. Filet was delicious but only served with a couple of spinach leaves, a few sliced mushrooms and some sauce. Not worth the price and ended up ordering dessert because we were both hungry."

  • "The experience at Common Quarter just doesn't compare with sister location Local Three. The service, food, ambiance are all better at Local Three. I'll drive the extra distance from now on."

  • "We found the space quite sterile. Not a very appealing look. The lamb dish was great but the $35 tenderloin was very small. Dessert was great"
